Visiting a gift for the destination. Although Takadanobaba is quite a big station, surprisingly there is no station building like an Ekiben! The outside area is quite well-equipped though. But then, I found it, Cozy Corner. I couldn't count the number of people so I bought 6 cakes. I chose a variety of colors: Chocomint, Lemon Mont Blanc, Andes Melon something, Peach Pie, Strawberry something... Wait, this is not a review, let me check the receipt. Chocomint 453 yen, Seto Lemon Lemon Mont Blanc 453 yen, Andes Short 518 yen, White Peach Pie 486 yen, Mill Short Strawberry 529 yen, Quincy C Princess 691 yen. Cozy's cakes look fancy when you open the box, and there are cheers. Is this the charm of cake gifts? This store only has a sales area. Cozy really has fewer restaurants now. This place not only has cakes, but also delicious parfaits, it's a shame. Just as I brought this to my destination, someone mentioned the Cozy in Tamachi and was surprised to hear it had closed. It was so nice there. I wonder why it closed. I think they may have gone in the wrong direction. Now, the one I ate was the Andes Melon one. Oh, this is the Quincy one, I unintentionally chose the most expensive one (´∀｀) The melon was delicious. The cake was big. In the end, I couldn't have lunch, but this filled my stomach. Cake can be a meal too, right?

It opened near Takadanobaba Station this spring. There were posters near the station, and I would sometimes walk around wondering where it was. It was on the first floor of the building on the corner next to Don Quijote. I hadn't eaten there in a while, but everything was consistently delicious. Especially the jumbo pudding, classic yet not too firm, the bittersweetness of the caramel sauce really brings out the flavor.

Compared to Kotobuki, if you're looking for something a bit more casual in the Kansai region, Takarabune might be a good choice. These days, convenience store sweets are even on the high-end side. I personally prefer the convenience and ease of selection at places like that. It reminds me of the joy of choosing from a variety of options lined up neatly. I'm thinking of going to Kotobuki next time.

I love cream puffs and eclairs. The prices at this place are amazing, thanks to economies of scale. I usually pass by the Baba store without stopping because it's always crowded. But today, I happened to pass by when it was empty. I couldn't resist stepping in. I was also looking for Valentine's Day chocolates. And I found them - chocolate cubes for a great price. It's definitely worth buying. There are 20 cubes in a pack for just around 500 yen. The Cozy Corner is really offering a great deal. Thank you so much. When I got home, I brewed some tea and it was truly cozy. The chocolate was delicious, with the perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture. Thank you for the wonderful treat.

The shop is located on the first floor of the Meiten Building on the right side after crossing the signal at the rotary. The shop has been in the same location for over 20 years since I became a working adult. When I was in Tokyo, I used to frequent this shop often. This time, I bought 20 jumbo cream puffs as souvenirs for the office. They are voluminous and filled with lots of delicious cream. For every 10 cream puffs purchased, I received one Butter Financier. The Butter Financier from Cozy Corner is moist, deep, and delicious. It was a pleasure to enjoy the taste of Cozy Corner after a long time.

I had heard rumors that this place often has a 50% off sale, but I never had the chance to go until now. I happened to pass by after having lunch nearby, and I saw a shelf right by the entrance with items at 50% off. There were two types of Disney character snacks, both with a shelf life of about 3 weeks. I wasn't sure why they were so cheap, but I decided to buy both types. - <Disney> Sports Box (8 pieces): $5 (tax included $5.40) This box contains 4 Mickey and Minnie butter cookies and 4 strawberry cookies, each with a different sports-themed print. The taste was surprisingly good, even without the Disney theme. My kids ended up fighting over them, so I might buy more next time, considering the expiration date. - <Disney> Sports Bag (8 pieces): $7 (tax included $7.56) This bag includes 3 madeleines, 3 batons, and 2 baked chocolates. After a long time, I had Cozy Corner's pudding♪ Despite the low price, the sweetness and smoothness of it are irresistible. I always pass by the store, but I rarely stop by, maybe half a year? Or more. There has been a gap. Since you can also buy cakes cheaply, I will come back to buy again♪

