Waseda Station on the Tozai Line, just outside of Exit 2. Located along Natsumezaka Street. The interior of the restaurant mainly consists of table seating, with a bright and clean atmosphere. Despite having plenty of available seats inside, customers are mysteriously asked to write their names on a waiting list and wait in the waiting area outside. I ordered the Hiyashi Chuka (748 yen) as they had just started serving it for the season. The sauce had a tangy soy sauce flavor with a refreshing hint of lemon. The toppings and noodles were average in terms of portion and taste, nothing particularly outstanding about this Hiyashi Chuka.

Kotowari's live performance at Waseda in early 2023 was the first rock show of the year. Before the show, I enjoyed a brief moment with a flashy rock show vibe. I thought about having a drink, but I didn't want too much garlic flavor to bother me during the live performance, so I ordered some ginger dumplings. Lately, I've been enjoying frozen ginger dumplings as a main dish, so having them available was much appreciated. With a cold beer in hand, I savored the spicy ginger dumplings, which were plump and filled with vegetables and meat, creating a delicious overall taste. I find that the ginger's sharpness actually pairs better with alcohol than garlic. Lately, I've been thinking that this combination is more enjoyable than those with garlic. With just that, I found myself quickly drinking two beers, feeling like a true regular at the restaurant. Mizuki, the drummer, was also enjoying some ramen with tender chashu slices, making me want to try it next time. Despite my intentions, I always end up with dumplings and beer – it's just my go-to choice.

Gyoza no Oushou (from Kyoto), I really love it, even though it's a bit late to write about it now. I remember writing some weird stuff in a review before, but let me clarify... it doesn't mean anything! When I was a kid, I didn't really like gyoza, but as I started eating out on my own as a student, I frequented places like Oushou and Toshu, and naturally I became a fan of gyoza. Now it's one of my favorite foods. There are many places with delicious gyoza, but in the end, I always come back here. Because where else can you get 3 plates of gyoza and 2 draft beers for such a good deal? I've lost count of how many times I've eaten Oushou's gyoza, and sentimentally it should definitely be in my top 10, but then that would mean Toshu, Yoshinoya, Sakana Kitakata, Hakone Soba, Katsuya, Tenya... all these chain restaurants with sentimental value would also make it to the top 10, so popular chains with sentimental value get a 4.9 out of 5. Gyoza double with a little extra is the best, but with the app coupon, ordering a gyoza double gets you a free plate of gyoza, so it's always 3 pieces of gyoza. Oh man, it's so delicious. It's not about logic! U Can't Touch This! I'll say it again, it doesn't mean anything.

Ankake Ramen with five toppings (Fair Set A). A first-time experience at this restaurant. Customers range from students (middle and high school) to elderly. I think it's Cantonese noodles. The set comes with dumplings and almond jelly. Surprisingly, there's a bit of a wait before it arrives. The noodles under the ankake have a nostalgic smell, similar to tantanmen noodles. It's incredibly hot. Delicious. The dumplings are okay, nothing special. They're also very hot. The ankake has hot shiitake mushrooms, plenty of carrots, and greens, with a strong pepper flavor that remains tasty until the end. The almond jelly has a slightly unusual taste. It's cut into large pieces. Thank you for the meal. The service here also seems a bit slow, despite there being a decent amount of people.

There is a Osho restaurant at Waseda Station. I went there on an empty stomach. As I looked at the menu, there was already someone in my heart. Yes, that someone is the Tianjin noodles. Whenever I go to Osho, I always end up ordering it. The sweetness of Tianjin and the ramen go so well together. And of course, the gyoza is a must! It's just so delicious, isn't it? There are so many items on the menu, so I think about trying something else, but I always end up going back to the Tianjin noodles. Thank you for the meal!

It's been a while since I had lunch at Osho. The Friday daily lunch special is a set with Wonton Ramen, Half Fried Rice, and Bang Bang Chicken for 795 yen including tax. It's a good deal! Even though it doesn't come with gyoza, I'm excited to challenge myself to finish it all. I'm sure I'll get sleepy after eating it all. Let's dig in!

Gyoza no Ohsho located on Natsumesaka in Waseda. Ohsho is a place that would definitely see an increase in frequency if it were closer to home. This time, I visited at a rather odd time of 3:30 PM on a Saturday to avoid the crowds. We had the following dishes: - Karaage (fried chicken) - Gyoza (dumplings) - Liver and leek stir-fry - Sauce yakisoba (fried noodles) Well, everything was delicious, but the karaage was especially my favorite. It seemed to be made with chicken breast, and it was not dry at all, with a crispy and fragrant coating. When you sprinkle lemon and Ohsho's unique pepper on the karaage, it becomes even more delicious. The sauce yakisoba was also tasty! It had plenty of sauce, making it really delicious! I would like to visit again soon. Thank you for the meal!

