I was interested in a yakiniku restaurant I saw in an open information! It is located in Taiichi Market in Koenji! Luckily, when I called on the same day, they had availability so I visited. Since there were two of us, we were seated at the counter. There are only two table seats, and the counter can accommodate about 8 people! Since there are not many seats, I recommend making a reservation!! This was my first time, so I went with the course recommended by the staff. [Order contents] Chef's course 4800 yen - Namul assortment - Kimchi assortment - Beef tataki yukke - Tongue salt - Upper tongue salt - Kalbi - Roast - Harami - Tongue suji - Red meat cut off - Shimacho - Rice medium (+200 yen) This content for 4800 yen is amazing,,,! The meat and seasoning were so delicious! Personally, I liked the kalbi and roast! The sauce is a complete rice thief. The roast was cooked for only 2 seconds on one side, quite rare!! The station is close, the food is delicious! The customer service is good, and the cost performance is great. It's located in a narrow alley, so the only downside is that there is no toilet and the tables (counters) are small, but other than that, it was great. On September 9, 2023, the typhoon had passed and a slightly autumnal breeze was blowing. I went for some barbecue from lunchtime today at Yakiniku Kokochi, which opened this spring in a deep spot food and drink area in Koenji, just like DRIED SARDIN BROTHERS and CURRY SHOP Kujira. The owner is very handsome! The Negitan salt, Wagyu Harami, top loin, hormone platter, and shrimp sashimi at the barbecue restaurant were all amazingly delicious. The Negitan salt is topped with lots of leeks after grilling, and the leek sauce is so delicious that I even ordered a large bowl of rice just to put the leeks on top and eat them. The top loin is lightly seared and dipped in beaten raw egg before eating. It's a winner! The hormone also had a fresh texture that clearly showed its freshness, with an amazing chewiness. Koenji has so many delicious restaurants. It's delicious, too delicious! The wind whispered to me. If you're unsure where to go for barbecue in Koenji, this is a place worth considering. I heard good things about this place before visiting for the first time. The kimchi platter, beef intestines sashimi, beef tataki yukke style, grilled beef tongue with salt, top quality liver, wagyu harami, beef tongue, top quality beef loin, kalbi (with pukkochu sauce), red meat cut off with coriander sauce, wagyu harami suji (with pukkochu sauce), hormone, cold noodles, rice x2. Everything was delicious! The kimchi was especially good. The overall seasoning was so tasty that I couldn't help but overeat. I particularly liked the new product, pukkochu sauce! It went perfectly with the kalbi and harami suji, with just the right amount of spiciness. Excellent seasoning! I wanted to eat it again the next day. And it's cheap! However, the place can get quite smoky, so it's best to bring minimal belongings and wear clothes that can be washed as it can get hot. I will definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal!

Located in a slightly hard-to-find spot at the back of the market, this shop offers recommended sets that are worth ordering. The first yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) was really delicious, with thickly cut tongue and a sauce that I loved. They also teach you how to cook it and how to apply the sauce, so even those who don't know how to cook can feel at ease. Overall, I thought the quality was high. It's no joke for Koenji to have this level of quality. I will definitely go again!

A hidden gem of a delicious yakiniku restaurant in Koenji! I was invited to Kokocho, a yakiniku restaurant in Koenji that is located in a very hard-to-find spot and has a small interior, but the food is incredibly delicious and I fell in love with the place! The omakase course is only 4,800 yen which is a steal. This time, we added some additional meats that caught our eye! The namul kimchi platter and the shrimp sashimi were already delicious! The shrimp is marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce and only the head is grilled, with the meat being tender and juicy. The beef tataki in yukhoe style was a favorite, especially when wrapped in Korean seaweed. The tongue with salt and the wagyu harami were so shiny and delicious, it was hard to believe they were served at this price point! The kalbi harami and wagyu harami were also excellent. The standout feature of Kokocho is their sauce! It's so delicious that I actually ordered rice for the first time in my life! The meat was of course delicious, but the richly flavored sauce really whets the appetite. The mino koriantan, which is a spicy Korean-style coriander sauce, was especially tasty. The only regret was that they ran out of rice! It would have been a perfect match. Recommended by a friend, I visited this restaurant located in a corner of a alley-like building. First of all, the staff was refreshing and good-looking, haha. This time, I opted for the chef's choice course. It started with namul and kimchi. The garlic was strong, but it wasn't too spicy. I really liked the yam kimchi! The seared yukhoe-style dish was also delicious, of course. The main meat dishes started with tongue, followed by loin and ribs, with various types of meat coming out one or two pieces at a time. They taught us how to properly cook and eat it. The sauce was refreshing and not too heavy, you could keep eating it endlessly. But somehow, you feel satisfied yet mysteriously full. I added cold noodles at the end. When we said we would share it, they served it in two separate dishes. It's those little things that make you happy, right? We ordered the chef's special course and added on from there. The course was fantastic! It allowed us to enjoy a variety of cuts, and we left feeling very satisfied. The kimchi served at the beginning was especially delicious! The Napa cabbage, garlic chives, yam, and perilla leaves were all excellent. And the shrimp sashimi, a rare find at a yakiniku restaurant, was amazing. The firm texture of the flesh followed by grilling the head was a nice touch. Every cut of meat we had was great. The sauce had a perfect balance of flavors that went well with rice, and we couldn't stop eating. Before we knew it, everything was gone (laughs). He is a bright and refreshing young man, creating a pleasant atmosphere throughout the establishment. On this day, I tried the following dishes: "Namul Assortment," "Kalbi," "Roast," "Wagyu Harami, Sagari," "Tongue with Salt," and "Fresh Hormone Assortment." The marbling of the meat was good, with a nice amount of fat. The Harami and Sagari were particularly flavorful, and the tongue was delicious with the salt sauce. The first time I experienced the feeling here was so shocking that the next day, whenever I got hungry, I found myself wanting to go back there. So I decided to go again. This time, I didn't go for the omakase, but chose a la carte. The dishes were so delicious that I got completely absorbed in eating and forgot to take photos. It was a shame they didn't have wagyu harami, so I definitely want to try it next time! The Pukkochu flavor might appeal to those who like spicy food. The atmosphere in the alleyway is nice, but it can get a bit hot during this season. I'd like to revisit in spring or autumn!

My wife saw it on Instagram and said it looked delicious, so we decided to challenge it as a couple! As others have mentioned, both of the staff members are very handsome, which can be a bit intimidating even for men, but they are incredibly kind and attentive. When my wife and I went to eat, they mainly focus on grilling, so there are hardly any photos. They brought us harami and loin, and each time they explained clearly and politely how to grill and eat them, and we enjoyed them deliciously. I thought that if you grill good meat, it will taste good, but the marinade they use enhances the flavor of the meat and allows you to enjoy the depth of the taste! I usually eat harami a lot, but the loin was surprisingly delicious. It's close to home, so we'll definitely go back!
