I had visited Rokki 2 before the renovation, but what drew me to the original main store? Perhaps it was the cost performance that made me choose it! Did this casual choice pay off? Is it because it's within walking distance from your companion's house? Well, use what you have! This is also a material for a good story! I used a coupon from the store to get a complimentary firework meat cake, which was incredibly delicious. It was made with a rare cut of meat called shintama (thigh of lean meat) with seasoned rice inside, and it was surprisingly tasty for a free service! When I arrived early and entered the restaurant, an attractive and young lady welcomed me with a big smile. She seemed very friendly and approachable, which made me feel a bit embarrassed. Despite my lack of understanding of the situation, my companion arrived late and placed the food order first. This interaction served as a good lubricant, and I felt a good connection with the staff at the restaurant. The lively and enthusiastic way they worked made me think that they really value their employees. It turns out that the young man who welcomed us used to be a regular customer and fell in love with the place, eventually getting a job there. He even offered complimentary sparkling wine to the ladies! This unexpected surprise in a restaurant covered with a vinyl cover at the entrance definitely boosted the impression and made me feel like I got a great deal. After all, I ordered the liver skewers, which were recommended by my companion who was a former customer turned employee. The seared liver skewer for 218 yen each had a unique rare and smoky flavor. When I tried to order more, they were out of stock at this location, so they had to bring them from another branch (Ginza 9-chome). I appreciated their apology and effort. I am a bit frugal, so I only requested the complimentary meat cake, but I definitely wanted to try the liver skewers, so I asked for them. The rest of the order was mostly what my companion wanted. The truffle salt ginkgo fritters, cabbage anchovy sauté, fluffy yam teppanyaki (Fukuoka limited edition), and the world's least smelly chicken liver pate (with unlimited baguette refills) were all ordered. The conversation was so lively, and since we are both drinkers, even if the food was cheap, the alcohol made it quite an expensive night! It was nice of them to bring the liver skewers from the sister store, and their enthusiasm was appreciated. This lively atmosphere is what makes this restaurant stand out. Thank you for the delicious meal! I will definitely come back! Even within the same group of restaurants, they can be very different! This one is the best for now! (Although, it's not that great, to be honest. It might be a result of trying out all the branches, but for now, this one is the best!)
