A long-established sushi restaurant located near Edogawabashi, towards Waseda. Their appetizers are delicious, and the sushi is also tasty. Despite being a long-established restaurant, they have introduced touch panel iPads. There is a knowledgeable staff member who is well-versed in Japanese sake, so when you ask for recommendations, they will bring you various types of sake with detailed explanations. If you want to enjoy sushi and Japanese sake, this is the place to go!

Due to the state of emergency declaration, the restaurant had been closed for a long time, so I hadn't been able to visit this year. Finally, I was able to revisit as they have resumed business after a long time. The sushi restaurant still retains its unique izakaya-style atmosphere, which is enjoyable.

This is the last sushi restaurant gathering of the year. The sight of a 300 yen sake on the menu at a sushi restaurant that I frequent never fails to excite me. The fact that I keep coming back here means it has become a part of my routine, so I will give it an even higher rating.

Despite not being a high-end sushi restaurant, this place offers a wide selection of Japanese sake starting from 300 yen per glass, which is quite rare nationwide. On this particular day, I enjoyed my favorite sake without worrying about the price. I also tried the freshly made salted fish eggs, which was perfect for a sake lover like me. It had a rich flavor with a hint of citrus, and it paired well with fresh oysters and sashimi. Even though I visited from a distance for the first time, I highly recommend this casual and enjoyable restaurant to others who may be far away.

Due to the impact of the coronavirus, the store was closed for a while, but it has finally reopened. However, now there is a request for self-restraint once again. It must be really tough for restaurants in this situation. It is a sign of a great restaurant to have many regular customers. I hope to become one of those regulars and continue to visit regularly. The lineup of sake is still excellent as always. There is always a new dish to try every time I visit, so my options keep increasing. And the prices are surprisingly reasonable for a sushi restaurant. As the explanation from the restaurant says, it truly feels like an izakaya where you can enjoy sushi.

I went to Sasaya, a sushi restaurant in Waseda. They weren't serving lunch today, so I ordered nigiri for lunch. It was raining and very cold, so I had hot sake. The platter included tuna, shrimp, and tamago. It was casual and easy to eat sushi.

The convenience of being a 1-minute walk from home, combined with the fact that despite being a revolving sushi restaurant, you can enjoy sake starting from 400 yen per glass, with an excellent selection. In addition to the regular menu, there are also limited one-per-person menu items available, and on this day, there was Ganjin available, so I chose that without hesitation. However, there was also Kudari from Kyohei last year, which I have in my home refrigerator, but I have not yet tried this season's version, so I also requested that. For the third glass, I tried Inazou, which I had never seen before. This sake from Mansui was new to me, so I finished with this. The selection of side dishes also changes depending on the season, so each time I go, I can enjoy both the sake and the side dishes without getting tired of them.

Today's lunch was at Waseda. I walked along Waseda University's main gate and turned left at the signal after Tsurumaki Komae, entering a residential area where this restaurant is located. It was already past 1 PM, and it was about time for lunchtime to end, so I decided to give it a try. -> Ordered items: - Tuna bowl @1000 - Bottle of beer (medium) @594 The sushi restaurant has been operating in the neighborhood for a long time and seems to have recently undergone a nice renovation. The spacious and clean interior exudes a traditional Japanese atmosphere. I took a seat at the available counter. Behind the counter, there were two veteran-looking chefs. When I looked at the menu, I noticed they had a lunch beer, and since I have been feeling the heat of this summer, I didn't hesitate to order it. The chef quietly asked, "Bottle?" and I quickly replied, "Yes" (laughs). Maybe he is the son of the owner, as he brought tea and a wet towel and confirmed my order, asking, "Would you like a lunch beer as well?" but I didn't even hear those words. I firmly reiterated, "I'll have a bottle!" (laughs). They had three types of bottled beer available, and I chose Kirin Lager without hesitation. While sipping the lager, I observed the kitchen. The calm demeanor of the chefs provided a sense of reassurance. For lunch, I ordered a tuna bowl. The bowl was filled with plenty of fresh tuna sashimi, neatly arranged. The taste was rich and the tuna was fatty and delicious. It was definitely different from the tuna at conveyor belt sushi restaurants. As I enjoyed my meal, I noticed some locals placing an order for a sushi assortment for a community gathering. The restaurant seems to be well-rooted in the neighborhood. They also offer free Wi-Fi and have introduced payment methods like AirPay and PayPay, showing their commitment to keeping up with the times. A town with such a sushi restaurant is definitely a great town to be in.

