Shrimp fried rice with soup and pickles for 850 yen. It was served in 5 minutes. The fried rice was light and fluffy. The soup seemed to be beef-based with a mild flavor, but it didn't have much taste without cilantro. Overall, no complaints for this price. Thank you for the meal!

Beef Fried Noodles 950 yen I had been wanting to go to this restaurant for a month, but I didn't have time to go due to various reasons. Finally, I was able to come this time! I looked at the menu and immediately ordered the beef fried noodles. (I probably haven't eaten beef fried noodles in Japan before) The taste is similar to the fried noodles in Chinese middle and high school cafeterias. The noodles have a good chewy texture, and the komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach) and beef are delicious. This fried noodles have a strong aroma of a Chinese wok, making me want to eat more! The soup is beef soup from Lanzhou Ramen, with the flavor of spices from the northwest of China. I love cilantro, so I was happy to have it. The side dish is pickled vegetables, which is sweet and perfect for my taste. It was a bit disappointing that the water glass was a little dirty. Also, the restaurant is small, so there is a possibility of sharing a table!

I love Lanzhou ramen and was excited to discover a new place on my way back. They offer regular and large portions for the same price. The soup was delicious, with a slightly acidic taste in the chili oil. The beef slices were a bit thin, about 3-4 pieces. The noodles were thin and chewy (personally, I prefer less chewy noodles). The daikon was well-cooked and flavorful. The taste was great, but unfortunately, the cleanliness of the staff and kitchen was lacking. Despite the good taste, the lack of cleanliness makes me hesitant to return.

A rare Lanzhou ramen shop has opened in Ningyocho. This place used to be called the Taste Series, and in the past 5 years, it has changed from a Chinese restaurant to a sea cucumber shop, and now to a Lanzhou ramen shop. Climbing up the steep stairs to the second floor, the interior of the new shop is clean, with unusual spices displayed like decorations! For my first time trying Lanzhou ramen, I followed the delicious eating method on the table, scooping up the noodles from the bottom and gently mixing them with the spicy beef soup. The chewy thick noodles and the mild beef broth with spices that you want to drink when you have a hangover. In the second half, I added homemade spicy chili oil for a flavor change. Lanzhou ramen for the first time, a taste that makes you want to eat it regularly.

I came across a restaurant that left me feeling conflicted. While I would rate it around 3.1 to 3.3, I don't think it's worth agonizing over. The place seemed to be a Lanzhou noodle shop, located in an unexpected spot. The narrow, steep staircase led me to the second floor. Despite having limited stomach space, I was drawn to try another bowl of ramen. The interior was cramped, with a ratio of 2:4:2:4 seating arrangement. I decided to enter, and the Japanese owner seemed to be running the place single-handedly. I ordered the Lanzhou beef noodle soup, which came with round noodles and a unique broth flavor. The noodles lacked the desired chewiness, but the soup had an interesting taste that I hope becomes popular in Japan. Despite being only 90% full, I ordered a beer, which was a mistake. Towards the end, I struggled to finish the noodles and regretted ordering the beer. Overall, the place had its charm, but there were some shortcomings that made it difficult for me to settle on a rating. It's a unique spot with a warm atmosphere, but the noodles may not be to everyone's liking. The kind owner's personality was endearing, but there were some hiccups in the service. I found myself torn between the positives and negatives, ultimately settling on a rating of 3.2.

I had Lanzhou Ramen (large size). The beef broth was light and clear with a rich flavor. The freshly made noodles had a chewy texture. I enjoyed changing the taste with vinegar and chili oil while finishing every last bit. Thank you for the meal.
