I quickly touch the screen and purchase a meal ticket. The bento box placed on the tray that is promptly served. The "Nakau" logo upside down is just a fun touch. Upon opening the lid, you'll find a parent and child bowl with bone-in chicken thigh meat. I'll enjoy the visual appeal of the dish from the morning. I generously sprinkle the sansho pepper on the table. I feel like the chicken thigh meat could use a bit more kick, so I sprinkle more sansho pepper. Looking back, I think adding shichimi spice would have been a good idea. It's a challenge for another day. That's all for today.

In the morning, I took the Chiyoda Line heading towards Meiji-jingumae Station, but I accidentally fell asleep and ended up at Yoyogi-uehara Station. I decided to get off here and have breakfast. The affordable breakfast set menu caught my eye, but I was also intrigued by the limited menu. These types of dishes are served quickly, which is convenient when you're in a hurry. As expected, it arrived promptly. The bonito seemed to be marinated in soy sauce, so I added a couple of splashes of soy sauce from the table. It was quite tasty. A slightly luxurious breakfast for me. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant for breakfast before 6:30 am on a weekday. There were 3 customers before me and 3 customers after me. There were 2 staff members, both men. When you exit the station gate, go straight down the stairs and you will find the restaurant at the end of the arcade. I was relieved that I didn't get wet. Oh, this must be the raw parent and child bowl.

I checked out the parent and child bowl at the cheaper Nakau. It was quite delicious. I got the set with egg, fried chicken, and miso soup. Lowering the price in these times is impactful and good. They are a friend of the common people. It would be even better if the miso soup was a little warmer.

Clam and Butter Udon for 590 yen at Nakau (Yoyogiuehara). The udon broth had a miso-like color, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the presentation was not great, adding to the disappointment. However, when I tried it, it turned out to be garlic miso flavor. The broth with butter and clams had an incredibly delicious taste. There were about 12 clams with shells, which was enough. I didn't count them all the way to the end. The udon had a slippery texture that I liked. It takes courage to order udon over 500 yen at Nakau, but this one was worth it.

"Nakau Yoyogiuehara branch" is located on the first floor of the commercial building "Acord Yoyogiuehara" directly connected to Odakyu Electric Railway Yoyogiuehara Station. It is convenient to access as you can enter directly from the passage after exiting the ticket gate of Yoyogiuehara Station. The passage is equipped with LED lighting to reduce power consumption and be environmentally friendly. Nakau is well-known for its delicious rice bowl dishes, and especially their "Katsudon" is popular. Recently, I was surprised by the delicious cold udon that came with a set meal, so this time I decided to try their "Zaru Udon". I ordered the "Zaru Udon (Regular) [400 yen]". Nakau's udon is firm and delicious, with a satisfying texture. The dipping sauce is flavorful and delicious as well. In conclusion, Nakau's "Zaru Udon" exceeded my expectations and was very delicious.

I visited Nakau for the first time and had their soba with tempura. It was delicious! They accept electronic money and the cost performance is great. I love it! Oh, the complimentary cold tea they serve is also delicious. So happy! ♡

On the morning of October 29, 2019 (Tuesday), before heading to my visitation job, I had breakfast at Nakau. I ordered the morning mixed rice with natto breakfast set. The set included rice, miso soup, natto, egg, bonito flakes, and okra. There are various ways to eat it, but I like to mix everything together with the rice. The sticky texture of natto and okra goes well with the egg. The aroma of bonito flakes is also nice, making it easy to eat even in the morning. Thank you for the meal.

Visited a limited-time offer restaurant on April 12, 2019, around 7:30 pm and ordered the charcoal-grilled oyakodon and salad miso soup set. The total cost was 770 yen! The oyakodon had a luxurious touch with the charcoal-grilled chicken and egg. The meat had a nice charcoal aroma and was tender. The miso soup had seasonal bamboo shoots in it, which was a unique addition. Overall, it was a pleasant meal. Thank you very much.

Visited Nakau in the Yoyogi Uehara Station building at 7:10 pm on January 7, 2019 for dinner. This time, I ordered the beef bowl dinner set (590 yen) from the night limited menu. I chose sesame dressing for the salad at the ticket machine. The set meal includes beef bowl, rice, miso soup, salad, dressing, and pickles. The beef bowl is the upper part of a typical Japanese beef bowl, with a sweet sukiyaki-style seasoning. The main ingredients are meat, with a small amount of white konjac and onions. It's great to be able to enjoy a well-balanced meal at a reasonable price with the night set meal. Thank you for the meal. Currently, they are distributing coupons where you can get an extra egg or fried chicken piece.

On November 9, 2018 (Friday) at 20:20, after doing some light weight training at the gym, I visited this place inside the Yoyogi Uehara Station building. I bought a ticket for the seasonal limited edition 3 kinds of mushroom oyakodon (mini, 450 yen) and a salad at the ticket machine, then sat at the counter. The combination of Nakau's signature oyakodon with mushrooms added a flavorful touch of autumn. It really goes well together. They also provided pepper, which I sprinkled a little bit for an extra accent. The salad came with sesame dressing. By the way, they also have shiso leaves available. Currently, they have limited edition oyster dishes on the menu, which I'm curious about as well. Thank you for the meal.

Salted dashi oyakodon for 550 yen. This is the Kansai udon version of oyakodon. The combination of long green onions and sesame toppings complements the egg and chicken well!

I was busy helping with the move, so having warm soba noodles was great. It might not be traditional soba, but Nakau is delicious, convenient, and has become a favorite of mine.
