One of our group members overslept and was running late, so we decided to have a morning cafe at Doutor Coffee while waiting for them. The cafe was frequented by locals, and the four of us enjoyed a quiet time ordering our favorite drinks. I chose a warming cafe latte, a classic menu item at Doutor. The balance of steamed milk and coffee was just right, and I enjoyed the natural sweetness of the milk without adding sugar. The gentle and comforting flavor warmed me up. When I went to the restroom, I was surprised to hear music playing as soon as I entered the private stall. It was a modern touch. As we chatted while sipping our cafe lattes, our late member finally arrived, 30 minutes behind schedule. We then left the cafe to head towards the Catholic church. It was a pleasant experience. Near the exit 1b of Edogawabashi Station, there is a Doutor cafe. It is entirely non-smoking, but there is a smoking booth available. I ordered the Doutor Shake Chocolat S (380 yen). It uses soft serve ice cream made from Hokkaido fresh milk, which makes it smooth and delicious. It's perfect for the upcoming hot season, and I might become a repeat customer. This shake is a rare item that is not listed on Doutor's website, and you can't find which stores sell it. It was lucky that I stumbled upon it.

I decided to have breakfast at this Doutor on Shin Mejiro Street on my way to work instead of at home. The title "Waseda" was chosen because the restaurant is listed as being in the Waseda area on Tabelog, but it is actually located near Edogawabashi Station in Bunkyo Ward. I entered the store and ordered the A Morning set (398 yen) at the register. A Morning consists of a ham and egg salad sandwich and a drink. I ordered coffee for my drink. The coffee was already placed on the tray, and I paid at the counter. The sandwich would be called out by the receipt number. Looking around the store, I noticed that some people were sitting alone at table seats, but to avoid inconvenience if someone else needed a table, I chose a counter seat facing the staff. The counter seats were separated by acrylic boards for splash protection. When my number was called, I picked up the sandwich. It was smaller than I expected. The toast had a crispy texture, with tomato, egg, and ham sandwiched inside. Although the sandwich was small, it was quite tasty. However, I still felt a bit hungry. I briefly considered ordering a German dog as well, but decided I could just leave for lunch in Kanda at 11 o'clock. I drank my coffee, returned the tray and dishes, and left. It was cheap and convenient for a quick meal. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, there is a term "White Doutor" and "Black Doutor" that I hear often, and I heard that it was recently renovated into "White Doutor". Apparently, "White Doutor" is a new type of cafe, with a stylish and comfortable interior design, power outlets available, and completely non-smoking. On the other hand, "Black Doutor" is said to be the traditional type. I wanted to stop by this day as I wanted to have a light meal while adjusting my schedule. I ordered a blend coffee size L for 320 yen and a well-toasted toast for 190 yen. I surprisingly like Doutor's toast and enjoy eating it. I used to think that the distinction between "White Doutor" and "Black Doutor" was based on the color of the background behind the 'DOUTOR' sign at the entrance - white for White Doutor and black for Black Doutor, but it seems that you can't distinguish them just by the sign. The logo background of this shop is black, but it is indeed a White Doutor in terms of features. As a heavy Doutor user, I am happy to see more White Doutor cafes opening. I have been using them quite a lot. (^ー^)

There is a coffee shop near Edogawa Bridge. I went in around 5:35 pm on a Sunday for a quick stop. The interior had 16 counter seats with power outlets and about 15 two-seater tables. There were around 20 customers already inside. There was also a smoking area, but I didn't see it clearly. They offer Wi-Fi as well. I ordered an iced coffee (including tax, 220 yen) and paid with a Doutor value card. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This is the Doutor Coffee Shop at Mejiro-dori in Edogawabashi. They offer a morning set for 390 yen, which includes ham, egg, and ice cafe latte. The shop is just a few meters from Edogawabashi Station. Today, I visited the area for breakfast and found this cafe. It is operated by three Japanese women. The shop is located right by the station and was about 40% full. There are 42 non-smoking seats and 14 smoking seats. The taste of the food and drinks was standard. I added one and a half pumps of syrup to my ice cafe latte because I was feeling tired. Thank you for the meal.

Edogawa-bashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line. Despite being near the Kanda River, it is not actually in the Edogawa Ward. It's a bit difficult to explain the name "Edogawa" Bridge to others. There are a few chain restaurants on Shin-Mejiro Street near the ticket gate, with only one café chain, Doutor. It's a good place to kill time for a bit. The staff here seem more relaxed compared to other places, but the menu is the same. I always get the Café Latte, hot size S (250 yen), so there's nothing particularly noteworthy. It's a reliable chain. Depending on the time of day, it can be almost full. It would be nice to have one more café nearby for a bit of variety... I guess we customers are a bit spoiled, aren't we?

