I visited the restaurant for lunch with my daughter. In my younger days, I used to go out for drinks at night often, but now I am satisfied with the reasonably priced set meal with plenty of gyoza! I ordered the oil-drizzled chicken set meal for myself and the gyoza set meal for my daughter. The current manager at the Yoyogi store is young, but he was friendly and even talked to my daughter, which made the experience enjoyable. My daughter was a bit restless, so we couldn't take any good pictures, but I enjoyed the extra food that she couldn't finish! I love the gyoza at Dandadan because it's delicious even without sauce.

Yoyogi is a unique neighborhood with a lively atmosphere. There is a street food village where you can try out different types of food. I tried a gyoza restaurant for the first time and the staff were friendly and efficient. The overall experience was smooth and problem-free. The area seems to be undergoing redevelopment with many new and trendy shops. It's a bit sad to see some old businesses being replaced. Sometimes it can be a bit lonely to see introductions of hostess bars in the area.

First visit. I had the meat juice grilled dumpling lunch (750 yen including tax, with an extra 50 yen for extra rice). It was served in about 10 minutes. The skin is made with whole wheat flour and the shell is also used, so it is rich in nutrients and has a chewy texture. When you take a bite, it feels like the meat juice is about to flow out from inside. I gently stand it up (the sturdy skin was good) and scoop up the rice, then take another bite of the dumpling. You can also pour the meat juice over the rice. Following the recommendation of the shop, I ate all 6 pieces without adding anything, and it was delicious. This might be a good way to fully enjoy the richness of the meat juice and the condiments. In the end, I added a hot spring egg to the leftover rice. The extra rice portion was just right. The price is also reasonable around here.

The door is made of glass, making it easy to see inside. Since I arrived early, there were not many customers at that time. When ordering, the staff recommended the grilled dumplings, mentioning that they take some time to cook but are worth trying. I ordered grilled dumplings, chicken wing dumplings, boiled dumplings, coriander salad, and beer. First, the beer and salad arrived. The beer was a Premium Malt. The salad had a generous amount of coriander, making it a healthy option when combined with the dressing. The grilled dumplings were piping hot, and as someone with a sensitive tongue, I had to let them cool down a bit before eating. Once they cooled, they were juicy and flavorful. The boiled dumplings were quite large with thick skin. I added vinegar and chili oil to the soup for extra flavor. The chicken wing dumplings were crispy and freshly fried. I let them cool before eating, and the crispy skin contained a flavorful filling. Paired with beer, it was a delicious meal. Thank you for the feast.

Today's lunch was at Dandadan, known for their juicy dumplings. They used to only offer dumpling set meals, but now they have expanded to five different options. I decided to go with the classic juicy pork dumpling set meal (700 yen). The dumplings are delicious on their own, with plenty of juice inside. I personally like to add extra vinegar for the second bite to balance out the rich flavor. If you want to add a hot spring egg to your meal, make sure to order extra rice. The yolk is not completely solid, which is perfect for a Tamago Kake Gohan (egg over rice). Overall, I think the regular pan-fried dumplings are the best. It was delicious.

I recently went to this restaurant that I often see and was interested in. I ordered recommended pan-fried dumplings, boiled dumplings, and horse sashimi. Everything was delicious, but especially the pan-fried dumplings were large and juicy with meat juice. Dumplings and cilantro are the best! I often repeat this place, with Shimokitazawa being my usual spot, but I tried the Yoyogi branch for the first time and the seating arrangement was just right, allowing me to enjoy my meal and drinks leisurely! The dumplings have a chewy skin and a juicy filling! I was so into eating that I forgot to take a picture... The generous portion of cilantro salad has thick and satisfying stems, perfect for cilantro lovers to order one plate each. The steamed chicken salad is also delicious! The salted cod roe with butter, and the leek with liver are personally recommended as well. The crispy surface of the potatoes, combined with the perfect balance of salted cod roe and butter, is delightful. The cod salad is creamy and a truly satisfying dish. Each dish pairs perfectly with the dumplings. I can't wait to try their lunch menu someday!

The menu is small enough to fit on two pages of photos, which I found easy to choose from. I think having too many menu items can make the food less delicious (lol). They seem to have a strong focus on the dumplings. As the name "Meat Juice Dumpling Factory Dandadan Sakaba" suggests, the dumplings are very juicy! Be careful, as the juice can overflow if you don't eat it in one bite! I definitely plan to go back!

As I was walking in Yoyogi looking for a place to drink, I came across a sign for Nikujiru Gyoza Seisakusho. I changed my plans for yakitori and decided to visit Dandan Sakaba for the first time. Even though I was alone, they guided me to a table for four and provided excellent service. Unfortunately, there was no happy hour, but I ordered a Premium Malt. First, I tried the green onion liver dish. It was a dish of low-temperature cooked liver topped with green onions and sprinkled with salt and sesame oil. It was definitely delicious. And then, the main dish, the meat juice gyoza. How much juice is in it? When I took a bite, the meat juice splattered out, just like a xiaolongbao with plenty of juice! I was surprised to see the meaty gyoza when I looked at the cross-section. This is truly a Meat Juice Gyoza Factory! I also ordered the crispy oil-drenched chicken that looked delicious at another table. It was really crispy and tasty. After the beer, I ordered the black Hoppie set. It had a lot of ice and less liquid inside. I was a bit disappointed, but then I ordered a refill and this time they brought a pot and kept pouring until I said stop! What a great service! I witnessed a sign at Yoyogi Station that said "Gyoza and beer are culture" and was drawn in, leading me to Dandadan Sakaba, a meat juice gyoza factory. When I visited, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and clean it was, with comfortable seating. The first impression was 100 points. The steamed chicken salad (photo taken after I couldn't resist taking a bite) was delicious with sesame dressing, the new onion salad was refreshing, the garlic-pickled gizzard had a good texture, and our mapo tofu had a unique taste only found at a gyoza restaurant. Visited for lunch on a holiday. While this area is bustling with bars at night, during the day on a holiday, there were few people around, with only one other customer. The interior of the restaurant was styled like an izakaya and fairly clean. The lunch set consisted of dumplings, rice, onsen tamago (hot spring egg), and pickles, a simple meal. The dumplings were a bit small, but they were very juicy. At first, I tried to eat them like regular dumplings, but the juices kept spilling out, so I ended up adopting a method similar to eating xiaolongbao, where I would take a small bite to suck out the juices before eating. The taste was average.

When you enter the shop, they ask you how many dumplings you would like. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the other appetizers besides dumplings are also good. The dressing for the coriander salad was surprisingly delicious!
