There were two types of croissants available on this day, priced at 300 yen and 280 yen excluding tax. One was made with the classic Dinkel wheat, while the other was made with Hokkaido Minami Kaori as a substitute when Dinkel wheat was not available. Both were delicious! The butter was meltingly delicious with a strong wheat flavor. The Minami Kaori croissant had uneven layers, with a chewy center that enhanced the butter flavor. On the other hand, the Dinkel wheat croissant had uniform layers with a perfect integration of butter and consistent sweetness. Both croissants were airy and satisfying, worth the price. The service was also exceptional, with attentive phone reservations and clear communication on the available croissant types on the day of visit. Overall, a delightful experience that left me happy and satisfied.

Kurus-san, who had always been curious, finally visited the shop recommended by the manager to try the summer limited edition cereal. This bread contains seeds like pumpkin seeds, cream cheese, and dried mango. Although the price seemed high for its size, the texture of the bread was surprisingly satisfying. The sweetness of the dried mango combined with the unique acidity of the German bread, giving it an authentic taste of foreign bread. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

Popular bakery "Panya kurs" in front of Nijo Castle in Kyoto, known for its long lines for both hard bread and deli items. The breads Pandomi and Levain are so popular that some people even make reservations to purchase them. The bakery, run by a second-generation owner who trained at other shops and gained experience through events and pop-ups, is known for its high-quality bread that is also used in famous restaurants. On this day, I tried the "baked curry" and "Viennoiserie chocolate", both of which were delicious with a spicy flavor in the curry. Thank you for the meal.

I have always wanted to visit this popular bakery. The staff explained each bread to me and they all looked delicious, so I want to come back again. The croissants were crispy and delicious, with plenty of butter used.

A bakery with really delicious bread. It was quite crowded. Some bread can also be reserved. I didn't like the yuzu pepper flavor in the bread from the restaurant Ogawa, but the croissant was extremely delicious. The curry bread had flavorful minced meat and the texture of the bread was great, very tasty. The egg tart is also recommended. The BLT was classic but the deliciousness of the bread stood out.

11:00 am selection at a popular bakery. Croissant ¥300 ◎◎... My favorite croissant lately. The butter soaks in and the inside dough is chewy and moist. Cheese scone ¥250 ○◎... Crispy and crumbly. Soft and quite light texture.

At Kurs in Marutamachi, Kyoto, I tried their Croissant (300 yen) and KINKAN Half (330 yen). This bakery is popular in the competitive bread scene of Kyoto. Among the delicious bread options, I selected these two. The Croissant was crispy on the outside and soft inside, with a delightful buttery aroma that filled my senses as soon as I took a bite. The semi-hard KINKAN had a savory aroma from the dough, combined with the tangy flavor and texture of kumquat, making it irresistible.

There were various caution signs at the entrance, so I hesitated a bit before mustering the courage to enter. The staff had a tray and would take the bread I pointed to. There was a sign saying "No photography inside the store," but they allowed me to take photos when I asked. Kyoto really is full of bakeries.

I left my luggage at the hotel and went for a walk nearby where I came across the popular bakery called Kurusu, where I had made a purchase at a previous event. My husband asked if we should stop by, and I replied "Of course!" and opened the door to the shop. I was hoping to get some bread for toasting, but unfortunately, all the bread was already reserved and sold out. It was still before noon, but it seems that popular shops are always crowded. So, I decided to enjoy some baked curry bread, cut sponge cake, and scones in my hotel room for a snack. The baked curry bread had a firm texture and a delicious filling. My husband enjoyed it a lot. The sponge cake had a fine texture, but I personally prefer a stronger butter flavor. The scones were well-made with a crispy crust, and we reheated them at home and enjoyed them with cream and jam. The bakery offers a wide variety of items at reasonable prices. It seems to be a popular spot among locals, so it's best to make a reservation if you want to try their delicious bread. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant around 13:05 on Sunday. - Brain Drop 380 yen: The butter mixed with yuzu pepper from the Yuzu Pepper Butter Restaurant Ogawa was very delicious! It's a dangerously delicious food that you can eat as much as you want. - Bread part: The bread with yuzu pepper butter and teriyaki chicken had a great flavor combination. It had a moist and firm texture. - Teriyaki chicken part: Satisfying with two pieces. - Bressanne Fig 340 yen: It was made with brioche dough, mascarpone, and fig. It was quite mildly sweet. - Canele 300 yen: It was simply delicious, not too small, which was good.

After leaving Astrea Coffee, I thought about going to the nearby Maruki Bakery, but decided to go to this place near Nijo Castle instead. People passing by all commented, "What a lovely bakery in such a place," with an elegant atmosphere. The staff were not face-to-face, but rather stood beside you to take your order, which was a unique touch. It was a bit past 2 o'clock and late, so I chose from the remaining selection and took some home. The croissant was crispy and flaky. There was no jam or cream for the scones, so I had them with butter instead. The baguette had a chewy texture, which I liked the most. Since the weather wasn't great for viewing autumn leaves, I decided to take my bread and head to the Museum of Modern Art.

