[November 2016 revisit] Visited "TEPPAN Shokunin" in front of Kinshicho Station with a friend from university after 10 months. The title was still fine back then, but it seems like the cheerful Anzumi-kun has disappeared, and the name has become quite old-fashioned. First, we toasted with a draft beer. In this restaurant, all the dishes, including okonomiyaki, are cooked by female staff. The potato butter appetizer was served promptly as usual. Even when my friend joked about the efficient cooking, the young women didn't seem to understand. We ordered the delicious mixed okonomiyaki and the Shokunin yakisoba, as well as scallops, angel prawns, and monjayaki. We enjoyed our beers and sours while everything was being cooked right in front of us. The female owner and staff were all friendly and created a pleasant atmosphere. Satisfied with the service, taste, and reasonable prices, we even ended up eating soba at the end. Thank you for the meal. [January 2016] Visited "TEPPAN Shokunin" in Kinshicho with friends who love okonomiyaki. We were impressed by the service where the friendly female staff cooked everything in front of us as requested. Unlike people from Kansai who grew up eating okonomiyaki like rice, as a person from Kanto, I'm not good at cooking, so having the staff cook for us was much appreciated. We started with a sour and the potato butter appetizer. Today's female staff member was also skillful, resembling Nagasawa Masami. We ordered the "Mixed Okonomiyaki (normal + shrimp, scallop, tomato, cheese, pork)", "Angel Prawns", "Raw Sausage", and "Shokunin Yakisoba". The okonomiyaki had a nice presentation with the egg on top, giving it a fluffy texture and a delicious taste with slightly thick sauce and mayo. The yakisoba was also tasty, with the sauce evenly coating the noodles, and mixing in the raw egg on top added to the enjoyment. We added more sours and bottles of makgeolli as we enjoyed our meal. For dessert, we ordered the free dessert of crispy pancake with ice cream, which was quite delicious. The bill came out to less than 4,000 yen per person, and we were satisfied with both the taste and the price. This restaurant offers the unique experience of having the food cooked in front of you at a reasonable price. The skilled female staff and their excellent customer service added to the overall positive experience. Thank you for the meal.

Exploring downtown gourmet in Sumida Ward, Kinshicho Edition Skilled teppanyaki and monjayaki at "TEPPAN Shokunin" - a popular spot known for its specialty potato butter, free dessert, pancakes, and ice cream. It was my first visit to this place! It was a cold, overcast day, perfect for a leisurely walk and some shopping in Kinshicho for lunch. My companion wanted to eat monjayaki, so we decided to head to a monjayaki restaurant near the station. We found a place on the third floor of a mixed-use building on a corner street near the station. We arrived around 1 pm and saw a few customers coming and going. We started with a refreshing glass of beer to quench our thirst. The potato butter, served as an appetizer, was a delightful surprise. We then ordered the asparagus pork rolls on the teppan grill, which were cooked to perfection. The monjayaki we ordered was a curry cheese monjayaki with an additional topping of mochi. It was expertly prepared by the skilled chef. We also added an okonomiyaki with beef tendon and green onions. The chef's technique of making the sauce on the teppan grill was impressive. The dishes were all delicious and expertly made. My companion, who is picky about monjayaki, was impressed and said we should definitely come back. The dishes here are addictive and the craftsmanship is superb. We will definitely be back for more of these delicious dishes!

The restaurant allows smoking and the staff politely ask if it is okay. It's a place I would recommend, but I ordered too many individual items and it became overwhelming. However, I was satisfied with the amount of food and it was delicious. I had monjayaki with mentaiko mochi cheese, curry, and okonomiyaki with double meat. I also ordered potato butter for the appetizer. For dessert, you can have hotcakes for 200 yen. It used to be free before, but now it's not.

I was debating between having lunch drinks or monjayaki, and ended up here. I ordered monjayaki, which I usually cook myself, but the staff offered to cook it for me. It was incredibly delicious. The corn appetizer was also very tasty, and the drinks were delicious too. I had a great time enjoying a nice lunch drink. I arrived right when the restaurant opened, but it quickly filled up, so making a reservation would be a good idea for a smooth entry.

This is my third visit. The okonomiyaki, monjayaki, and yakisoba are all delicious, cooked by the staff efficiently and politely. The griddle and tables are very clean, and they always clean the griddle before cooking. The hospitality of the staff is wonderful, and I was impressed by their wide perspective. When I tried to take medicine after eating, the staff quickly brought me water, which was touching. The hotcakes for dessert were also very tasty. I will definitely go back!

The style of this restaurant is to have a hot plate at each table, but unless you request otherwise, the staff will generally cook the food for you. They take care of everything until it's ready, so it's a great way to learn how to cook and you'll always end up with a delicious meal. The restaurant is non-smoking by default, but they allow smoking if requested, which is a bit of a downside. However, even though they normally require reservations for set courses, they made an exception for us when we asked, so I give them top marks!

I have been repeating this restaurant for a while now. They cook everything for you, which is great. The staff is efficient and it's fun to watch them work. On this day, I had garlic butter squid, pork kimchi, rib steak, and cheese risotto (white). The food was consistently delicious, I would definitely come back regularly if it was nearby.

