I have seen the items being introduced before, but it was my first time visiting the store. I was surprised to see that a single Kit Kat costs around 400 yen, which is more expensive than I expected. I bought some for myself and each one had a unique and delicious flavor. However, if you are planning to give them as a gift, they might seem more affordable to some people (as I initially thought), so it may be a waste if the recipient doesn't appreciate their value.

Actually, I went to Shinjuku Takashimaya to try the trendy Ruby Chocolate Kit Kat. It costs 432 yen (tax included) per bar, which is quite expensive. Now, as for the taste... The aroma is fruity with a hint of berries, and there is a refreshing acidity to it. The color is a beautiful deep pink. It's a rare chocolate, hence the price. Other Kit Kat flavors range from 200 to 300 yen, so this one is definitely on the higher end. Well, the price is subjective, but for chocolate lovers, it might be worth a try.

In terms of taste, I felt that it was at the same level as a regular KitKat or even below. I do not recommend it to those who are expecting a different flavor from a regular KitKat.

On a Sunday in Shinjuku, I was wandering around Takashimaya department store when I stumbled upon a KitKat specialty store! They had so many different varieties of KitKats these days. And then, I found something quite unique - Wasabi KitKats (12 pieces for ¥800)! Apparently, it's a limited edition item only available in Shizuoka, hence they only sold it in a pack of 12. I only wanted one, but I had to buy the whole pack. I took it home, tried one, and then brought the rest to work the next day to give to my boss (who ended up giving them out to everyone). The consensus was that they could have done without it (laughs). I also tried the Sublime Bitter KitKat for ¥300, which had a rich and bitter taste, truly for adults. The Sublime Ruby KitKat for ¥300 was delicious with a berry-like acidity, and it looked cute in pink, definitely a hit with the ladies. And the Sublime Raw KitKat for ¥300 had a soft and gentle flavor, different from the bitter one. I recommend the Ruby flavor. As for the Wasabi KitKat... well, it was an experience! Thanks for the meal!

My family bought these KitKats for me when they went to Shinjuku. There is a shop at Daimaru in Tokyo Station that looks really high-end, so I've always wanted to visit. - Sublime Matcha (324 yen) - Sublime Bitter (324 yen) - Sublime Milk (324 yen) - Oh, I was surprised that each one is this price. The Milk one is rich and delicious. The Bitter one has a strong adult taste with a lot of bitterness. The Matcha one has a strong matcha flavor, not like regular matcha chocolate. - Connoisseur Pistachio & Grapefruit (432 yen) - There are four small bags inside. It's a beautiful green color. I've never had pistachio before, so I could only taste the regular chocolate flavor. I could taste the grapefruit though. They are all delicious, but for me, they were a bit too high-end and felt a bit out of place.

Morezon Bitter 540 yen (including tax)
Built on a KitKat base, with crushed cranberries and almonds scattered on top. The chocolate has a rare bitter taste not often found in commercial products, leaving a stronger impression in the mouth than the acidity of the cranberries or the fragrance of the almonds.
Sublime Bitter 324 yen (including tax)
The chocolate, though sharing the same form as a commercial KitKat, is a deep brown color close to black and quite bitter, lacking the impression of a sweet snack for children. The sweet milk chocolate sandwiched in the wafer somewhat mitigates the bitterness.
Sublime Bitter and Raspberry 324 yen (including tax)
The chocolate, slightly pinkish compared to the bitter one, has a hint of raspberry sweetness and acidity within the bitterness. Sweet raspberry chocolate is also incorporated between the wafer layers, creating a balanced taste.
Located in the basement of Shinjuku Takashimaya adjacent to the Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal, this store specializes in KitKats. While the idea of paying 300 or 500 yen for a single KitKat may sound like a joke to those unfamiliar with sweets, it can be considered acceptable for souvenirs or special occasions. Accompanying my wife who wanted to buy some for souvenirs and home consumption, I must admit that it was indeed the most delicious and bitter chocolate I have ever tasted. However, being completely ignorant about the subject, the endorsement by Yasumasa Takagi means nothing to me.

