Financier (280 yen) ⭐4.5 The outside is crispy, with a unique fluffy and moist texture typical of freshly baked pastries. I like that it has a strong butter and almond flavor. Peach Millefeuille (720 yen) ⭐4.2 The thin layers of pastry are stacked to create a light and crispy texture with a strong nutty aroma. The custard has a balanced sweetness and richness with a hint of vanilla. Tarte aux Herbes (530 yen) ⭐4.0 The inside has a moist and juicy texture, while the outer tart part is crispy. The almond flavor combined with the refreshing acidity of the raspberries creates a delightful taste.

At Isetan basement, I tried the recommended canelé by owner chef Hatakeyama-san from Feuillage. I had it half as is and half reheated, then cooled down before eating. It was delicious with a crispy outer layer and a chewy center, not too sweet. I love reheating and eating it. Perfect with coffee in the early morning. Don't miss out on the galette bretonne too. I had a great time meeting friends at Isetan, it was so much fun.

While waiting for the sunrise in the sky, having a coffee time with feuquiage's delicious Breton galette. It's crispy and buttery without being heavy, with just the right amount of sweetness. I want to try the canelés being sold at Isetan Shinjuku starting today. Also, the Italian exhibition is starting - I want to go see it. Will the first day be super crowded? Genie is cute as always today. The stars in the sky before dawn, the pink sky in Nishi-Shinjuku, and the sky before sunrise.

I bought a cake here as a gift for my family after running errands nearby and heading back home. I only tried the Mont Blanc cake, which was made with rich Spanish chestnuts, flavored with rum, and baked with almonds from Sicily. It was one of the best Mont Blanc cakes I've ever had. My friend enjoyed the Eclair, which had a nice balance of sweetness. The Muscat Tart was also delicious, with high-quality muscat grapes and a tasty tart base. I will definitely be coming back here!

I had always wanted to visit this shop! I stopped by because I had some errands nearby. I went on a Sunday around 4 pm. When I arrived, there were no customers, but a few groups came in while I was paying. I originally wanted to try the canelé, but it seems you can only purchase it online at this time. So, I ended up buying two types of baked goods: 1) Hazelnut Financier (¥360 tax included) - I bought the one displayed in the showcase and had it that same day. It had a soft and moist texture, with a rich hazelnut aroma spreading in my mouth as soon as I took a bite. With hazelnuts scattered throughout, I could enjoy the flavor until the end. 2) Galette Bretonne (¥280 tax included) - This buttery and moist pastry had a crispy texture with just the right amount of butter soaked in. A hint of rum subtly fragrances this adult-like baked good. It looked like a simple pastry at first, but the rum added an interesting touch.

- Peach Millefeuille: 3.0 A millefeuille with peaches piled on top, the pie crust softened by the influence of the peaches. The custard and whipped cream inside don't leave much of an impression, but the peaches are delicious. - Mont Blanc: 3.5 With a hint of rum, the chestnut cream is fragrant, with whipped cream inside and an almond tart crust at the bottom. The bottom crust is quite thick. - Eclair: 3.0 The mascarpone cream inside is infused with coffee, with a coffee-flavored whipped cream on top, and vanilla and white chocolate components. In essence, it tastes like tiramisu. - Madeleine: 3.0 - Florentine: 3.0 - Galette: 3.5 - Chestnut Cake: 3.5

This morning, I had a coffee float ❤️ Feeling a bit sweet for my #dawn coffee time #lovecoffee float @feuquiage #Fukiage Chofu store @isetan_shinjuku. Now you can buy it at Isetan basement, so I went for a second shopping trip. #IsetanExclusive financiers. The fluffy and moist financiers are not too buttery, with a light and easy-to-eat feeling. I like it ❤️ Next month, it seems like you can buy canelés at Isetan too ❤️ I can't wait to try the canelés that Chef Hatakeyama recommends. For those who can't easily go to Chofu, definitely try the Isetan exclusive financiers at Shinjuku Isetan!

Fukiage, a Western confectionery store that opened in Chofu City, Tokyo in 2021! The owner, Chef Hatakeyama, previously worked at Criollo and Seijo's long-established confectionery stores before serving as an executive chef at a high-end patisserie in Jakarta. He then opened Fukiage. The freshly baked financiers and other baked sweets are popular, and this time I purchased a lot and enjoyed them at home! Especially the limited edition financier (Chef's Memories) was so delicious. This financier, with a vanilla scent paying homage to the chef's training experience, was so tasty that I wanted to eat it again!