I visited a famous bakery where customers were coming in one after another. The bread is served by the staff. I tried the red bean paste with butter and walnuts, white bean paste with condensed milk and butter cereal, and chestnut paste with butter. They were all delicious with hearty bread and tasty fillings.

The shop recommended to me was quite popular recently, so I arrived 15 minutes before opening and found a line already forming. I waited in line along with others who came after me. The shop is small, but the manufacturing area is impressive! The scones were ready about 20 minutes after opening. Customers tell the staff what they want, and they retrieve it for you. After paying, I waited outside. They offer a variety of scones, from plain ones to sandwich and dessert options. I will update as I try more. The whole wheat scone and the rum raisin scone were delicious. The French toast scone was surprisingly heavy and had a nice touch of cinnamon and rum. The cranberry and cream cheese scone was dense and had a nice bitter caramel cream with hazelnuts. The Gâteau au Chocolat on Thursdays was rich and perfect for chocolate lovers. The doughnuts had a chewy and rustic texture that I enjoyed. Overall, it was a delicious experience!

I went to Hunter in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City for dinner, a popular spot known for their curry on Wednesdays and hamburgers at the end of the month. They also serve Cruz's bread, which was delicious, so I finally decided to visit the bakery. I arrived at 11 am on a Saturday and there was already a long line. It's recommended to park in advance if you're coming by car, as announced on their Instagram. It's a popular spot in town that I hope doesn't go away. The half-size Campagne bread for 430 yen was tangy with a sweet aftertaste, offering a delightful texture that pairs well with any filling. It seems to enhance the flavor of the ingredients. The scone for 220 yen was a simple, crispy treat with a nice butter and egg flavor. The donut for 250 yen was large and chewy, absorbing a lot of oil which made it heavy and hard to bite through. It's lightly flavored, so adding toppings like kinako or powdered sugar would be a nice touch.

I had always wanted to visit this shop after hearing "it's delicious". The shop can only accommodate up to two people inside, so I waited outside while admiring the bread. Inside, you can ask the staff to get what you want. There were many hard bread varieties, which got me excited as a hard bread lover. The fillings were generous, and the bread was not too hard even when cold, with a strong flavor. It was a delicious bread that made me happy.

I wanted to come and see "Kurusu" underground from Nijo Castle Station, about a 5-minute walk, near Okane Shrine. Next to Nijo Wakasaya, the stylish vibe is evident from the outside. I purchased "KUROA", a product that contains anko and walnuts in butter. The package says the anko is from the neighboring Nijo Wakasaya, giving a good impression of collaboration. The taste is delicious! The fluffy and chewy bread, elegant anko, and the walnut-rich butter blend perfectly. The generous amount of butter is great! There are few types of bread, but looking at others, there seem to be various kinds, so I want to come back again!

For lunch, I decided to go to this bakery to get some bread. I checked their business days beforehand since they have many days off. They had a lot of hard-looking bread, but I picked out a few to buy. I bought four in total. The sausage bread had delicious sausage and a hard baguette. The pickles were tasty and added a nice crunch. The ham bread was softer and chewier than it looked, with a great combination of mayonnaise and ham. The scone had a simple yet flavorful taste. The blue cheese fromage had a high blue cheese content and seemed expensive. It was slightly sweet and heavy, but could be enjoyed as a dessert. The total for all four was a little over 1600 yen. Hmm... it's pricey but tasty. I might come back occasionally to enjoy them again.

I visited the restaurant recommended by the staff where I had lunch. The locals often go there to buy bread, so sometimes they sell out in the morning. This time, I visited in the afternoon and most of the bread was already sold out! I ended up buying a scone and anko butter. They were delicious!

I visited the bakery around 17:20 on a regular day. There was one customer before me. I tried the half-size banana version of the bread for 310 yen. It had a different texture on the outside and inside, and I was able to eat it without reheating. The next morning, the outside had softened, so I reheated it. It had a slightly spicy taste, maybe from white pepper, and it tasted like it had ginger in it. I also tried the small bun for 100 yen, which was delicious after being reheated in a steam oven. The scone for 200 yen had a fragrant aroma and was very tasty.

Around 11:40 on Sunday, there were about four people waiting in front of the shop. When I passed by at 12:15, no one was waiting, so I waited for someone to come out from inside and then entered the shop. - Salt and Butter Bread 200 yen: The melted butter soaked into the bread perfectly, making it very delicious! This was the best salt bread I have ever had! - Pain au Noix (Walnut Bread) 220 yen: A moist bread with walnuts inside. This was the most delicious walnut bread I have ever had! The walnuts were not overpowering, and they complemented the flavor of the bread well. - Victoria Cake 300 yen: I was drawn to this cake-like dessert. The homemade raspberry flavor was strong, and the double cream was not as noticeable. At first, I felt like the raspberry flavor was too overpowering, but as I got used to the acidity, I started to appreciate the balance with the powdered sugar and brioche.