When you see the rows of sake bottles lined up in front of the store, you can feel the excitement of a local shop that appeals to sake lovers. The premium sake here is priced very reasonably for a sushi restaurant. They have recently introduced tablets for ordering, making it easier to choose from the wide variety of sake available. With such affordable prices, you can enjoy drinking without worrying about your wallet.

I visited because it was near the wedding venue. The cost performance was good and the service was also good. Especially, the landlady was very pleasant and soothing. The sake was delicious, and even though he seemed busy, a chef-like person poured it right in front of us. The explanation was also polite and detailed. It would be nice to visit regularly if it was nearby.

I have been to most of the sushi restaurants in this area, but this one is located in a residential area among bookbinding companies. There are quite a few table seats, and it's a reasonably priced place where you can enjoy some drinks and sushi while sitting at the table. The quality is not exceptional, but not too low either, just average. Even though it's not a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, you can order using a touchpad at the table, which surprised me the first time I went. I have used this place a few times when going with a group of friends. It wasn't crowded when we went on a weekday, with only about 2 other groups besides us.

Cooking fish requires professional skills to make it fluffy and moist. While there are ordinary restaurants where you can enjoy sake without any issues, there are also places where you can feel the staff's dedication through their carefully selected lineup.

It seems like there are knowledgeable people about alcohol, with a good selection of sake, including some unique and interesting options. They provide explanations which make it enjoyable. The fish dishes are not just fresh, but also have a rich flavor due to aging, making them quite delicious.

This place is just a short walk from my home. It's my second visit here. The sake menu has changed a lot since last time, which is great for someone who loves sake like me. However, I personally hate smoke, and on this day, the counter was full of smokers. Luckily, the counter was full so I didn't have to endure that hell, but just the thought of being seated there gives me chills...

The strategy of lining up sake bottles outside the shop to attract drinkers is a common tactic for sake enthusiasts. I had my eye on this place for a while using that logic. Finally, I was able to enter through the noren curtain and see the whole picture. Not only is the lineup impressive, but the pricing is also surprisingly reasonable for a revolving sushi restaurant. You can drink a glass (90ml) for 350 yen, which is incredibly generous. The sushi prices are also affordable. With these prices, I can visit frequently. Well done! :)

I had the Negitoro bowl for lunch and came here to update my review. As always, the Negitoro bowl comes in a regular size. It's almost time for the Yakko to change to cold somen noodles for the season. I enjoyed it once again this time. I usually come to Sasaya during lunchtime. The Chirashi bowl starts at 700 yen, and Nigiri sushi starts at 1000 yen. If you upgrade to a large size for the Chirashi or bowl dishes, it costs an extra 50 yen, but if you order a regular size, there's no extra charge for the large size. I usually order the "medium" size for the Negitoro bowl. It comes as a set with the Negitoro bowl, miso soup, and a side dish (usually tofu, sometimes cold noodles in the summer). They also come to refill your tea regularly, so the service is good. They also give you a warm towel, which is a nice touch for a lunch place. Today's meal was delicious as always! Thank you for the meal!

I use this place for lunch because it's close to my workplace. It's quite popular among local office workers (although the customers seem to be on the older side). Prices start from around 700 yen, with options like sushi, rice bowls, and set meals. The taste and cost performance are decent. I wish the fish portion in the rice bowls was a bit larger though. I haven't been there for dinner yet. They have a daily recommendation written, but since there's no price listed, I'm hesitating to try it, wondering how much it would cost.