From Takadanobaba Station Waseda Exit (ticket gate), I crossed the pedestrian crossing in front of Big Box to reach the station front rotary (bus stop for Waseda University main gate) and bought Duck Wares Strawberry & Chocolate (3 pieces) at Ginza Cozy Corner on the 1st floor of the famous building, Meiten Building (completed in 1969). Until around 2000, the Cozy Corner in Takadanobaba (with a restaurant) was located at a different place along Waseda Street, around the opposite side of Koryo Second Elementary School (?). I have dined at the old Cozy Corner Takadanobaba store with a restaurant twice. The old store with a restaurant closed down before the start of the Tabelog service in April 2005, probably around 2005 since the old store was not registered. The current Ginza Cozy Corner Takadanobaba store is located next to the Mitsubishi UFJ Bank ATM corner on the 1st floor of Meiten Building, right next to subway B5 exit (stairs), but there is no restaurant attached, only a take-out specialty store for cakes and pastries. In the past, there were long-standing pastry shops in Takadanobaba such as Boston (closed around 2005, replaced by a mobile shop and Okashi no Machioka Takadanobaba store) and Fujiya Bakery Cafe Takadanobaba (around 1964 to September 6, 2009, replaced by Misaki Port Takadanobaba store), but now the area has become barren of pastry shops, with even Lotte Group's chain stores disappearing like Avanson (formerly Flat Ria). Cozy Corner is a valuable presence in Takadanobaba, even as a chain store of the Lotte Group (since 2008). The Duck Wares Strawberry & Chocolate (3 pieces) I purchased this time were all eaten by me. [Visit on November 18, 2018] This place is located about a 1-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station. I visited around 3 pm on a Sunday. The inside of the store was busier than I expected, with 3 groups of customers ahead of me and 1 group behind me. They were offering a 10% discount on this day, which may have contributed to the crowd. I purchased a Jumbo Choux Cream for 111 yen and a Cheesecake for 311 yen. Cozy Corner offers reasonably priced items, so it reminded me of the times when I used to occasionally get treats from here as a child. Thank you for the meal.

A cake shop located in the back of the lottery ticket booth in front of Takadanobaba Station. The cakes are big and visually appealing. They have simple and easy-to-like flavors that kids enjoy. I used to go there a lot when I was younger, but hadn't been in a while. However, on my way home drunk one night, I saw their sign and couldn't resist going in. Don't you ever feel like buying a cake as a souvenir to take home? They're having a 10-15% discount sale until the end of October. I bought a slice of shortcake and a gâteau chocolat for 357 yen each. When I got home, I enjoyed them with some red wine. The taste was just as comforting as I remembered from before.

I had a Cassis and Chestnut cake from a takeout pastry shop in Takadanobaba, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. It is located on the ground floor of the "Meiten Building" at the Waseda exit of Takadanobaba Station. It is a branch of Ginza Cozy Corner, known as the "Sweets Sanctuary". The original store was established in 1948 and is located along Chuo-dori in Ginza 1-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. However, it is closer to Kyobashi than Ginza 4-chome intersection in terms of distance. In 2008, it became a subsidiary of Lotte Holdings. I bought and ate the aforementioned item. It is a visually stunning autumn limited edition cake with Chestnut mousse topped with Pear puree-infused Cassis mousse, finished with Cassis glaze. The mellow sweetness of the chestnut and the sweet and sour taste of the Cassis harmonize well. The Chestnut mousse contained pieces of chestnut fruit, adding a nice accent to the cake.

"Cozy Corner" is a chain store of Western sweets, and this is the first review. It is located in front of Baba Station, easily visible from outside, and the interior is quite spacious, selling baked sweets, cakes, and more. There seem to be about 30 types of cakes, making it hard to choose. This time, I bought Mont Blanc (390 yen) and cheesecake (320 yen), excluding tax. Payment can be made with Pasmo or Suica. When I opened the box, it had a cooling pack inside and everything was securely fixed. The "Mont Blanc" has custard cream, sponge cake, whipped cream, chestnut paste, and chestnuts on top. It looks very fancy and colorful, but the sponge cake has a slightly crumbly texture. It's a bit sweet and heavy. The "cheesecake" is a souffle cheesecake. It's soft and fluffy, as expected from chain stores or supermarkets. It's not too rich in flavor. It's quite delicious and looks nice, so this store is convenient for souvenirs or personal treats.

Weekday sweets. Located on the 1st floor of a building at the corner where you turn from the rotary in front of Takadanobaba BIGBOX onto Waseda Street. It's behind the escalator outside the building and can be hard to spot from the road. It's a take-out store of a cake chain. Lemon pie for 380 yen. It has a soft pie crust with layers of cheese lemon custard cream and sponge, topped with lemon-flavored cream for a refreshing cake. The texture is like a cross between meringue and mousse, slightly sweet with a hint of acidity. The pie crust is too soft, but overall a satisfying sweet treat.

In the area around Takadanobaba Station, there is a precious cake shop. It used to operate on the first floor of an old building across the street, offering both takeout and table seating which was quite popular. I visited when there were customers, and bought some cakes to take home. The other day, I went to their new location after they moved, and bought a shortcake and a chocolate cake after a long time. Both cakes were just as good as before, reasonably priced, and quite delicious. The store is clean, and the female staff's service is generally good.