I heard it was popular so I went to buy a cake. The peach shortcake looks delicious~! I bought it and ate it at home right away. It's a very well-balanced cake. If I had to say, I wish the sponge was a bit more moist. It seems that the baked sweets are popular, but this time I only bought the cake for takeout.

I visited this shop that I had been curious about since I received their products at a department store event. I went on a weekday for lunch and the shop was filled with the scent of freshly baked financiers and madeleines. I tried the freshly baked madeleines, financiers, pound cake with chestnuts, and fruit pound cake. The financiers and chestnut cake had a rich buttery flavor, and the financiers had a lighter texture than usual, making them easy to eat. The pound cakes were moist and fluffy, with each flavor spreading in the mouth. I would love to visit again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I revisited Chofu for the cashless campaign opportunity. ●Savarin ☆3.6 The upper layer is filled with a sweet and sour mix of oranges, custard, and creamy melting cream, with a sponge soaked in liqueur at the bottom. The fruity flavor stands out more than the liqueur, making it a very summery Savarin. ●Peach Mille-feuille ☆3.6 The crispy texture of the pie is amazing. The peaches and cream are beautiful, smooth, and delicious. By the way, mille-feuille is quite difficult to eat, isn't it?

Chofu city's campaign offers 20% d payment and 20% PayPay points at participating stores. There is a parking service at Enoki Parking near the store (there was a poster of Enoki Parking partnership at the storefront). I visited the store because it was a nearby cake shop that I wanted to try. I made a takeaway purchase and parked my car at a nearby parking lot with services. I arrived on Sunday around 2:38 PM, with one customer ahead of me and around 5 groups of customers behind me when I left. The store is conveniently located near a supermarket I frequent, and they had a decent selection of cakes available.

This is a shop I really, really wanted to visit. I love the canelé with a strong rum flavor. I bought one and bit into it right away (laughs). I ended up buying 2 more! I really wanted to try the fruit confit from this shop, but they didn't have it due to the season. If I have the chance, I would love to try it next time. When I mentioned that I came from Nagoya, the staff came out to talk to me and we had a nice chat. It's a bit far, but I definitely want to visit this shop again. Hydrangea set 800 yen, Sablé galette 200 yen, Freshly baked canelé 380 yen, Freshly baked financiers 280 yen, Freshly baked madeleines Earl Grey 320 yen.

I visited the event at Ginza Mitsukoshi because I heard it was not too crowded. I was expecting a shorter line, but there were almost 15 people waiting. I was thinking of coming in the afternoon to avoid carrying heavy bags, but it was a good decision to come early!

It's not far from Chofu Station, but it suddenly appears between the apartments. I went there by bicycle, and there is a bicycle parking lot across the street. It might be difficult to go by car. I was curious about it for a while, and it was featured in METROMIN.'s 2021 Cannele section, so I went there this week because I had been wanting to eat Cannele. They also had cakes, but this time I aimed for baked goods. The prices range from 280 yen to 580 yen, with the main price being 380 yen. They are beautifully stacked. I baked it in a toaster oven for 2 minutes, let it cool a bit, and then ate it. It was a crispy outside and a soft inside, a happy Cannele.

It has been a year and a half since it opened, but I hadn't been back since my initial visit. When I went on Mother's Day, there was already a line of nearly 20 people, showing how popular it is. They have a variety of baked goods like fresh cakes, canelés, and financiers that are made on the day as well as items that last longer. The staff are friendly, and there are no other well-known pastry shops in the Chofu area besides Senkawa, so if they become more well-known, they could become even more popular. I would like to try their cakes next time I have the chance.

Isetan Shinjuku's event space is filled with a sweet and happy aroma like a cake shop. Don't disappear~ It's like an aroma... I can't find anything like this anywhere else. - Madeline Matcha and Yuzu: This was the one I wanted to try the most. The combination of aroma, flavor, and matcha and yuzu is amazing. I wonder who came up with such a wonderful combination. I hope they do this every year. - Assorti Maison - Financier: Full of honey flavor! I get drunk on the drifting aroma. - Pistachio Financier: The lovely pistachio aroma is strong. - Madeline: The lemon is just right, with no unpleasant acidity. - Galette Bretonne: Crispy! It's thinly baked and elegant. - Sable Citron Earl Grey: Personally, I love it. The smooth surface and refreshing acidity are delicious. Let's brew some tea. - Pistachio Sable: The fragrant pistachio is so strong that even though I just brewed tea, I feel like having coffee. - Vanille: I've eaten a variety of things, but I could eat this again. It only tastes like happiness. "7 days buried in sweets" I had a wonderful shopping experience. I will also visit the Patisserie Fukiage main store! Thank you for the delicious food.

