I went to Sasaya, a sushi restaurant in Waseda. They weren't serving lunch today, so I ordered nigiri for lunch. It was raining and very cold, so I had hot sake. The platter included tuna, shrimp, and tamago. It was casual and easy to eat sushi.

I had the Negitoro bowl for lunch and came here to update my review. As always, the Negitoro bowl comes in a regular size. It's almost time for the Yakko to change to cold somen noodles for the season. I enjoyed it once again this time. I usually come to Sasaya during lunchtime. The Chirashi bowl starts at 700 yen, and Nigiri sushi starts at 1000 yen. If you upgrade to a large size for the Chirashi or bowl dishes, it costs an extra 50 yen, but if you order a regular size, there's no extra charge for the large size. I usually order the "medium" size for the Negitoro bowl. It comes as a set with the Negitoro bowl, miso soup, and a side dish (usually tofu, sometimes cold noodles in the summer). They also come to refill your tea regularly, so the service is good. They also give you a warm towel, which is a nice touch for a lunch place. Today's meal was delicious as always!
