The menu didn't mention if rice was included, so I nervously entered the restaurant. But it turned out to be a great choice! The set came with salad, miso soup, rice, and pickles, and it was a great value for the price. I also liked the atmosphere inside the restaurant. The fruit at the end was probably a nice gesture from the restaurant. Thank you very much! I want to come back to try other lunch options. Thank you for the meal! 🌟❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ - What I ordered - - Katsu-ni (with salad, rice, miso soup) 800 yen

Today, I sat down and ordered "Katsu-ni"♪ While waiting for my meal, I enjoyed the retro atmosphere☆彡 When the set meal was served, I admired its appearance♪ The Katsu-ni, rice, miso soup, and salad were well-balanced and satisfying☆彡 The portion size was just right, not too small nor too big! When I tasted the Katsu-ni, it had a flavorful seasoning that made me want to keep eating the rice!! Each dish was carefully seasoned and the meal was well-balanced.

Today's lunch adventure took me to the area around Tsukishima Station. I exited from exit 10 of the Toei Oedo Line Tsukishima Station and found myself on Kiyosumi Street. I walked towards Kachidoki, turned left at the second traffic light, continued straight, crossed the second intersection, and a little further down on the left, I found the restaurant I visited today, called "Tatsu." I arrived at the restaurant at 12:05 on a weekday and was seated at a table by the hostess. As I looked around the restaurant while walking to my table, I noticed there were a total of five customers - two groups of men and a solo male diner. The menu was simple, offering three options: Katsu-ni (pork cutlet stew), Oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl), and Curry Rice, each priced at 800 yen. I decided to go with the Katsu-ni and placed my order with the hostess. In just 4 minutes, the Katsu-ni was served, accompanied by rice, miso soup, salad, and pickles. The Katsu-ni was cooked with onions, dashi, soy sauce, and sugar, with a slightly crispy texture from the fried pork cutlet. The egg topping, however, was a bit overcooked, lacking the desired creaminess. I enjoyed the Katsu-ni, turning it into a Katsudon halfway through, and savored the salad and pickles in between bites. I finished off the meal with the miso soup. Today, I had a quick and satisfying lunch at "Tatsu." Thank you for the meal.

Today's lunch was from Kachidoki! It's more like a collective housing on the first floor, rather than a typical apartment between Kachidoki and Tsukishima! The atmosphere of this izakaya is cool, and it was lunchtime! I didn't think much about the menu, but they had Katsuni, Oyakodon, and Curry Rice! For someone like me who doesn't like eggs, Curry Rice was the only option (laughs). Let's go! Curry Rice! Huh? What's with this visual! It's unexpectedly Keema Curry, right? The curry gives off a homely vibe with a gentle taste! Not too spicy, just a mild roux! There are potatoes and carrots in it, and although the onions are finely chopped giving it a Keema appearance, the taste is like a home-cooked curry! But it's not easy to come across this kind of taste even if you want to! The rice was cooked fluffy and was just right! Added some table seven-spice as an accent midway! For 800 yen including miso soup and salad, they're doing quite well, don't you think? The nostalgic Showa era atmosphere is quite nice, and it seems like a good izakaya to have a drink after work!

The office is nearby, but I always passed by this shop without going in. Since I had time for lunch, I decided to try it out for the first time. The interior was surprisingly spacious, although it looked dark from the outside. They offered a choice of pork cutlet simmered in sauce, chicken and egg rice bowl, or curry for lunch. The waitress, who seemed like a part-timer, was in her coat and helped with serving tea. I was leaning towards curry, but ended up choosing the chicken and egg rice bowl. The chef noticed my hesitation and kindly prepared a small portion of curry for me to taste. The chicken and egg rice bowl had a creamy appearance, with the egg mixed in with the white meat, giving it a gentle flavor. Personally, I thought it could use a bit more seasoning, either salt or soy sauce. I relied on the pickles and salad for some flavor variation. The curry I tried had a homey and mild flavor, similar to the curry you might find at a soba shop. The retro first floor of the Fukujumansion was modest but charming. The shop's aged interior had the expected Showa era vibe.

