I ordered the Mango Special and it was amazing! It was mango season and the flavors were incredible. It was filled with all kinds of mangoes, perfect for mango lovers. The Mango Sandwich was the highlight for me. The mango was delicious, and the cream surrounding it was sweet and refreshing, making me feel happy. The juice tasted like pure mango, thick and rich! It was 200% mango. The parfait was a collaboration of mangoes (sometimes with skin) and vanilla ice cream. The sweetness of the mango was so strong that the grapes tasted less sweet in comparison. Considering the price, I felt that they really went all out with the mango festival. I also bought the Royal Sandwich and Special Sandwich for home, but I found the Mango Sandwich to be the most delicious and sweet. They are all tasty though!

I ordered a peach-themed course and chose the cheaper option based on the origin of the peaches. They were incredibly sweet and delicious! When I had gotten a fruit sandwich to go before, I noticed that the bread was dry, but when I ate it in the store, I didn't have that issue at all. I found that sandwiches with only one type of fruit were sweeter than those with a variety of fruits, so I will make sure to always eat single fruit sandwiches in the store from now on!

This year, I was planning to enjoy delicious peaches from Okayama, but due to a poor harvest, I had to put that plan on hold. Instead, I decided to revisit this place for a peach parfait. The peaches were not as cold as I expected, more like room temperature with the ice cream being the cold element. Every year when I eat peach parfait, I always feel that the vanilla ice cream is sweeter than the peaches, so the peach's sweetness is not very noticeable. However, there were no unnecessary ingredients added, and it was delicious. Last year, I had a peach parfait made with Okayama peaches, but it wasn't overly sweet, so I will keep trying every year until I can enjoy a perfect peach parfait.

I went to Yaoiso on Imadegawa with a friend in the mood for dessert after a meal. They had a menu featuring fruit sandwiches, using fruits like melon, peach, and watermelon. I tried a juice made with plenty of peach flesh, which was delicious and refreshing. It wasn't too crowded in the early afternoon, so we were able to relax and enjoy our time there. I felt that it was a nice place for a casual cafe visit.

After a few years, I revisited Yaoiso. In the scorching heat, I enjoyed a refreshing fruit sandwich at the cool shop. Instead of a fruit sandwich with a lot of filling or overly sweet whipped cream, this one had just the right amount of sweetness with fruits bursting with flavor. This is what Yaoiso does best. This is perfect.

On a Sunday afternoon, I felt like having some fruit and decided to stop by. The interior of the shop had a retro Showa era vibe, like something out of an Adachi Mitsuru manga, which gave me a nostalgic feeling. I ordered a mixed fruit sandwich, a mango set, and a mixed juice, and as expected, they were all delicious and gentle on the palate. I would definitely want to stop by again if I'm in the area.

The pineapple sandwich would make a nice gift, while the pineapple for myself was too sweet, maybe because it was soaked in syrup? I'm not sure. Anyway, it tasted good, but the bread was dry.

I visited after about 10 years! Everything was the same and nostalgic. Fruit sandwich for 810 yen. I arrived around 2 pm on a weekday and it was the last one! Barely made the purchase. After that, I had lunch, tea, and went home, so I was full and put it in the fridge. I ate it over the next day and the day after, but it's definitely best to consume it on the day of purchase! The autumn leaves were wonderful, but there were a lot of people and cars, so I avoided the crowds by taking a back road to the city of Kyoto. Before heading to Myoken-ji Temple near Shokoku-ji Temple, I had a late lunch around 2 o'clock. The restaurant I wanted to go to was temporarily closed, so I ended up having a fruit sandwich here. There were four 4-person tables, and the previous customers were an elderly couple, followed by a young couple with a baby. There were also customers coming in for takeout. The major tourist spots in Kyoto are very crowded during the post-COVID season, but coming here felt like a normal everyday scene, which was a relief.

When you order a set at this famous shop known for its fruit sandwiches, you can enjoy a hometown sandwich, fruit yogurt, mixed juice, and an abundance of fruits! The bread is fluffy and delicious. They also have seasonal fruit sandwiches that I would love to try.

The seating had dividers, and the customers seemed to be mostly regulars and locals. Many people were also getting takeout from the shop. If you plan to visit, I recommend this location over the main shop.

