The underground area of Nijubashi Square is a somewhat hidden gem as it is not easily accessible, resulting in it not being too crowded most of the time. The place is new and clean. The restaurant has a decent amount of space for tables and chairs, although the seating may feel a bit cramped. The service is average. It is a Chinese-style izakaya with a good variety of dishes at reasonable prices, making it perfect for casual drinking with 5-6 people. The gyoza, their specialty, is delicious with plenty of juicy filling that tends to splatter when you bite into it. The wings are more for decoration, as the focus is on the meaty filling. Other dishes also have a good balance of ingredients and are reasonably priced, making it a good value for money. Overall, it is a reliable restaurant where you can order a variety of dishes and leave satisfied.

Today is the first day of autumn, but the scorching hot days continue. I decided to try the "Dalian Gyoza Base" at Nijubashi Square for lunch. I ordered the "Taiwanese Lu Rou Fan Set (1,290 yen)" and was seated at a shared round table. It's interesting to see a restaurant claiming to be a gyoza base also offering Taiwanese cuisine like Lu Rou Fan. The set seemed a bit overpriced, but the dish itself had an authentic flavor with a hint of star anise. However, the set felt a bit lacking in terms of portion size. This seems to be a common trend among the underground eateries in this area. (6/10)

The black vinegar pork set for lunch was really delicious, especially after changing the rice to fried rice. It cost 1400 yen, but the place wasn't too crowded in Marunouchi, and the food came out quickly and was tasty. I really liked it and want to try going there at night with friends next time. The specialty seems to be the gyoza with wings.

Chiyoda Line Nijubashi-mae Station. It's usually crowded during lunchtime due to being in an office district, but if you go around 12:45, you can usually get in without waiting. I recommend the mapo tofu set for 1200 yen. In China, when expressing spiciness, different characters are used depending on the type of spiciness, and this dish is exactly ma la (Sichuan pepper). You'll break a good sweat and feel motivated for the rest of the afternoon!

The oil-drizzled chicken lunch set is 1200 yen. The sweet and savory sauce is delicious. This restaurant seems to have really tasty rice. It's a normal price for a casual lunch in Marunouchi, but the taste is good. The chef is Chinese. There are many Chinese staff, and Chinese language is often heard. If you go after 12:30 pm, you can often get a seat easily. Even though there are empty seats, the staff sometimes take a while to seat you. When it gets busy, they often ask if you're okay with sharing a table, but it's normal for lunchtime, so they could seat customers more efficiently and increase turnover.

On Friday night, I made a reservation and visited the restaurant. It was about a 10-minute walk from Tokyo Station. My friend made the reservation because it was bonus season and we wanted to eat gyoza! We only reserved seats, so we ordered dishes a la carte. I chose the standard level of spiciness for the hot pot, and it was delicious. There are even spicier options available if you want to challenge yourself. The gyoza was also tasty. Thank you for the meal.

The grilled gyoza with cilantro didn't have a strong cilantro aroma, but the saliva chicken and super spicy mapo tofu were delicious! The cilantro-filled saliva chicken arrived quickly and paired perfectly with mango beer. The mapo tofu was spicy and addictive! It was also great to change up the flavor by pouring it over fried rice.

I often use this restaurant in Marunouchi for both lunch and dinner. They have a great selection of dishes at both times. At night, they offer Mega Highball which is very reasonably priced. During lunch, there are plenty of menu options available. Today, I had the fried rice and ramen set which came with spring rolls and salad, making it a great deal. I also ordered water dumplings, so the total came to around 1500 yen. It would be even better if they had tantanmen and pan-fried dumplings together. Also, if you try the minced pork rice or the five-ingredient yakisoba, the rating might change...

I am starting to realize that the restaurant area in the office building complex near Tokyo Station's Yurakucho Station West Exit does not completely close on weekends. With the recent influx of foreign tourists, I wanted to avoid the hustle and bustle of Ginza and decided to explore the more quiet building area. I ended up in an underground restaurant where only one Chinese restaurant called "Dalian Gyoza Base" was open on that day. I ordered the "Gomoku Chahan Ramen Set" and was disappointed to find that the ramen portion was small. The food was lukewarm and the spring rolls were also not satisfying. While eating, I couldn't help but think about the complex relationship dynamics between the Chinese kitchen staff and the Japanese waitresses. The ceiling was lined with aluminum air conditioning ducts, reminding me of a ramen shop in Higashi-Jujo where a kind person once served me. As I reminisced, I thought about how French films have evolved over time, hoping to see a movie that surpasses "Emmanuelle" soon. However, I believe it will require a talented actress to emerge, possibly even surpassing the iconic "Cristel" character.

Before going to see the cherry blossoms at the Imperial Palace, I visited this restaurant. It didn't seem too busy on a weekday, but there were some order mistakes made by the staff, and the dumplings were a bit too firm, which was disappointing. - Seafood ramen with plenty of vegetables. - Delicious Da Lian style pan-fried dumplings with a chewy skin and juicy filling. Thank you for the meal.