I couldn't resist trying the high-end series of the classic snack, KitKat. Despite thinking that I had enough with snacks like Happy Turn and Jagabee, I ended up buying it. This KitKat is a limited edition Shiikwasa flavor, supervised by the pastry chef Takagi. Lately, there seem to be many collaborations with chefs like this. The package contains four small pieces of KitKat. I couldn't really tell the difference in luxury between this one and the regular KitKat, except for the Shiikwasa citrus flavor. KitKat often releases various limited edition flavors, so I think that's enough for me. However, since KitKat is a well-known snack worldwide, the packaging may make it a good gift for foreign friends.

KitKat Chocolatory is a high-end KitKat shop located in the Shinjuku Takashimaya department store. While the idea of buying luxurious KitKats is exciting, the excitement fades when it comes time to eat them. The variety of KitKats available at this shop is not typically seen in convenience stores, which can generate interest. However, after trying them, the difference in taste due to the special chocolate used is not very noticeable. Overall, it is not that they taste bad, but they are not worth the high price. They may be good as souvenirs, though.

KitKat, the classic chocolate snack for households, has been transformed into a premium high-end brand by Le Patissier Takagi. Chef Yasumasa Takagi, who has been involved in KitKat product development since 2003, supervised the creation of this new brand. The name "Chocolatory" is a combination of "Chocolatier" and "Chocolate Factory", creating a unique word. This Shinjuku Takashimaya store opened in winter 2015, located between the deli section and the sweets section. It is quite a grand shop, with a larger space than any other sweets shop in Takashimaya. Located near the escalator, the wide aisle ensures that even if there is a crowd, it will not be too crowded. A red chandelier, symbolizing KitKat, hangs from the ceiling, creating a luxurious atmosphere similar to a hotel room. When I visited, it was shortly after opening and there was a moderate wait, but now it is much calmer and there are no sell-outs even in the evening. Here is what I tried: - Sublime Bitter: Made with 66% cacao couverture, this bitter KitKat has a slight acidity from the cacao. - Strawberry Maple: White chocolate with strawberry grits, offering a refreshing acidity and strawberry flavor with a hint of maple. It's actually a KitKat. KitKat originated overseas, introduced by Rowntree's of the UK in 1935 as "Chocolate Crisp" before being renamed KitKat in 1937. However, this high-end KitKat brand is unique to Japan and would make a great souvenir for foreign visitors. But for everyday consumption, I think I'll stick with the regular KitKat.

I purchased KitKat Chocolatory, a specialty store supervised by the pastry chef Yasumasa Takagi. I was curious to see if it was even more delicious than regular KitKats, which are already quite tasty. The Chocolatory Special had a variety of unique flavors, which was a bit too fancy for my liking as I prefer the basic ones. I bought the following:
- KitKat Sublime Milk/White/Bitter 1 piece for 324 yen (tax included)
- KitKat Chocolatory Special Sakura Green Tea 4 pieces for 432 yen (tax included)
There was a purchase limit of 3 pieces per person for each flavor. I compared them to the KitKat Mini at home. It was surprising to see that I could buy a 14-pack of KitKat Minis for the price of one Sublime KitKat. When I tried the Milk flavor, I could only slightly notice a difference in oil content compared to the KitKat Mini. Perhaps it's due to the quality or quantity of cocoa. Nonetheless, regular KitKats are still delicious. For me, sticking to the familiar KitKats is sufficient.

When I went to Takashimaya, I noticed that KitKat was being sold in the underground food market. It was part of the "Must Try Once" series, so I decided to buy it. The store had a luxurious vibe, with chandeliers and booths resembling boutiques. The Sublime series Milk flavor is set to be released on November 20th, and it is being sold early at Takashimaya for a high price of 324 yen. The Sublime series also includes Bitter and White flavors, but I think I prefer the Milk flavor. KitKat uses couverture chocolate, which is indeed delicious but quite expensive. I also bought the Chocolatory Orange Cocktail and Strawberry Maple flavors, which cost 432 yen for 4 pieces. Personally, I found the Sublime series to be more delicious. I wonder what other high-end versions of popular snacks will be released in the future. Perhaps a high-end version of Chupa Chups? My dog cannot eat chocolate, so I have to be careful.