Located about a 7-minute walk from Tsukishima Station, "Tatsu" is a cozy izakaya with a nostalgic Showa era atmosphere. The surrounding area also has several traditional establishments like sushi restaurants and Western-style diners. I visited alone around noon on a weekday. The retro interior features a counter and a few 4-person tables. The lunch menu offers only 4 options: Hamburg Tomato Stew, Pork Cutlet Stew, Oyakodon, and Curry Rice, all priced at a reasonable 700 yen. I chose the Pork Cutlet Stew, which had a sweet soy-based sauce and a crispy texture with a generous amount of fat. It was satisfying and perfect for a working lunch. The meal also included sashimi, rice, salad, miso soup, and pickles. The sashimi was tuna and horse mackerel. Both the stew and sashimi portions were generous, and you can ask for free rice refills if needed. The miso soup was slightly light in flavor, so those who prefer a richer taste might find it lacking. The kitchen chef and the kind lady serving in the dining area made me feel like I was dining at a countryside home. In these times, finding a 700 yen lunch spot is valuable, so if you're looking for a lunch place near Tsukishima Station, consider giving this place a try.

This is a restaurant located on the first floor of a Showa-era collective housing called "Fukujyu Mansion" in Tsukishima. Most of the eateries in this building are veteran-style Showa-era establishments. The exterior is narrow with a curtain hanging in front, making it hard to see inside and understand the atmosphere. However, there are lunch menu items displayed outside, all priced at 700 yen each. The regular menu includes pork cutlet, oyakodon, and curry rice, along with a daily special which was the recommended hamburger stew on this day. Inside, there are counter seats facing the kitchen, four tables for four people at the back, and a couple of tables for two. The interior is quite worn out but has some interesting handwritten calligraphy-like catchphrases on half sheets. Despite its age, the transom is impressive. When seated, they provide both water and tea. I ordered the Hamburger Tomato Stew (700 yen). The menu is limited, and the food is served quickly, possibly because they finish cooking partially prepared dishes. The set includes the main stewed hamburger, assorted sashimi cuts, pickles, rice, and miso soup. The hamburger was smaller than expected but still had a decent portion considering the price. It has a mild saltiness and fat content, offering a gentle home-cooked flavor. It's simmered in a generous tomato sauce with onions and some leafy greens, seasoned with a hint of cinnamon, giving it a unique taste. The assorted sashimi cuts were served in a small dish piled high. My plate had three types: tuna red meat, fatty tuna, and horse mackerel. All were thick and of high quality. The pickles were finely chopped nuka-zuke cabbage and cucumber. The rice was served in a plastic bowl for men and a ceramic bowl for women, with free refills available. The miso soup was made with fish head, with solid pieces and a flavorful dashi. For 700 yen, this lunch set was very satisfying. Once you overcome the slightly intimidating entrance, you'll enjoy a cheap, filling, fast, decent-tasting, and good value lunch.

Sometimes when passing by, I noticed an old lady who seemed a bit down and it caught my attention. Finally, on a Friday, I decided to visit the shop for the first time. However, I received a phone call and had to go back to work... What a shame... Today, the old lady was not there. It seems to be a non-smoking place, but the previous customer was smoking quite a lot... It has a relaxed atmosphere. Since I don't drink alcohol, I asked for Calpis, but the response was, "Calpis?" which made me a bit hesitant. I ordered a seafood salad, deep-fried tofu, and simmered tripe. First, the simmered tripe arrived. The portion was modest, which was just right. It had a slightly raw smell (I'm okay with it, but some people might not like it), but when eaten with plenty of green onions, it was just right. The soup was light and tasty (personally, I prefer a thicker soup, and suddenly I feel like having tripe hot pot... It has gotten cold all of a sudden). Next was the seafood salad with lots of shellfish and octopus, looking delicious. The dressing (similar to Pietro's refreshing version) matched well with the seafood and was delicious. It was satisfying with a good portion, especially the octopus was delicious. I would like to come back for this one. And lastly, the deep-fried tofu! The sound of frying was heard, so my expectations were high. The gentle dashi flavor seeped in. It was a bit light in taste but delicious! The dashi was so tasty. It warmed up my body and was fantastic. Just then, the old lady appeared! I'm glad she looks well. I can't help but worry about things like rent and the salary of the chef... I hope she stays healthy forever. The shop has a deep and nice atmosphere, with the quiet but attentive chef. I will visit again, including for lunch. Thank you for a lovely time (if only that person had ended the week... What's up with that person...).

Located right between Tsukishima and Kachidoki, this traditional izakaya offers a wide variety of Japanese dishes. When I visited after a long time, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chef from a Japanese restaurant in Ginza had started working here. I enjoyed a hearty meal with a selection of sashimi, grilled fish, simmered vegetables, and mixed rice. The shochu (bottle) here is also reasonably priced, making it a great place to enjoy both drinks and food.