This shop located in a building right by Edogawabashi Station. I used it with my friends after an event at Tsubakiyama-so. The interior of the shop mainly consists of tables for two people. The single seats are like a counter with frosted glass partitions, and I checked that there are outlets! There also seems to be Wi-fi. The shop gives a very clean impression. In other shops, cigarette smoke bothers me, but it didn't bother me at all here. Looking around the shop, the smoking area was completely separated. I see. It's really nice to be able to relax without worrying about cigarette smoke. I ordered an iced coffee in a medium size. It was a hot and humid day, so the size was just right for cooling down. At the time we were there, there were many solo customers, and the overall impression was quiet. I wonder if our voices stood out a bit? That's how it felt. I also used the restroom, and it was very clean and comfortable.

Doutor is located in a building just outside the 1B exit of Edogawabashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line. I arrived early before heading to a popular bar opening at 5 pm, so I decided to stop by here. The smoking area is separated from the non-smoking area, so it was not smoky near the counter, which was a relief. I visited with a friend, and I ordered a Small Mixed Berry Yogurt (340 yen) while my companion got a Medium Iced Coffee (270 yen). I usually drink coffee when I go to Doutor, but this time I opted for a soft drink because I had already had several cups of coffee at home before going out. It was probably the first time or at least a long time since I had something other than coffee at Doutor. I was surprised by the variety of soft drinks on the menu. The Mixed Berry Yogurt had a slightly artificial flavor, but it was a nice option for a leisurely visit without coffee. The restaurant has a clean and nice dedicated restroom, so I recommend using that instead of the building's shared restroom. I didn't realize there was a Doutor-specific restroom, so I checked the building's restroom before entering, which was old and not very clean, and ended up using the restroom at a nearby convenience store before coming here.

After the Imperial Palace, we dispersed at Tsubakiyama-so ✨ I felt like drinking a lot of coffee since I had to limit my water intake for the ceremony. The cafe at Tsubakiyama-so was closed, so upon the suggestion of the guest of honor, Candid, we visited this place near Edogawabashi Station. Today's coffee was "Indian Natural," but since only small size was available, I ordered the blend in large size. Candid had an iced coffee in medium size. The Pizzetta Margherita was out of stock, so I asked for the 4 Cheese & Bacon instead, but that was also out of stock... I said, "That's okay," as long as I could have the coffee. The deep-roasted coffee in my preferred large size was quickly enjoyed ✨ In the end, I also tried the "Indian Natural," which had a sour taste that wasn't really to my liking, but it had a nice flavor profile ✨ Once again, "Congratulations, Candid!"

At the Edogawabashi Station on the Yurakucho Line, there is a restaurant on the opposite side of the direction towards Tsubakiyama-so. I saw on Tabelog that the restaurant has been renovated. I remember it had the appearance of a Shiro Doutor store. Inside the restaurant, there is a large table in the center with mostly two-seater tables, but there are also some one-seater tables with power outlets. The restaurant is smoke-free, with a smoking area available, and it has automatic doors at the entrance. When I visited, it wasn't too crowded, so it was quite a relaxing place. However, depending on the time of day, it may get busy as there are several nearby companies. Since it's a Doutor chain, you can earn T-Points but they only accept cash. - Raisin Brioche: I was intrigued by this new product and bought it. There weren't as many raisins as I expected, mostly on the surface or at the bottom. But the texture inside was soft and pleasant, so if you think of it as a fluffy bread rather than a raisin bread, it's still tasty. - Brioche Chocolat: This was another find near the register. Surprisingly, it wasn't too sweet, and despite its size, it was reasonably priced. A good value pastry. - Apple Pie: Since I couldn't stay in the store for long, I hesitated to get a set and thought of just getting an iced coffee. But then I noticed this Apple Pie near the register, priced at 160 yen. It was surprisingly heavy and tasted really good. Another unexpected gem found around the register area.

I visited the restaurant on a Friday night in late May. The restaurant is located near Edogawabashi Station. It used to be a McDonald's before the renovation. The old Doutor, before the relocation and renovation, had a lot of complaints about being only nominally non-smoking. Since the relocation and renovation, it has become completely non-smoking, and there is no longer any tobacco smoke flowing, making the non-smoking section comfortable. I ordered an iced coffee and enjoyed it while reading a book. The iced coffee was delicious. The non-smoking section was spacious and comfortable. Non-smokers are the winners. After finishing the iced coffee, I returned the empty glass to the return counter and headed home. Thank you for the meal.

Actually, I'm not a fan of cigarettes, so I tend to choose smoke-free establishments. This Doutor recently relocated and underwent a complete renovation. They have adopted the latest smoke-separation technology. I confirmed firsthand how little cigarette smoke affects the non-smoking area - it remains completely clean. I was amazed by this cutting-edge technology. I hope more establishments start using this. The number of seats has significantly increased, and the interior is now bright with natural light. The image of Doutor as a place for businessmen to take a break has changed for the better. It has become a surprisingly relaxing cafe. What made me happiest was when my son dropped his pouch in the store, they picked it up and handled it with care. The staff remained friendly and composed throughout, which was truly heartwarming. The coffee is slightly weak, but the orange juice is surprisingly good - juicy and delicious. They also sell sandwiches, which can be a good light meal option.
