I used to be completely hooked on this restaurant that I visited before. I wish it was closer so I could go there more often. The meat quality at this location at this price is truly amazing. I had the following menu items: - Senmai (beef intestine) sashimi, Heart sashimi for $780 - Premium tongue, thick-cut tongue, tongue kalbi with salt topping - Filet, skirt, inner thigh, tongue tip, harami lamb, tsurami, tecchan, chimaki - Bibim noodles, cold noodles (both half portions) - Kimchi platter, Namul platter for $680 each - Rice, lettuce for $120 / 300 - Apple sherbet for $480

It's been a while since I last visited Taisho-en, and it's still amazing! I visited for the second time and even late at night, being able to eat such high-quality meat is incredible haha. Not only is the quality of the meat great, but the sauce and seasoning are also really delicious! When you come to Kyoto, this is definitely a restaurant you must visit again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had a regular drinking party with my Gion friends, and this time we chose this restaurant! It took about 10 minutes to walk from Kawaramachi. We quickly ordered delicious beer and ordered meat! We ordered the usual tongue, kalbi, and hormone, but I personally thought the hoso was the best. All the meat was delicious, so I will continue to gather information and try more in the future. I go about once a month, or maybe even more often? Sometimes I can go at the right timing, but other times I can't. I call the head chef Takashi to see if I can go, and if I can't, I go to another place. Even in this hot summer, they always serve fresh meat that is properly stored, so I can go there with peace of mind.

This is a yakiniku restaurant that opened about 2 years ago, and I have visited it several times. This time, I had the luxurious yukhoe, premium tongue, premium kalbi, beef intestine, and tail soup. The luxurious yukhoe comes with three types like roast beef, and it's recommended to mix it well with onions and egg yolk. You cook the meat yourself, but all of them are easy to eat without any strong smell or excessive marbling. The tail soup looks like it has a lot of meat fat, but it's not too heavy and can be enjoyed easily. The menu on the blackboard is the daily recommendation, and some items tend to run out quickly. The small restaurant has a counter and 2-3 table seats, and it's relatively easy to get in during early hours.

I had the best experience eating at this restaurant, where I got to try various rare and exquisite cuts of meat seasoned with the chef's special salt, soy sauce, or miso sauce. The chef has 30 years of experience in the world of yakiniku, and I learned a lot from him, from selecting the meat to cutting it and seasoning it. He was also a very kind person. I will definitely visit again.

It's been a while since I visited Gion, and I went to Daisho-en. This restaurant is owned by Nikuntyu-san, so the quality of the meat is excellent and consistent. From salted tongue to salted and marinated dishes, the seasoning is top-notch. When you're in the Gion area, be sure to visit this yakiniku restaurant. Thank you as always. It was a delicious meal.

Located just a short walk from Gion Shijo Station. Kyoto Hanazono is the main store and the Gion store opened in August 2022, and this is my 3rd or 4th visit. This place offers great value for money and delicious meat, making it a casual and nice place to visit. The owner, Ohira Daisho, has a great personality and character, making the atmosphere of the restaurant very pleasant. The restaurant has counter seats, table seats, and semi-private rooms, making it accessible to all kinds of customers. And it's cheap and delicious. The marinated meat, in particular, is very delicious and highly recommended. The menu we had this time for about 16,000 yen for two people included kimchi, luxurious yukhoe, harami, roast beef, thick-cut tongue, premium tongue (both marinated and salted), tongue geta, harami, kainomi, tendon, akasen, misuji. A popular restaurant with its main branch in a flower garden finally made its way to Gion in Kyoto, which seemed too far away. The concept is "MEAT + SMILE = HAPPY." The parent company is a butcher shop, offering a daily lineup of the best cuts. Despite being in Gion, the prices are surprisingly high-value! The food is so delicious that you can't stop ordering more after trying the set menu. The menu included a variety of dishes such as seared turtle, raw sirloin yukhoe, seared pork belly, seared liver, and more. The salted menu featured top tongue, thick-cut tongue, tongue geta, hump, and lamp. The sauce menu included hich, lamp, fuke, harami, sagari, special loin, top mino, tecchan, and heavenly meat. Additional items like kimchi and bean sprout namul were also available. They also offered cold noodles and rice.

