I heard that it is affiliated with the popular izakaya Tsumugidou in Shinjuku. All dishes are made in the store, so you can enjoy them freshly cooked at the best temperature. Since it is a counter kitchen, you can see everything being prepared, making it enjoyable to watch. The staff first brought a lot of chopstick rests and you could choose your favorite one, showing their playful side. 【Atmosphere】The restaurant has a clean and calm atmosphere with orange lighting. There are table seats, private rooms, box seats, and a counter, so it can be used for various purposes. Personally, I recommend the counter seats where you can see the kitchen and feel the lively atmosphere. There are also completely private tatami rooms for those who want to enjoy in a private space. 【Food】◯Appetizer It was a cold tomato soup. It was mild with a balanced acidity that allowed you to enjoy the tomato flavor. The soup was light and perfect for this season. ◯Zucchini Grilled cheese topping 700 yen The zucchini was grilled carefully, leaving it soft and juicy with a slight moisture. The grilling was done perfectly, making it tender and slightly melted. It is topped with olive oil and cheese. Although it is a simple dish, the combination of the cheese richness, zucchini sweetness, and black pepper was excellent. ◯Club Potato Salad 680 yen You can choose from pickled radish, shredded Japanese pepper, or smoked herring. This time, I chose pickled radish. The potato salad is made after ordering, so it is warm. I could see that it is a popular menu by the way they kept making it repeatedly. The potato salad uses boiled eggs in addition to potatoes, giving it a smooth and mild taste. The texture of the pickled radish was enjoyable and exquisite. ◯Thick-cut beef tongue 1480 yen This luxurious dish features thick-cut beef tongue. It was grilled to a slightly rare doneness, with a perfect grilling level. The outside was slightly crispy, while the inside was rare, tender, and juicy. It filled my mouth with meat juice. It comes with wasabi, salt, and green chili miso, so you can enjoy it according to your preference. ◯Serious Fried Horse Mackerel 1280 yen The fried horse mackerel was excellent and my favorite today. The thick mackerel was so fresh that it could be eaten as sashimi. It was cooked rare, as the preheating would cook it quickly, so I was advised to eat it quickly. The batter was thin and crispy, with a good texture. It was refreshing with soy sauce containing ginger. A dish I would definitely order again next time. ◯Seared cured mackerel stick sushi 380 yen The thick cured mackerel and the sushi rice were authentic and very delicious. I was impressed by the thick cured mackerel, which I had never seen before. It was fun to have it served on a large spoon. 【Drinks】The drink menu is extensive, so you can't go wrong if you like alcohol. There is a wide selection of alcoholic beverages as well as soft drinks. Rather than specializing in something specific, the overall impression is that the lineup is well-stocked, so I thought that even if you have different tastes in alcohol, you can enjoy it with others. 【Service】All staff members have a cheerful and energetic impression. They have a lively and clear voice. Their explanations were detailed, and they frequently checked on us, making the whole experience pleasant. With a clean interior, pleasant service, a wide selection of drinks, and delicious homemade dishes, I would like to come back when I'm looking for an izakaya in the Shinjuku area.
