It had been a while since I visited Moriya in the Sumiyoshi area. During the pandemic, they only offered bento boxes and were trying out different things, but now they have resumed their lunch service. However, my favorite generous portion of fried chicken is no longer available, so the lunch prices have gone up starting from 1,000 yen. Despite that, the place is quite crowded. The service is a bit slow, and I remember visiting a few times before and finding it either full or being told that there would be a wait, so I had to give up. This time, it wasn't too crowded, which was good. Since I had a meatless lunch last time, I felt like indulging and went for the pork belly simmered lunch for 1,100 yen. Well, it's not too crowded, but the service is still a bit slow. It's better to have some time to spare when using the lunch service here. The simmered pork belly came with two large pieces of pork belly, two pieces of simmered tofu, a half portion of boiled egg, and the classic simmered pork belly, which was very filling. The pork was tender and delicious! Maybe it's because of the consecutive hot days and getting older, but I felt heavy towards the end, but overall, I was very satisfied. The side dishes, which seemed to be homemade, included potato salad, simmered hijiki seaweed, and pickles, all of which were well made. The miso soup also had plenty of ingredients like nameko mushrooms, raw seaweed, komatsuna greens, and was delicious. The rice was also tasty. I skipped the sashimi set for 1,430 yen, but other customers ordered it, and it looked quite luxurious and delicious with about five types of sashimi. It seems worth trying. The restaurant accepts PayPay, but I don't remember it being part of any PayPay campaigns for the Koto area. It doesn't seem like there are any PayPay campaigns planned for the Koto area. I'm curious about the sashimi lunch, even though it's a bit pricey.
