Under the name of "Mesh/Earth," a residence designed by Kengo Kuma, known for his designs of the New National Stadium and Takanawa Gateway Station, was opened as a meat cuisine restaurant. The owner has changed a few times, but it is now operating as a meat cuisine restaurant. The walls inside and outside were crafted by the plasterer Hidehira Hoshikawa, known for his work on the Prime Minister's residence. The restaurant is located in a plum grove transplanted from Shinjuku Sumisaka, known as "Silver World of Plums" since the Edo period. The chef, Kentaro Ichikawa, trained at Ginza Wakou Nagayama and then became the head chef at Ginza Wakou Yoi Matsukusa before opening his own restaurant "Ate" in Ginza and eventually moving here.
The restaurant focuses on meat dishes, particularly using Ozaki beef known for its Miyazaki beef, while also incorporating seafood. The Standard Course menu included dishes such as seared beef tongue, assorted appetizers, sashimi, grilled blackthroat seaperch, simmered beef sirloin and matsutake mushrooms, Ozaki beef steak, clay pot rice with sea bream, and vanilla ice cream with real mirin for dessert. The reviewer found the dishes to be delicious and thought it was worth visiting again. They also mentioned their interest in visiting during the plum blossom season.

This year feels unusually hot, almost like it's summer. I had some errands in Akashi-machi and just walking around St. Luke's Hospital made me sweat a lot. After finishing my errands, I met up at a restaurant I had reserved at 6 pm in the New Shinbashi Building. The three-story building in Shibakoen gives the impression of a stubborn house that refuses to be demolished in the park, but it is actually a prestigious building designed by the architectural master, Kengo Kuma. We entered from the front right and were led to a private room for the banquet to begin. The course for today included Tofu Yukke (Hinan Wagyu), Appetizer Kai no Mi Sushi (Hinan Wagyu), Steamed Abalone Liver Sauce, Lamp Roast Beef (Hinan Wagyu), Sashimi of Wild Sea Bream (Akashi), Beef Sashimi and Uni Hand-Rolled Sushi, Ribeye Steak Tataki (Hinan Wagyu), Fried Hagfish, Clear Soup with Sirloin Cold Shabu (Hinan Wagyu), Somen Noodles with Pumpkin, Chateaubriand Steak (Hinan Wagyu), Rice with Tai Fish and Black Throat Sea Perch Salt Grilled, Pickles, Miso Soup with Clams, and for dessert, Vanilla Ice Cream with Monaka. We enjoyed a bottle of Stratum Pinot Noir Kenzo Estate Purple Murasaki 2018. It was a blissful time. Thank you for the feast.

In the middle of Shiba Park, there is a single residential house designed by Kengo Kuma, with a meat cuisine Japanese restaurant on the first floor. I was initially skeptical due to its unique location, but the meat dishes turned out to be surprisingly delicious. The chef, who used to run a restaurant in Ginza, has excellent skills in meat cuisine, and the selection of meat was also very good. Although the service from the female staff, including cleanliness, could have been better, overall, I thought it was a very good restaurant. I plan to visit again before the end of the year.

Meat Kappo Rai located in Shiba Park. It seems to be a private property. The dishes are not pretentious, but focus on bringing out the flavors of the ingredients. I enjoyed pairing the food with wine and sake. The service was also pleasant and efficient. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

Shiba Park's members-only meat kappo restaurant, Rei. This time we enjoyed our meal in a private room. The fusion of meat and Japanese cuisine was delicious. The shabu-shabu meat and bamboo shoot rice for the noodle finish were especially tasty. There are often disappointments with members-only establishments, but this place was a good choice. #ShibaParkGourmet #MeatKappoRei

First visit to a restaurant supported by Makuake. The place had a special atmosphere, and I think my date would be delighted if I took them there. It was all-inclusive, but they only had one type of red and white wine each, a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. However, they had a wide variety of Japanese sake, so I mainly enjoyed that. Thank you for the meal. It was a very lovely restaurant, and I would like to visit again. #NikuKappoRei #Want to connect with wine lovers #Wine lover #Pinot Noir #Sauvignon Blanc

There are times when it is empty on weekdays, and it can even be reserved for private parties depending on the time. The food is delicious, and they have a good selection of drinks. They also have private rooms available.
