On August 23rd, the popular spicy miso ramen restaurant "Onikinbou" opened a curry restaurant in Kanda. The location is a 3-minute walk from Kanda Station on the JR Yamanote Line, Chuo Line, Keihin-Tohoku Line, and Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. The opening hours are Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 16:00 and 18:00 to 21:00, Saturdays from 11:00 to 16:00, and closed on Sundays. I visited around 6:15 pm and found a line at both the curry restaurant and the neighboring Onikinbou ramen shop. Since the curry restaurant was new, there was a shorter line. You purchase a meal ticket from the ticket machine outside and then wait in line. They accept cashless payments like credit cards, Suica, and D Pay. The menu includes Curry with Spicy Miso (980 yen tax included), Onikinbou Spicy Miso Curry (1,480 yen tax included), and Meat Meat Spicy Miso Curry (1,830 yen tax included) with various toppings. I chose the small size Spicy Miso Curry (980 yen tax included) as it was my third meal of the day. You can choose the level of spiciness and numbness from none, a little, normal, extra, and super extra. I chose normal spiciness and a little numbness. After a 10-minute wait, I was seated at the counter with about 8 seats. The curry was served after a 5-minute wait. The Spicy Miso Curry looked delicious with a bit of spiciness. It was topped with baby corn and cherry tomatoes. The taste was delicious, a bit spicy for me even at normal level, but the numbness was just right. The rice portion was small, but it was enough for me. Overall, it was a tasty and refined curry experience, and I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

Karashibi Curry Onikinbo [The key is in choosing Karashibi (spicy and numbing) levels] 2023 Curry Shop 153rd Meal 194th, September 4, 2023, 3625th Curry Meal since 2017, #StampRally #44/142 Shops - Karashibi Curry Noodles 850 yen - Karashibi (spicy) normal, Shibi (numbing) less, - Additional options: Onsen Tamago (soft-boiled egg) 100 yen, Keema Curry double portion 200 yen, total 1,150 yen Due to the rainy weather, I chose a nearby place today and visited Karashibi Curry Onikinbo. I had been here once before and realized that this curry is completed by choosing the spiciness and numbing levels to your liking. So this time, I went for "Karashibi normal & Shibi less" noodles, which turned out to be the right choice. It matched my preferred level of spiciness and numbing sensation. The curry had a good depth of flavor with well-incorporated spices. Eating this in noodle form was quite enjoyable. Plus, since the neighboring shop is a ramen restaurant, they know how to handle noodles well. As a protein enthusiast, I added a soft-boiled egg and a double portion of Keema curry, although I wish they had given a bit more Keema. Overall, I had a great time. The end. #GoggleMask #AcharIKEDA #KarashibiCurryOnikinbo #Curry #CurryNoodles #NoodleCurry #KandaCurryStreetFoodTourStampRally

I visited Kanda Curry Grand Prix. I selected "noodles or rice" on the touch panel at the entrance, purchased "Karabi Curry Ramen," and chose the level of "spiciness and numbness." I selected a little bit of "both spiciness and numbness." The interior of the store was cute, with only counter seats and chairs that looked like cute chestnuts. I also had "extra noodles" and "apricot lassi" with the curry that made me feel numb. Thank you for the delicious meal, and thank you very much.

The spicy curry ramen with pickles costs 850 yen plus 100 yen. Has the price changed from before, is the curry cheaper now? The curry is spicy and watery, with an authentic taste. It would have been better as rice instead of ramen. Rice seems to go better with this curry. Good value for money.

I was pleasantly shocked when I tried ramen here before, so I was intrigued to visit their curry restaurant as well. Eating out for curry is quite rare for me, but I couldn't resist. I added a soft-boiled egg topping, and the curry looked exciting and delicious. It truly has the unique Karamushi taste, and it was amazing! The meat portion was a bit small, but they kindly offered to add an extra one. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