This fruit parlor is operated by a long-established fruit shop in Kyoto and has several branches in the city center of Kyoto, with good access (right near Imadegawa Station). The eat-in space has seating for four tables. When I visited, it was full, but I only had to wait a little before being seated. This time, I tried the "Peach Paradise" that started this month (¥1,925). It includes a peach sandwich, a mini peach parfait, and peach juice, making it a delightful menu for peach lovers (of course, individual items are also available). I was a bit skeptical about the peaches as it's just the beginning of summer, but they were quite good. The signature fruit sandwich at Yaoiso, in its peach version, has a cream filling, but it's mostly peach. The peach mini parfait has vanilla ice cream, but the peach flavor is strong. The peach juice is also full of peach flavor. It's quite nice. I heard that they will soon offer a peach paradise made with Okayama's white peaches. If I have the chance, I will visit again.

In Kyoto, when it comes to fruit sandwiches, the top recommendation is "Yaoiso Omiya Store", but there is also a branch quietly located near Doshisha University on Karasuma Street. Since the main store is always crowded, I decided to try their strawberry parfait here. The quality of the parfait is probably the same as the main store, but the atmosphere of this branch is not very "Kyoto-like", which is a bit disappointing. The parfait was delicious with plenty of strawberries, delivering a consistently great taste!

I've always wanted to visit Yaoiso. This time, I stayed at a hotel in Marutamachi, so I was looking forward to going to Yaoiso! Due to the pandemic, I aimed for a time when there would be fewer people. I went before 11 am and there were no other guests! Lucky me! I quickly ordered two strawberry-themed dishes without hesitation. When they arrived, we were so excited! The strawberry-themed dishes were cute and delicious. We started with the strawberry juice, which was sweet and sour and very tasty. Then we had the strawberry sandwich, with soft bread, not too sweet cream, and delicious strawberries. We felt happy as we finished the sandwich and moved on to the strawberry mini parfait. I had recently tried a strawberry parfait at a popular local shop, but it only had two strawberries and was quite expensive. Yaoiso's mini parfait, on the other hand, had three pieces and was reasonably priced at 1815 yen for the strawberry-themed set. I will definitely come back during peach season! Next to the shop is Doshisha... or rather a temple with space. It seems better to look for a parking space for your car. I have also visited Omiya before (Mr. Hideki Kimura seems to have turned Kyoto into his canvas), and the impression of the Karasuma store was first and foremost the scent of fruits. Fruit Sandwich (¥700) - Each piece contains 2-3 fruits. The bread had become a bit hard by around 3 pm. The whipped cream is light, and the fruits are delicious, with 5 varieties (pineapple, strawberry, kiwi, papaya, melon). It is also light and disappears quickly. The strawberries are all delicious. There are some slightly stimulating strawberries, but nothing too overwhelming. In terms of price, it seems to be a victory compared to a certain store in Shimogamo (¥1,100 and above). There are plenty of spots like Akutagawa Ramen, Unryu no Tawaraya Yoshitomi, Sambokan of Doshisha, and Sokokuji Temple, so you won't have trouble deciding. Subway Imadegawa → (about 3 minutes on foot) → Matsunoya (lunch under ¥1,000) → (about 5 minutes) → Yaoiso → (about 5 minutes) → lleno to see the notebook → (about 15 minutes) Wife & Husband (picnic ¥1,200) with coffee by the Kamogawa River and a break at Yaoiso → (about 10 minutes) Botanical Garden → (about 10 minutes) Subway Kitaoji Station.

Visited around 10 am on Saturday. There were 2 groups of customers already. The restaurant had reduced its seating capacity, with only 4 tables for 4 people each. When we sat down, the staff brought us water and menus. We placed our order at the table and paid at the counter later. We ordered the "Strawberry Special" (1,815 yen), which was only available in spring and was listed as "From February" on the menu. However, based on their official Instagram, it seems like it started in early January. Our order arrived 10 minutes later. It included a strawberry juice, a mini strawberry parfait, and a strawberry fruit sandwich. Both the parfait and the sandwich were filled with large chunks of strawberries. The juice was surprisingly rich and delicious. The portion was quite generous, and we were full by the time we finished. The staff was friendly and provided good service. I would like to visit this place again when the seasonal fruits change.

I was planning to order that, but I ended up wanting to try various fruits, so I got the mini kudzu arare set which included strawberries, melon, pineapple, kiwi, grapes, banana, mango, and watermelon! The fruit sandwich comes with 3 slices of bread per set. The whipped cream holds the bread and fruits together so even if you take a big bite, the fruits won't fall off! The mixed juice seemed to be made only with the fruit juices, it was so rich and thick with a strong banana flavor, very delicious! The kudzu arare has a refreshing texture, perfect for summer. It was like a combination of agar and warabi mochi. If I have the chance to come back, I would like to try the peach set next time!♬.*ﾟ