At lunchtime, I was drawn into the restaurant by a photo of a red soup. The menu described it as "a sour and spicy Szechuan-style soup with the addition of tomato umami. The gentle acidity of domestic brown rice black vinegar and organic tomatoes stimulates the appetite." The actual soup was not as red as in the photo, and the taste of tomato was not very strong, but the sourness, spiciness, and thick umami made it very appetizing. As someone sensitive to spicy food, I noticed sweat starting to form on my forehead and the top of my head after just three bites. The ingredients included sliced shrimp, baby scallops, thinly sliced bamboo shoots, tofu, wood ear mushrooms, green onions, and egg, making it very diverse. The price was a bit high at 1180 yen for just the soup without any extras like spring rolls. They also offered a dumpling set for 1000 yen.

☆Recommended Points☆ ① Special dumplings made with special skins and fresh ingredients that the restaurant boasts of ② Directly connected to the underground in the Otemachi area, providing a safe option even on rainy days [Recommended Usage Scene] Friends gathering/Drinks with friends [1st Picture] "Crunchy-winged Dalian-style Dumplings (759 yen/7 pieces)" The photo shows 8 pieces. These are the famous "Dalian-style Dumplings". The skins are made from carefully selected domestic wheat, with the moisture content adjusted depending on the temperature. The skins made on the day are used up within the day, showing the uncompromising attitude towards freshness. The filling contains pork from Kagoshima Prefecture and a small amount of chives, without using garlic intentionally. Despite that, it has a strong umami flavor, thanks to the carefully selected ingredients. It's satisfying to eat a lot without worrying the next day. It's recommended to eat them with vinegar and pepper. [2nd Picture] "Shrimp and Coriander Shrimp Miso Fried Rice (1,199 yen)" The photo shows a portion for two. I chose this item from the fried rice menu. The abundant shrimp and coriander on top give an ethnic flavor to the fried rice. The moment it was brought to the table, the pleasant aroma filled the air. However, it was slightly moist, and a bit more crispy texture would have been better. Also, the seasoning lacked impact. It could have been more exotic in flavor. [3rd Picture] "Spicy Sichuan Mapo Tofu (1,298 yen)" This Mapo Tofu looked very spicy when served hot. It's said to use plenty of Sichuan spices, but it also contains a good amount of oil and nuts, making the spiciness surprisingly mild. The dish had many ingredients and the authentic taste of Mapo Tofu. Personally, I would have preferred it to be spicier. [4th Picture] "Cilantro Water Dumplings (638 yen/5 pieces)" The photo shows 8 pieces of water dumplings. I ordered the water dumplings with cilantro. The vivid green water dumplings have a pleasant cilantro aroma that spreads as soon as you put them in your mouth. Although the fried dumplings are delicious, I personally prefer the water dumplings at this restaurant. [5th Picture] "Tender Char Siu (979 yen)" This neatly arranged Char Siu is indeed very tender, as the menu name suggests, easily cut with chopsticks. It has a slightly sweet, salty flavor that is addictive. [6th-7th Picture] "Melt-in-your-mouth Custard Sesame Dumplings (693 yen/2 pieces)" For dessert, I tried these unique sesame dumplings. Inside the crispy skin is a creamy custard, giving it a Western dessert-like feel. It feels a bit lighter than the usual red bean paste dumplings, making it a good choice when you want to eat dumplings but don't have much room left in your stomach. [Summary] Located in the B1 floor of the commercial facility "Nijubashi Square," directly connected to Nijubashi-mae Station, and also accessible from the Otemachi and Hibiya areas, is the "Dalian Dumpling Base DALIAN Nijubashi Square" restaurant. "Dalian Dumpling Base DALIAN" is a chain restaurant with locations in Roppongi, Azabu-Juban, Shibuya, Yokohama, and Fukuoka. I visited on a weekday at 7:30 pm with a reservation. The restaurant had only about two groups at the time, not too crowded, but it tends to get busier as the night goes on due to its direct connection to office buildings. Reservations are especially necessary on Fridays. While there was nothing particularly outstanding, there were no negatives either. If you're looking for a safe option to enjoy Chinese cuisine, this place is worth considering.

The shrimp salt ramen costs ¥1353, which is already expensive, but it became even more expensive when ordered as a single item! The staff didn't say anything and were not friendly. The taste is good, but the service is bad. During lunchtime, they don't even offer rice as a service. What's the point of a salad in a ramen set? This place is really expensive, with bad service. I've been to many ramen shops, but this is the first time I've experienced such poor service. I never want to go back to this place again!

I made a reservation for Saturday at 7:00 pm and entered the restaurant. I ordered the grilled and boiled dumplings that I was looking forward to. The dumplings had a chewy skin, and the boiled dumplings had a bouncy texture that was delicious! The fried rice was also delicious. The staff came at just the right time to ask if we wanted to order more, and they also cleared our plates, providing excellent service that was very impressive. Next time, I will go to try the hot pot!