■ Pre-visit Information Rating: ★3.52 Located two doors down from Karashibi Miso Ramen Onikinpou, this is the curry version of Onikinpou. Visited around 4:30 PM on a weekday. Only one customer was there. As expected, it was empty at this time. ■ Ambiance/Service: A small shop with only a counter. Simple interior. One male staff member. Open throughout the day. Outside, there is a touch panel electronic money-only ticket machine. Cashless is one step ahead of the times. However, if you prefer cash, you can still pay the staff. Ordered: Onikinpou Karashibi Curry Rice - ¥1,100. You can choose the level of spiciness and numbness. Since it was my first time, I ordered both as "normal." You can also choose to have extra portions of keema (+¥250), soup (+¥200), and rice (L/M free, LL +¥100), allowing customization for each part. It was a dilemma whether to go for L rice if the curry portion was small... After much consideration, I ended up ordering the default portion. ■ Taste/Cost Performance: Rice served in a bowl shape in the center of a large plate. On top, there is keema with incorporated spices and baby corn. Alongside the rice, there is onion achar, whole cherry tomatoes, green onions, and simmered pork. The appearance is full of originality. The curry is a smooth, slightly viscous type. The taste is like a blend of Japanese curry and spiced curry. Mixing in the keema adds a layer of spiced flavor, and the slightly acidic cherry tomatoes go well with the curry. The taste is fresh and delicious even as a standalone dish. The simmered pork, being from a ramen shop, has high-quality taste that surprisingly goes well with the curry. I ordered the spiciness and numbness as "normal," so overall, it wasn't too spicy. The satisfaction level was about 60% full. I should have ordered the rice in a larger portion... ■ Overall: A curry full of originality with added creativity to spiced curry. They also offer noodles, providing a unique differentiation factor. Since they operate throughout the day, I would like to revisit when I have the chance.

I visited the restaurant for lunch. I wanted to eat ramen, but the line was too long, so I opted for the available curry instead. I ordered with a spice level of 4. Since it was curry, it was served quickly, which was good. I like the numbing and spiciness, so that was also good. The curry itself was a bit dry but had a strong flavor.

Near Kanda Station, there is a popular ramen shop called Oni Kanabo, which also has a curry specialty store called Karashibi Curry Oni Kanabo. Oni Kanabo is always crowded, but we were able to get in easily here. However! However! This curry is delicious! The thin noodles paired with the lightly thick curry soup are a perfect match and very tasty. The curry is authentically spicy, and as you eat, you start sweating. There are various levels of spiciness to choose from, and you can adjust the levels of heat and numbness (karashibi) separately. I opted for moderate levels of both, but the spiciness really stands out and is delicious. The sensation of your lips tingling becomes addictive.

The convenience of a restaurant open all day is truly appreciated. After finishing the lunch service at my own restaurant, I checked the stamp rally I had been participating in and dashed to a restaurant that was open all day, "Karashibi Curry Onikinbo". The location of the restaurant can be confirmed on Tabelog. The restaurant had changed from serving Karashibi Tsukemen to specializing in curry a year ago. I finally visited after a year. The atmosphere was now brighter and more casual than before. I ordered using the touch panel on the ticket machine, and paid with a cashless transaction. I panicked when my AMEX card was not accepted, but managed to pay with my PASMO card. I ordered the "Onikinbo Karashibi Curry Noodle" for 1,150 yen. The menu also included "Karashibi Curry" with rice, "Karashibi Keema Curry" with minced meat, and the "Onikinbo Karashibi Curry" which had both keema and pork belly. I chose extra spiciness for both the chili and Sichuan pepper. The dish consisted of noodles topped with keema and young corn. The curry sauce was spicy and numbing, with a good amount of heat. The portion size was a bit smaller than expected. Overall, the curry was flavorful but some may find it a bit polarizing. I felt that it could use a bit more richness and depth of flavor. I might revisit to try it with rice next time.

Kanda Curry Stamp Rally 2nd store. I visited this store before without the stamp rally. This time, I ordered the spicy curry like last time, but asked for less spiciness and numbness. This time, it was just delicious! Last time, I thought it was a bit of a failure to have it normally, so I think I was able to use that reflection well this time. Yeah, it's a bit cheaper compared to other rice restaurants around here, so it might be good.

This is a new concept store of the extremely popular Karashibi Miso Ramen Onikinbou, located about a 1-minute walk from JR Kanda Station East Exit. I visited around 2 pm on a weekday. While the ramen was still crowded as usual, there were no customers for the curry. It seemed like the peak had just passed. I was interested in the Curry Noodle, so I decided to try it. The Karashibi Curry Noodle was ordered with normal spiciness and numbness, considering the scorching heat of over 36 degrees. Spicy food is delicious in hot weather, but I didn't want to end up sweating too much afterwards. The dish was served with curry on a large plate, topped with noodles without soup and various ingredients. It was a bit different from what I had imagined. It's hard to describe, but it felt like curry with noodle-less soup. The thin seasoned noodles were complemented by toppings such as tender pork belly, green onions, cherry tomatoes, and baby corn, all mixed well with the curry. It's a fusion of Chinese, curry, and ethnic flavors. The spiciness and numbness were just right. This might be able to withstand the summer heat. Thank you for the meal.

