Seeking something delicious, my two friends and I decided to venture a little further out without a reservation. We chose this place based on a friend's inspiration from the name alone (haha). And that inspiration turned out to be spot on! The restaurant opened at 11:30, but we arrived around 11:10 after parking in a nearby private lot and walking over. We were the first in line, but soon others started gathering in the quiet residential area, a sign of its popularity. Everyone else turned out to be reservation guests, so we were the last to enter. Luckily, a table had just opened up, so we were seated right away. It's common for such places to require reservations, huh... ^^;; Upon entering, we took off our shoes. The restaurant was a renovated private home, with a cozy interior and a welcoming atmosphere. The central counter had a sunken foot area like a kotatsu, making it quite comfortable. We looked over the menu and asked the staff for recommendations, ultimately choosing the mini course (@2,420). The appetizer was today's recommended dish, tuna and avocado with wasabi soy sauce, the main course was today's fish dish (sauteed black sea bream), and we added rice and hot coffee. The appetizer featured fresh tuna and avocado in a fantastic combination, with a generous portion. The soup was light yet flavorful. The main course of black sea bream had a crispy, fragrant skin and a fresh, delicate yet robust flavor. The creamy sauce paired well with it, and the addition of fish head made it even more satisfying. The salad was served on a separate plate, but the main plate also had plenty of blanched vegetables. I think bread would have been good with the main course, but I personally felt that rice was the right choice. The dessert platter included panna cotta, blackcurrant gelato, chocolate cake, and strawberries, all delicious. The coffee, while decent, was a bit ordinary compared to the other dishes. Overall, everything we chose had great flavor and portion size. The appetizer and main course, both fish dishes, stood out in particular. For the price, I felt it was definitely worth it. If the coffee had been of higher quality, it would have enhanced the post-meal experience. Thank you for the wonderful meal. I would love to visit again.