Just outside the south exit of Kinshicho Station, I almost passed by the building on the 3rd floor without noticing it. Since I had some time that day, I decided to have a late lunch. As soon as I entered, before sitting down, a staff member quietly approached me and said, "Actually... we have a non-smoking policy, but the customer next to you is smoking. Would that be okay with you? The ventilation is sufficient so it shouldn't bother you, but..." I was already in the mood for okonomiyaki, so I couldn't really refuse and took my seat. They also informed other customers who came in later in the same way. The menu included not only grilled dishes but also seafood. I decided to start with some appetizers and ordered the octopus okonomiyaki. I also chose the butter-sautéed mushrooms, yam bake, and pork tempura. The dishes were cooked right in front of me on the teppan by the staff. Watching their skillful hands was enjoyable. The yam was fluffy, the mushrooms were seasoned just right and delicious. The pork tempura, piled up like fried rice and grilled, turned out fluffy and tasty. The only downside was the cigarette smoke wafting over from the neighboring table. Good food and cigarette smoke just don't mix well. The numerous "no smoking" signs in the restaurant felt somewhat meaningless.

This is a restaurant where I went with colleagues to enjoy okonomiyaki and monjayaki. They serve complimentary potato butter as a starter and offer free pancakes as a dessert, which is a unique and attractive service not found in other restaurants. Of course, the okonomiyaki and monjayaki were delicious! The staff cooks everything for you, and the okonomiyaki was thick and fluffy, almost like a pancake. The pork and fried egg were flavorful, making it very tasty. The double cheese monjayaki is a must-try for cheese lovers. The combination of the gooey texture of monjayaki and two types of melted cheese was rich and satisfying. The seaweed added a nice touch, surprisingly complementing the cheese well. As time passes, the cheese becomes crispy, offering a different taste experience. Lastly, we had the mentaiko mayo cheese okonomiyaki (I forgot to take a photo because I ate it too quickly). The combination of mentaiko and mayonnaise is a winner! The creamy richness and the fragrant flavor of mentaiko were irresistible. It was a perfect choice to end the meal with this dish! We also tried the samgyeopsal from the teppanyaki menu. It came with lettuce, kimchi, and green chili, providing a refreshing contrast to the crispy and juicy meat. This place is definitely worth revisiting!

★All-you-can-drink★ The "luxury course" with 11 items is cooked right in front of you, making it fun to watch. Everything is freshly made and piping hot, so delicious! The chefs' skills are amazing! It's a carb overload, almost bursting at the seams (lol). The service is excellent, TEPPAN-yaki is a must here!

The complimentary dish was buttered potatoes. The grilled dishes are all cooked in front of you on the hot plate. The staff worked efficiently and the okonomiyaki was fluffy and tall, giving off a professional vibe. They recommended dishes and desserts, making the dining experience very enjoyable. I declined dessert as I was already full, but they kindly made a small portion for me. It was just the right amount to satisfy my appetite! They allow electronic cigarettes and seem to be child-friendly. I'm considering returning with my child, although I'm a bit worried.

I visited a teppanyaki restaurant in Kinshicho (*≧∀≦*) They served potato butter as a starter! They grilled the potatoes in front of us and finished them off with butter and soy sauce ( ´∀`) For the main dish, I ordered the recommended mentaiko mochi cheese monjayaki and a mix okonomiyaki (*'▽'*). The staff grilled everything in front of us, and we enjoyed watching it cook before eating ( *´艸`)( *´艸`) The okonomiyaki was thick and delicious!! I want to try different varieties next time (≧∇≦)

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant. The restaurant is located a short distance from the south exit of Kinshicho Station, down a side street. It's about a minute walk from the station. The inside of the restaurant is bustling with a mix of young people and salarymen. I ordered bacon yakisoba, squid tempura, and shrimp tempura. ------------I wondered why they call it "tempura" with the name of the ingredient in front of it. When I looked it up, I found out that in Kansai, they say "tamago" (egg) is included and shorten it to "tamago." On the other hand, in Kanto, they say "tenkasu" (tempura scraps) is included and shorten it to "tempura."------------ The staff cooked the bacon and okonomiyaki for us. The bacon yakisoba is eaten dipped in cheese sauce. The okonomiyaki is fluffy and delicious. While we were eating, more and more customers kept coming in. I could tell it's a popular spot because those without reservations were turned away. Lastly, we were treated to a dessert of hotcakes as a service. They topped it with ice cream and chocolate sauce, providing us with excellent service.

Visited for the second time on a weekend night with two friends. The staff were all very friendly. The okonomiyaki, cooked on the iron plate right in front of us, was recommended as it is steamed a bit before being finished, making it fluffy and delicious. It had been a few years since my last visit, but according to my friend who frequents the restaurant, it has been getting more and more popular. While we were there, several groups without reservations were turned away. So, be sure to make a reservation before going.

I love this place and have been there many times. I absolutely love their sukiyaki and monjayaki. Their okonomiyaki is also delicious and reasonably priced. The staff can be a bit intimidating, but it's still my favorite restaurant!