Reservation: Not required Waiting time: None Number of visitors: 1 person Duration of stay: 5 minutes Price: 1000 yen per person I visited the event without a reservation and there was no waiting time. I purchased Financier Pistachio and Canele Rum Vanilla, as there was still a good amount of stock left even in the evening.

Today, it had been a while since I last visited, and there were more items left than usual, so I was a bit indecisive. In the end, I bought the following items: "Yoake no Canne" for 380 yen, "Apple Pie" for 480 yen, "Mini Yon" for 730 yen, and "Henri" for 630 yen. The "Yoake no Canne" was a bit on the pricier side for a canne, but the texture and thickness of the crust were ideal and lovely. The inside dough had a subtle flavor without too much rum, providing a quiet taste. I think it's worth trying as the quality is good. However, I know I can get a canne of similar quality for less than 300 yen, so I'm not sure about repurchasing. The "Mini Yon" was a fairy-tale-like gâteau with pistachio mousse and strawberry jam wrapped in a pink-colored mousse. The flavors were soft and mild, with a creamy pistachio mousse and a subtle strawberry jam taste. The "Henri" was an almond and hazelnut praline gâteau with coffee confiserie and a coffee-flavored chocolate mousse. Surprisingly, Henri was the most delicious among the items I tried this time. The praline was tasty, but I think the contrast in flavors was missing with just the chocolate mousse. The coffee flavor was the highlight. Overall, the sweetness was not overwhelming, but I found myself naturally thinking, "Oh, this is delicious" while eating.

At the end of the year and the beginning of the new year, you can see a lot of Galette des Rois. I want to eat it too! Not just a slice, I want a whole one! Sometimes you can find slices for sale, but they don't come with the feve (charm) so you can't become the king. Just when I was thinking about that, I found out that the famous shop Fukiage from Chofu will be popping up at Isetan Shinjuku with an 11cm Galette des Rois and new baked goods. I definitely want to buy this! The Galette des Rois comes in two flavors, regular and pistachio. I also want to try the Daybreak Canneles, so I must go there! I was able to buy the Galette des Rois in pistachio flavor for 1,981 yen. They were sold out of the regular flavor, so I was lucky! When I opened it at home, the feve was separate. Even in this small Galette des Rois, I'm happy they included the feve! A cute little angel came out. I realized something was missing, and then I remembered! I made a crown out of origami. This is a must-have! I cut it and reheated it. The feuillage and pistachio aroma were amazing. Pistachio is also good, definitely. Since it's 11cm, it didn't have the elegance of a larger Galette des Rois, but I was satisfied. I also bought other items, including the new Canneles and Madeleines. There was a chocolate version of the Canneles, and it was really good! The rum flavor is stronger in the regular one, but the chocolate version has a more grown-up taste. I think the reason why I find their Canneles to be better than others is because of the honey they use. I don't know for sure, but I like the Daybreak Canneles. (Things I'm not particularly fond of: Canneles, scones, bagels... haha) I also tried the matcha and sesame Financiers. These were a hit! They went beyond the usual flavors of sesame and matcha, with the toasty flavor of sesame, the fusion with butter, and the bitterness of matcha. I also liked the Earl Grey Citron flavor. The plain Financier is delicious, so it's all about how they add flavor, and they did a great job with these. On the other hand, the raspberry pistachio flavor was disappointing. The raspberry was overpowering. It would have been better with just pistachio. The Lemon Petit Gateau Madeline was also a letdown. I wanted more lemon presence with lemon peel added. It wasn't to my liking. Chef Hayama is becoming more and more famous and appearing in the media frequently. Chofu is a bit far for me, but the pop-up at the department store makes it easy to purchase.

I was exhibiting at a event in the basement of Isetan. Financier - Plenty of butter, nice aroma spreading throughout the mouth. Moist! Financier is good. It melts in your mouth. It's not crispy. The rectangular type of financier has a flavor like Earl Grey and lemon tea, which is delicious. The texture is still firmer than the buttery one. Personally, if it's going to be soft, I prefer the buttery melt-in-your-mouth flavor. Cannele - Crispy on the outside! Soft on the inside! It's similar to the texture of Echire's raw cannele. Galette - The inside is pistachio. It's not overwhelmingly pistachio, so it feels light, but the outer dough is very fine-grained, with plenty of butter! Madeline - The lemon flavor is surprisingly weak, and the dough is fine-textured, but compared to other financiers, it feels a bit light.
