Despite competitors like "Kyotaru" and "Chiyoda Sushi," Furui Chi-an has been steadily increasing its number of stores, especially as Kyotaru has been declining. They offer a variety of products, including visually appealing pressed sushi assortments like the Naniwa Sushi (897 yen) and affordable Chirashi Sushi like the Irodori Chirashi (562 yen). I tried the following dishes: - Grilled Mackerel Pressed Sushi and Takana Roll (735 yen): This set includes grilled mackerel pressed sushi and a takana leaf-wrapped roll. The grilled mackerel pressed sushi features thickly sliced mackerel pressed onto sushi rice. The grilling is strong, but the addition of pickled ginger between the mackerel and rice helps balance out any fishiness. While the grilling may be a bit strong, the combination of mackerel umami and ginger flavor makes for a tasty dish. Using pre-cooked sushi ingredients and pressing them into sushi gives it a taste close to traditional Osaka-style sushi. The takana roll includes egg, takana leaf, kanpyo (gourd strips), and cucumber, all wrapped in a takana leaf instead of seaweed. Overall, it's light and vegetable-heavy, making it a delicious option for adults. With its vinegar rice and vegetable filling, it's a perfect choice for those looking for a light meal, especially during the summer. As you grow older, you may find these flavors more enjoyable than fatty tuna sushi, for example. Furui Chi-an offers takeout sushi catered to adults.

Despite that, it's run by just one person. Well, it's probably because it's a sales-only booth. This time, I bought the "Pressed Sushi Battera" for 407 yen, discounted from 507 yen. Evening is definitely the best time to go. It may not be as cheap as a supermarket, but the quality is completely different. The taste is satisfactory, with a distinct western sushi feel. Sushi isn't just about nigiri!

I went to Sushi Restaurant Koichian at the Atre Omori store. It is located inside Atre Omori in Omori. The food corner here is quite fulfilling. The takeout sushi here is excellent. I often buy from Sushi Restaurant Koichian at the Atre Omori store, and my favorite is the sushi set. They offer discounts in the evening. The recommended dish here is the tuna, using high-quality, rich red tuna. The Tekka Maki is also very delicious.