A recommended restaurant in the Gion area of Kyoto that is open late at night, offering good value for money and high-quality meat. They have counter seats and table seats, so you can enjoy it in various situations. On this day, we had a luxurious yukhoe made up of several types of meat called "luxury yukhoe," as well as an assorted plate and a birthday meat plate. My favorite was the zabuton. I went to Gion Daisho-en with some friends who love meat. The restaurant is located near the Gion-Shijo station on the Keihan Electric Railway in Kyoto. We ordered some recommended dishes, including Namul and Kimchi platters, as well as Heart sashimi, Roast beef, and Chuck flap sashimi. The meat was beautifully arranged and tasted delicious. We also enjoyed dishes like Tongue platter, Fillet ear, and Sirloin. The meat was cooked with a tasty sauce that complemented its flavor well. We ended the meal with Cold noodles and Spicy mixed noodles, which were also very satisfying. Overall, the quality of the meat was excellent, and the variety of cuts available made the meal enjoyable. The price was reasonable, making it a convenient choice for those who do not drink alcohol. I plan to visit this restaurant again in the future.

I was invited to a meat lovers' gathering organized by the gourmet blogger, Asthma Man, at the popular Gion restaurant "Daisho-en." Located just a short walk from Gion Shijo Station, this restaurant opened its Gion branch in August 2022. The interior has counter and table seating, and on this day, we had a special course prepared by Asthma Man for our group of six. The Asthma SP course featured high-quality black wagyu beef, showcasing an impressive presentation with six servings. We started with a warming up of kimchi and namul platter, followed by a trio of delightful raw dishes: Sagari Yukke, heart sashimi, and roast beef. The highlight was the presentation of various cuts of beef, including tongue and rare cuts like the Hile Mimi and Marushin Hile. The chef also presented a selection of premium cuts with two different sauces tailored to each cut. Each cut was delicious, with the Sagari standing out for its tenderness and flavor. The meal continued with a variety of cuts like Hitsuji, Sagari, and more, each offering a unique taste experience. The meal concluded with Bibim noodles, providing a flavorful and satisfying end to the feast. Overall, the experience was exceptional, and I was impressed by the quality and variety of the meats served. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

We wanted to eat delicious meat at a meetup, so this time we made a reservation for 6 people. Finally, we arrived at the Gion branch. First, we had Namul and Kimchi, which were served generously without being stingy. Next was the sashimi - the fresh heart sashimi had a crunchy texture that was irresistible. The roast beef was moist and perfectly cooked. The Sagari sashimi had a rich color and thick slices, it was excellent. We were shown 7 different types of meat, and we could choose to have them with miso sauce, salt, or other options. The salt-grilled fillet mignon was a rare cut and everyone, even those trying it for the first time, enjoyed it. The Marushin was lightly grilled and delicious. Then came Uchihira, Zabuton, and Krimi, which were all fantastic. The sauce at Daisho-en paired perfectly with the marbled Zabuton meat. The Misuji and Sagari were also delicious and went well with rice. The hormone meats like Hatsu, Tsurami, Tecchan, Mino, and Akasen were also great - no unpleasant smell and very tasty. Lastly, the Hiuchi and Tail were outstanding, with the Hiuchi having a sweet and delicious fat. The Tail was thick and rich in flavor. The cold noodles and Pipin noodles were highly recommended by everyone. For dessert, we had a refreshing sweet treat. Thank you, Master, for a wonderful meal.

I had been wanting to go to the newly opened Gion branch of Taisho-en for a long time, and I finally went. The Hanaen branch was quite reasonable, but the Gion branch also offers high-quality meat at a great value. The chef's character is also the best!