Kanda Station is about a 3-minute walk away, near the post office, you will find our restaurant. Right next to it is Karashibi Miso Ramen Onikinbou Kanda Honten, which always has a long line, so it's easy to spot. Our restaurant is a new concept by Onikinbou, and there wasn't much of a line, so we were able to walk in on a Saturday afternoon without waiting. The ramen features the distinctive young corn and braised pork that Onikinbou is known for. The braised pork was absolutely delicious. It was the same as Onikinbou's, and I regret not adding extra meat. We ordered both the spicy and the extra spicy versions, but if you're familiar with Onikinbou's ramen, it's not as intense. The couple next to us kept saying how spicy it was and swapping bowls, so it seems like the spiciness depends on your ramen standards. The curry and keema were both delicious. However, because our expectations were so high due to the Onikinbou brand, it didn't quite exceed them. If it's nearby, I would come here occasionally. Unlike the main store, you can eat here without much of a wait, so it's a good option for those short on time.======MENU=======◯ Onikinbou Karashibi Curry Rice + Potato Salad—————————o0o—————————・ Address: 2-10-10 Kajicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo・ Reservation: Not available・ Business hours: Monday-Friday 11:00-21:00, Saturday 11:00-16:00・ Closed on Sundays・ Payment methods: Various credit cards / electronic money / QR code payment・ Cost: 1,250 yen⭐️ Tabelog rating: 3.41———————o0o———————Instagram ID: tam_gourmet_

I had been curious about "Karashibi Curry Onikinbo" for a while. Next to it is Onikinbo, a miso ramen shop. I visited a bit late, but the ramen shop still had a line. Luckily, I could easily enter the curry shop. By the way, "Onikinbo" is read as "Kikanbou". There is a ticket vending machine outside the shop. The curry menu has 3 options: - Karashibi Curry Rice 800 yen - Karashibi Keema Curry Rice 800 yen - Onikinbo Karashibi Curry Rice 1,100 yen I purchased a ticket for "Onikinbo Karashibi Curry Rice 1,100 yen" and entered the store. You can choose the level of "Karashi" (spiciness) and "Shibi" (numbness). I chose "normal" for both. The interior of the store is compact with only a counter. The staff are all foreigners. It's unclear which country they are from. One of them seems to be Southeast Asian or Polynesian. All three communicate in a common language other than English. The plate is big! In the center is rice, surrounded by plenty of "Karashibi Curry". It's a watery curry. On top of the rice is "Keema Curry" and crushed nuts. First, I tried the watery Karashibi Curry. It's delicious with a moderate spiciness. It goes down smoothly. Then, I tried the Keema Curry. It seems to have a stronger numbness. It feels pleasantly numb on the tongue and tastes great. In the end, the watery curry and Keema Curry got mixed up, and I finished it in no time. The Onikinbo Karashibi Curry was delicious. I'm satisfied as I got to enjoy both flavors!

It is located about a 5-minute walk from Kanda Station. The ticket machine is located outside the shop and accepts various payment methods. You can choose between rice and noodles, but I chose rice. The interior of the shop has only a counter, and water is self-service. I had a little trouble finding a place to put my umbrella. I ordered the spicy extra spicy with cheese topping. The taste was good with a strong numbing sensation and a complex spicy flavor. Personally, I think the plate could be a bit smaller for easier eating. Why do spice curry restaurants tend to have such large plates?