Yes, it's time for revenge after a terrible dining experience at Roppongi Kaifuen. I need to go to a place that can make the same menu deliciously and eat it to ease my mind. At this restaurant, the Ma Po Tofu is a dish that brings peace to my heart. The tofu is coated in a spicy and hot Ma Po sauce, and the chicken and cashew nut stir-fry is just right - the cashews are perfectly fried and fragrant, adding sweetness to the dish. The vegetables and meat are well-cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. I am satisfied, everything is delicious as it should be.

The work site is all over the place, so it seems like we won't have many chances to meet in the future, so let's go out for a meal after a long time! I was at Nijubashi Station, so I thought, why not try the hot pot at the restaurant directly connected to the station in this hot weather! I challenged myself with the normal level of spiciness and it was delicious! The pork bone soup was also delicious, and we could eat plenty of vegetables and forget about the meat shabu-shabu. However, when I tried the meat, it was also delicious and went well with the soup! It warms up your insides, so even though we tend to have cold drinks and a lot of food during this season, the hot pot was the best choice. I didn't know how much noodles to order for the finishing touch, so when I asked the staff, they said a small portion, but when we ordered two servings, it was too much and we ended up leaving some. I think it's better to order the finishing touch little by little. But it was delicious. I would like to go again.

In conclusion, the "Mokomichi" (°∀°) ramen was just okay. The cold black sesame tantanmen, tax included, was priced at 1133 yen, which is a bit high for the portion size. On the other hand, the "Rich Cold Tantanmen" with a red curtain at Marunouchi Building is less than 1000 yen and has a generous portion size, and most importantly, it's delicious. The ramen I had here was lacking in volume and was a bit overpriced for a weekday lunch, leading to low satisfaction. The taste was average, nothing special. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order it again. I arrived after 1 pm, and the service was a bit slow. They didn't provide paper aprons, even though I was wearing black clothes. The only thing that matched the Marunouchi price was the price itself. Everything else...oh, the cashier was friendly at least. It's disappointing when the highlight of your day is eating, but the office lunch experience here was a letdown. Should have gone to a friendlier place nearby. Hmmm...

I visited during lunchtime. I had the Sichuan sesame noodles set and for dessert, I had custard sesame dumplings. The hot Sichuan noodles had a nice vinegar kick and were delicious. The custard sesame dumplings were moist and tasty. It was crowded during lunchtime because it's in an office area. They seated me at a round table, so I could relax (social distance?). I would like to go back when I'm in the area again.

I visited for lunch on my day off. Today, with the temperature a bit high, I was in the mood for dumplings and beer! From the lunch menu, I ordered the Water Dumpling Set for 980 yen, and separately the Pan-Fried Dumplings for 726 yen and a glass of beer for 528 yen. The pan-fried dumplings had a crispy and light texture. If you bite into them too hard, the juices might splash, so it's best to eat them in one bite. The lightly wrapped filling in thin skin was juicy and delicious even without any sauce. The water dumplings had a chewy skin texture that I enjoyed. I realized that the way dumplings are cooked, whether fried or boiled, makes a big difference in the taste. It's interesting! However, eating only dumplings might get a bit boring after a while. I tried different condiments for flavor variation. The combination of black pepper and vinegar was refreshing. The soft rice was too much for me to finish. It might have been better to just order the water dumplings and pan-fried dumplings separately.

Boiled beef with chili oil for 1298 yen: A disappointing menu. The beef chunks were cooked until tender in a spicy broth, but the flavor was lacking and overwhelmed by the excessive chili oil. It tasted too salty and the dish was a letdown. Special Taiwanese Mazesoba for 1089 yen: Another disappointment. The noodles were dry and lacked flavor, with an unpleasant raw egg yolk taste. The toppings like crispy flakes didn't blend well, resulting in a dish with a confusing mix of flavors. Adding vinegar helped improve the taste slightly. Shrimp and chive dumplings for 704 yen: I forgot to take a photo, but it was a disappointment. The dumplings tasted like plain chives, lacking any distinct flavor. Pan-fried dumplings for 726 yen: The filling was generous, but the excessive chili oil ruined the dish. It was hard to taste the overall flavor due to the overwhelming oil. Shrimp Ramen: Delicious and satisfying. Compared to the other dishes, the saltiness level was just right.

On a regular day, just past 12:30, I went to the Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum to fill my stomach before heading in. It's common now to have temperature checks and hand sanitizing at the entrance. I wanted to eat gyoza, soup noodles, and fried rice, but this combination is too much for one person. So, I decided to go with the signature dish, gyoza. I ordered gyoza without beer, and it came with white rice. It was my first time making this choice. The gyoza had beautiful wings, crispy and chewy, and delicious! The egg soup and rice were also tasty, but gyoza definitely goes better with beer than soup. Too bad.