I got in the mood for dumplings, but since it was a holiday, there were few open stores. Gyoza no Ohsho is open year-round, so I took a walk to the Gyoza no Ohsho near Waseda Station on the Tozai Line for a visit. I used to associate Gyoza no Ohsho with sitting at the counter and having gyoza and fried rice, but here, there are many table seats with COVID-19 measures in place. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, most of which come in a "just size" small portion. It seems like Gyoza no Ohsho has shifted its target audience from individuals to families. I was surprised to see an increased variety of alcoholic beverages, making it a place where you can enjoy Chinese food with drinks. I had two servings of gyoza, spring rolls, and a small portion of oil-drizzled chicken. The gyoza could have been crispier on the outside, the spring rolls were average, and the oil-drizzled chicken was very oily but went well with beer. The mapo tofu was okay, the vegetable sauce yakisoba had thick noodles and few vegetables, the fried rice was a small portion, and the sweet and sour pork was also a small portion. I had four glasses of frozen lemon sour and had plenty of refills. I ate a lot and had four drinks, all for under 2,500 yen. It's definitely cheap. The flavors are strong and the dishes are oily. I still think it's great to sit at the counter, watch them quickly fry a large amount of fried rice in front of you, and then eat and leave. The idea of "just size" portions is great, but it must be difficult to adjust the flavor with small quantities.

At the end of September, I went to Gyoza no Ohsho in Waseda for lunch to get double stamps. It was a lucky moment because Gyoza Club stamps were also doubled! I didn't know in advance so I didn't prepare for it. If I had known, I would have included Ohsho in my dinner plans. So, I revisited for lunch to get double stamps. By the way, I'm only aiming for Gyoza Club card stamps! The lunch special was 723 yen excluding tax and included soy sauce ramen, pork bowl, and fried horse mackerel. It may seem like a random dish, but it definitely fills you up! The kitchen was in a good mood or working efficiently because the food was served in less than 5 minutes - surprisingly fast! The set meal was satisfying, although the soy sauce ramen didn't come with pork like the regular one. It was more like scattered on top of the white rice. Overall, it was a good value lunch.

I had lunch at Gyoza no Ohsho, just a 2-minute walk from Waseda Station on the Tozai Line. I got a great deal on the set meal which included King Ramen, a serving of gyoza, and a free small rice during lunch time. And all that for just 660 yen before tax! It's so cheap! The service was a bit slow and the gyoza arrived first while I was waiting for the ramen. But once the ramen and rice arrived, the combination of carbs made the meal satisfying. Despite the slight mishap with the timing, I managed to enjoy my meal in the end.

Today's lunch with my dad at Waseda was at Osho. Six years ago, I had my first visit to Osho in Kanda, and this was my second visit in my life. When we arrived at the restaurant, there were customers sitting outside, but we were quickly seated at a table inside, so I realized that the customers outside were for takeout. There were dividers between the tables for splash prevention, but the space between the tables was not very wide, so it was a bit difficult to get to the sofa seats at the back because of the dividers. My dad ordered the limited-time spicy mapo tofu dipping noodles set (1,034 yen), and I ordered the chilled Chinese noodles (748 yen) and 3 gyoza (143 yen). While waiting, I looked at the menu again and realized that the prices displayed were excluding tax. So, although it may seem cheap at first glance, the prices are quite high when you consider the tax. The restaurant was quite busy, so we had to wait a while before our noodle dishes were served first. The chilled Chinese noodles were topped with char siu, cherry tomatoes, shredded egg, cucumber, and imitation crab. The spicy sauce was served in a separate dish. When I tried the noodles with the sauce, the sauce was delicious but the noodles were too thin. Despite the reasonable price, it lacked in satisfaction. The char siu topping was okay, and the imitation crab was thickly sliced, but it was still imitation crab after all. In that sense, the chilled Chinese noodles felt expensive. While eating the chilled Chinese noodles, the gyoza was served, but these gyoza were also small and had a hollow inside. The gyoza only emphasized the burnt taste at the bottom. I thought the same when I visited the Kanda branch, but the gyoza here is not something that makes you go "Wow, delicious!" Overall, I felt that 891 yen was expensive for the taste and portion. So, even though it has been 6 years since my last visit, my impression of Osho's gyoza remains unchanged, unfortunately. I hope they continue to do their best and not be defeated by the coronavirus. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant is always crowded with Waseda University students and local residents. It's a family-friendly place where people eat together at spacious tables. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The fried chicken is tasty and comes in generous portions. The turnover is fast, so you don't have to wait long. The dumplings have a crispy skin and are delicious.

Fried rice and dumplings to go. It was my first time at this Osho restaurant. Even though I had to wait in Obihiro, it was faster here. I quickly returned home and opened up the food. The dumplings came in a two-person serving size, which was fine. They were delicious. The fried rice was also delicious and had a nice texture. My sons also enjoyed the dumplings and fried rice when they came to eat. I finished all the fried rice and dumplings myself. It was so tasty.