-Konjiki Hot Karashi Curry Rice ¥1,100 tax included *Rice 200g *Extra spiciness available Just a few minutes' walk from JR Yamanote Line Kanda Station. This restaurant feels like what would happen if a popular ramen shop decided to open a curry restaurant next door. While the ramen shop always has a long line, this curry restaurant next to it surprisingly had no customers. I wonder why? The Konjiki ramen is delicious, I've had it before and I like it, but curry is good too, right? In fact, the curry here was delicious. I hope this place gets more customers too...just a thought as I write this post. There's a ticket machine outside the restaurant for easy cashless payment. Besides rice, they also have "noodles" on the menu, which caught my interest. But today, I was in the mood for rice. I ordered the Konjiki Hot Karashi Curry Rice. Just like the Konjiki ramen, you can choose the level of spiciness and numbness, so I decided to go one level up for both. As soon as I entered the restaurant, the staff was already preparing my order, so I didn't have to wait long to start eating. The plate was warm to keep the food hot, with a design that prevents it from getting cold quickly. In the middle of the curry sauce pool, there was a white rice island topped with a mound of minced meat, with young corn for visual appeal. Finely chopped green onions, and slightly cooked onions were also added. The highlight was the pork belly. This would probably be served with the ramen as well. It's incredibly delicious on its own. Just the pork belly and rice would be satisfying enough. The curry sauce in the pool was a bit chunky, which was unique. It had a slightly sweet and spicy taste, with a hint of Sichuan pepper aroma unique to this restaurant. I mixed the minced meat with the rice, generously sprinkled with mustard seeds and Sichuan pepper. The rich flavors were irresistible. The sweet, round grains of white rice paired perfectly with the bold flavors, creating a delightful chaos of Japanese, Sichuan, and Indian curry influences. Despite the spiciness and numbness, I finished the dish in just a few minutes. It was delicious. To those waiting in line at the ramen shop, give the curry a try. You won't be disappointed. Thank you for the meal.

Located in Kanda, this shop is known for its Karashibi ramen and offers a curry version. I visited the shop around 7:20 pm on a weekday. I purchased a meal ticket from the ticket machine outside before entering. I tried the Karashibi curry rice with minced meat topping, with increased spiciness and numbness. The curry was quite watery, similar to soup curry. The minced meat had a good balance and richness. The braised pork was very tender and delicious. The added spiciness and numbness were just right. By the end of the meal, I could feel a tingling sensation. It was a great meal!

Today, I had dinner in Kanda! I came to eat ramen at Onikinbo, but there were about 30 people waiting in line. Then, I looked next to me and saw a curry restaurant in the same chain! And it was empty!! So, I quickly went in! I ordered the spicy and numbing curry with extra spice. I used the ticket machine to order, but it was really spicy and numbing! Thank you for the meal!

On a holiday, I went to Oni no Kanabou for their spicy curry rice without having to wait in line. I ordered the regular spiciness with extra heat and a soft-boiled egg on top. I also added onion achar and fried garlic on the side. The place was always crowded with a long line for their tantan noodles, but I decided to try their curry instead. The curry had a simple and mild flavor, with a good amount of richness. The meat, similar to chashu, was tender and well-seasoned, complementing the curry rice perfectly. The additional onion achar and fried garlic were also delicious. Overall, the curry was well-balanced with spices and easy to eat. It wasn't mind-blowingly delicious, but it was satisfying and enjoyable, especially without having to wait in line.

Karashibi Curry Onikinbo Karashibi Curry 980 yen. You can choose the level of spiciness and numbness. If you choose extra spicy, it is really hot. I recommend the normal level. The soup is spicy with spices like mustard seeds used whole, and the keema has a gentle flavor. The ingredients include tomatoes, baby corn, and achar. The spiciness lingers after eating, which may be irresistible for those who love spicy food. I had a reason to stay in Kanda, so I bookmarked several curry shops in advance. As someone who is directionally challenged, I was able to easily find this place from the hotel without getting lost! It's a very easy-to-find location along the main street, so I arrived smoothly. It was lunchtime, so the ramen shop had a long line, but there were only 2 customers ahead of me at the curry shop, so I was able to get in quickly. It was my first visit, so I ordered based on everyone's reviews. I got the Karashi Bi Curry with normal rice, Karashi normal, Shibi normal, and added coriander. It came to exactly ¥1,000! Huh? Has the price gone down? It was served in just 10 minutes. Huh? Where's the Keema Curry? I only see braised pork. Did the menu change? I had some doubts, but once I started eating, it was so delicious that I couldn't stop spooning it into my mouth! The spices were so pleasant and stimulating to the throat. I finished it in no time as if I were drinking it! The spiciness was satisfying for me, even though I love very spicy food, with Karashi Bi normal, but next time I'll try increasing the spiciness. But what on earth did I eat?

The menu seems to have changed recently. An 800 yen curry has been added, which is different from the menu shown in the reviews on Tabelog. It's just a soup curry without any keema, and the taste is not bad, but the portion is not satisfying. The toppings are too few and it feels lonely. If this was on the menu at an izakaya, it would be nice, but it's not something worth setting up a restaurant for.
