This week, I decided to have lunch at Shinbashi Ekimae Building for the first time in a while. When I arrived a little before 12 o'clock, there was quite a crowd and a long line outside the restaurant. I checked the B1F and 1F, but I couldn't bring myself to wait in line, so I reluctantly headed towards the Uchisaiwaicho area. Many restaurants here also had stopped serving lunch, so I decided to visit this place after a long time. The restaurant has a Thai street food style setup, with the entrance covered with vinyl, but the air conditioning was working properly. With this extreme heat, it would have been difficult if it were a real street stall. Feeling a bit heat-fatigued and craving something spicy, my eyes were drawn to the chili mark on the menu. You can choose between a main dish and a mini main dish, both with 2 chili peppers. I ordered the Green Curry as the main dish and Gabaoraisu as the mini main dish. After placing my order, I went to get some tea. You can drink as much Jasmine tea, Corn tea, and Oolong tea as you like here. Of course, there's also water available. When I entered, there were only 2 groups of customers, but more customers, mainly women, started coming in one after another, and it became quite crowded. Since there is only one cooking area, orders can take some time if they pile up. The dishes arrived relatively quickly. The Green Curry with Thai rice was served. I like fluffy long-grain rice, so I poured the non-thickened Thai curry over it as I ate. It was delicious with a hint of coconut flavor and the spiciness was mild, probably because of the many female customers. Next was the Gabaoraisu, which also had stir-fried red chili peppers in it. I enjoyed eating that as well. The set included steamed spring rolls, cold tofu, chicken soup, and fresh vegetables, all for 900 yen. As usual, it was reasonably priced. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.
