One day, I saw a rocket news article online and thought, "I want to try this." But there's no Gyomu Super (a Japanese discount store) near my place. I go drinking in Uguisudani every week, but carrying heavy stuff back home from there is tough. After about six months, I finally went to check it out and ended up buying it. A paper pack rare cheesecake! And as a bonus, a Kyoto-style dashimaki tamago for 128 yen. I let them sit in the fridge until the weekend and then ceremoniously opened them. Unlike tea or juice packs, which you open on one side, this one is solid, so I opened it completely. It didn't come out just by tilting it gently, so I had to shake it a bit, and it finally came out. It looks like filled tofu, but it's actually quite big. There's a sense of fulfillment even before eating it. I was torn between getting the chocolate Bavarian cream, but I decided to go with the regular cheesecake first. It's not as rich as I expected, there's a slight yogurt-like taste, but it's still delicious. I'm thinking of trying the chocolate Bavarian cream next, but guess what? There's a Gyomu Super near my place! I didn't even realize it was there, but it seems like it opened after the co-op closed. Now I don't have to carry heavy stuff back from Uguisudani. What a relief!