Last year, I visited the KitKat Chocolatory in Shinjuku, a place I often frequent. I was looking for a gift for those who always give me treats, and decided on KitKat from here. When I visited shortly after it opened, it wasn't very crowded. I was surprised that there were no samples to try, which was a bit disappointing.
- Special Chili & Passion Fruit: A mix of sweet and sour flavors with a lingering spicy kick. The passion fruit adds a nice fruity touch.
- Special Butter: Layers of wafer with butter powder mixed in, adding a rich buttery flavor to the sweet white chocolate.
- Sublime Milk: Smooth chocolate with good melt-in-your-mouth texture, but the flavors weren't as strong as expected.
Overall, the chocolates were good but didn't exceed my expectations. They are a bit pricey and have a luxurious packaging, so I may not visit again soon. However, they make great gifts and are sure to be appreciated by others.

I came to buy the chestnut sweet potato from "Suya" and it was their opening day, so I purchased it.
- Date Rating: ★★ 2.5
- Location: It opened in Keio Department Store Shinjuku. It's located around the middle.
- Interior: Since it's in the department store basement, it doesn't have any particular unique feel.
- Taste: Sublime Bitter for 324 yen, Chocolatier Maple Strawberry for 432 yen. According to the staff, Sublime uses high-quality couverture chocolate. The Maple Strawberry is a series that can only be bought here. Honestly, I didn't feel much of a difference compared to store-bought ones.
Conclusion: There are few stores in the Kanto region, so it might be good as a souvenir. It's delicious, but I couldn't tell what sets it apart from regular Kit Kats or regional Kit Kats. The packaging also doesn't seem to be differentiated much. It could be a good gift for a girl who hasn't tried it before.
Additional Note: They should have provided sample tastings on the opening day. Perhaps the absence of it reveals that the taste is not much different from regular ones?

I received a gift from MYF, the "Anywhere Footprint Left Behind Squad" (named by Bankara) - KitKat. My whole family loves KitKats, so whenever I buy a small bag of them, it disappears in no time. This special edition KitKat, with a bitter chocolate adult flavor and matcha, I secretly enjoyed. It's perfect for a souvenir. I'll definitely use it next time.

KitKat Chocolatory is a shop where you can buy special versions of KitKat, located in various places in Tokyo. I visited the one at Matsuzakaya Ueno department store with my family and tried the following:
Sublime Valentine's Assortment 5-pack for ¥1944
This Valentine's limited edition assortment includes Sublime Ruby (2 pieces), milk, dark, and white KitKats. The Sublime Ruby is made from ruby cacao, which has a natural vibrant pink color and a berry-like sweet and sour taste. It seems like this cute color and unique flavor will become popular. Among the other three flavors, my favorite was the Sublime Bitter. It is made from a blend of cocoa beans from Ghana, Madagascar, and the Dominican Republic, with a cocoa content of 66%. It has acidity, bitterness, sweetness, and aroma that bitter chocolate lovers will enjoy. Trying the ruby cacao chocolate for the first time with the Sublime Ruby was a valuable experience that opened up new horizons. Thank you for the meal.

I received this from a colleague at work (о´∀`о) Lately, I've been getting treated to snacks at work a lot haha. It's been a common thing in any workplace I've been in. I knew about this shop, but it's my first time trying it. It's different from regular KitKats in terms of size and shape. It's longer than a regular KitKat, and each one is individually wrapped in a box. This time, it's a set of three. There are three flavors: Mild, Bitter, and Matcha. The Mild flavor is similar to the classic KitKat taste. It had a slightly different taste, but maybe that's just my taste buds being weird (/-\*) The Bitter one tastes exactly like a regular Bitter KitKat. It's not too sweet, so it's easy to eat. The Matcha flavor was the best! It's quite sweet and my favorite. I enjoyed these stylish adult KitKats (о´∀`о)

I received a Valentine's post! Valentine's post is a game where you can send virtual chocolates to friends on Facebook or Twitter. By completing missions, you can exchange for chocolate vouchers at KitKat Chocolatory. I successfully completed the mission and exchanged it for chocolates at KitKat Chocolatory in Shinjuku Takashimaya. I got two KitKat Chocolatory Sublime Bitter chocolates for 300 yen each. The packaging looked fancy, but the KitKat bars were small. They were quite expensive at 324 yen each. The Sublime Bitter flavor was not my favorite, I prefer the regular KitKat.