When it comes to Osho, you think of gyoza. When you think of gyoza, you think of Osho. That's what I always believed. Today, despite it being a long time since my last visit, I went for the classic combo of beer and gyoza. However, looking through the menu, I realized they have a wide variety of options, from snacks perfect for drinks to individual dishes. So today, I opted for the quail egg gyoza and hormone stir-fry with Chinese fried rice. The quail egg gyoza went perfectly with my beer, and the hormone stir-fry left me speechless... it was delicious. The taste of the sauce was truly the essence of Chinese cuisine. With the option to drink during the day, I'll have to reconsider how I use this place. It was a great experience.

This is Gyoza no Ohsho near Waseda Station on the Tozai Line. For lunch, I had the Ohsho Ramen set with white rice and 2 pieces of fried chicken! The white rice was served in a generous portion (lol). It seems like there are a lot of students as customers here, so the service is a bit strong around here. Once I finish everything, I might get sleepy, but since it was served to me, I'll make sure to eat it all. Recently, I noticed that the magic powder for the fried chicken is now in a bottle! This is reassuring for those who prefer powder. By the way, it's quite challenging to reduce the generous portion of white rice with the Ohsho Ramen, but after trying it, I found that the rice goes well with the gyoza set more than the fried chicken. By the way, I visited a while ago and it was my first time back in a long time. At that time, the air conditioning was broken and it was humid, but now it's fixed and I could challenge myself with something cool and hot! ^ ^

On March 12, 2019 (Tuesday), I visited the Gyoza no Ohsho restaurant located near Babashita in Waseda, which is connected to Wakamatsu-cho in Shinjuku. The road linking these two areas is called Natsume-zaka, named after the famous Japanese author Natsume Soseki, whose house used to be on the opposite side of the restaurant. It is interesting to note that Gyoza no Ohsho originated in Kyoto and has both directly operated stores and franchise stores. The Waseda Natsume-zaka branch that I visited is a franchise store. I have been a regular customer of Gyoza no Ohsho even before starting to use Tabelog, and my go-to orders are always the soy sauce yakisoba and garlic gyoza, which I ordered this time as well. The soy sauce yakisoba (¥550) was served in a large portion, and the garlic gyoza (¥240) was as delicious as ever. The restaurant was bustling with families occupying the table seats near the entrance, while the kitchen area was filled with foreign staff members. The gyoza was freshly cooked, and although it seemed like the garlic flavor was less intense than before, it still had a satisfying garlic kick. The soy sauce yakisoba, with plenty of cabbage and pork, was served in a generous portion with chewy noodles that were cooked to perfection. The unique aroma of the soy sauce and the slightly burnt flavor from cooking in a wok made it incredibly delicious. I have lost count of how many bowls of soy sauce yakisoba I have enjoyed at Gyoza no Ohsho over the years. It seems that the restaurant has started using domestically sourced ingredients, which is a positive change. Since I have only tried the soy sauce yakisoba and gyoza so far, I look forward to trying other dishes on my next visit.

On my way to Waseda Station on the Tozai Line, I spotted this place when looking for somewhere to grab a meal, and decided to visit Wang Shou for the first time in a while. The location is right up the hill on Natsume-zaka, to the right at the intersection just after exiting from exit 2 of Waseda Station on the Tozai Line. It's on the opposite side of the street from places like the Riga Royal Hotel. What I ordered: - Seek Wasa Sour @280 (part of the Sour Festival) - 6 pieces of Gyoza @259 - JSM Tianjin rice @288 - JSM Sweet and Sour Pork @324 It had been a while since I last visited Wang Shou. The tables were lined up along both sides of the walls, and the interior had a clean and pleasant atmosphere. I was seated at an available table and looked through the menu, although I already knew I wanted gyoza. That's when I noticed the "Just Size Menu" (JSM) on the menu, which offered mini-sized versions of various dishes, perfect for someone like me who wanted to try a little bit of everything. I decided to go for the JSM Tianjin rice and Sweet and Sour Pork. While waiting, I ordered a Seek Wasa Sour, which was part of their Sour Festival. It had a lower alcohol content and was a bit too sweet for my liking, but that's to be expected since it's not a bar. As I waited, the gyoza arrived, perfectly cooked and served with Wang Shou's gyoza sauce. The gyoza here was delicious, with a nice crispy texture and no strange flavors. I regretted not ordering a draft beer to go with it (laughs). The Tianjin rice, which I ordered with Kyoto-style sauce, was surprisingly generous in portion for a JSM dish. The tangy flavor of the sauce was just right, and it was a solid dish. The Sweet and Sour Pork, on the other hand, felt a bit lacking in ingredients as a JSM dish. But that's understandable. Overall, the service was great, and I had a pleasant dining experience throughout.

The operation is terrible. There are plenty of empty seats, but they don't let customers sit. When asked if it's okay to sit, they say there are customers waiting. They should just let people through. I'm worried about the poor operation. I won't be coming back.

In the evening on a regular day, I ordered a ramen (a miso-based dish with ground meat) with less than half the usual toppings. Despite not appearing too busy, the noodles were clumped together and not separated. It was disappointing to find a lump of noodles in my dish. This would be a major issue if it was prepared by a staff member, or a sign of inadequate training if done by a part-time worker.
