"Beyond the cathode-ray tube~ The cool cavalry~ Shot down the Indians~" This is a famous song by The Blue Hearts called "Aozora." In Hatagaya, there is a Mongolian restaurant called "Aozora." Every time I passed by, this song would play in my head. I always wanted to stop by, but I had never tried Mongolian cuisine before, and I had no idea what to expect. On this day, Naruhodo-kun, who doesn't like lamb, was not with us, so it was just me and my boss. We decided to go in and explore. Surprisingly, the restaurant was quite spacious. There were no prior reservations, and we were a bit worried, but we ordered some drinks. I had a Mongolian Sour, and my boss had a draft beer. From the menu, we chose boiled lamb Chansumahar (half portion) and Aozora Salad. The Chansumahar was tender and delicious, but the smell of lamb might be too strong for those who don't like it. As we started eating, more people, including groups, came in, and the place became lively. We were used to eating Genghis Khan, so we were fine, but I wondered if Naruhodo-kun would have liked it. My boss wanted something lighter, so he ordered a mushroom salad. For the next drink, we had milk liquor, which was actually a clear shochu with a hint of milk scent. We also tried Mongolian-style xiaolongbao called Mongolian Pose. It was tasty, but I felt like lamb meat might be difficult to diversify in flavor. I wanted to try the sausages and stuffed intestines, but my boss suggested, "I feel like I'll be eating the same thing forever if we stay here. Let's have ramen at an electric bulb shop on our way home." And with that, our Mongolian cuisine adventure came to an end. I wanted to try the lamb skewers and sausages secretly next time. Cheers!
