A trendy sushi restaurant with a great atmosphere, high cost performance, and high-quality sushi. Operated by the company Toshizaki, led by Ryuta Shiozaki, Sushi Risaki opened its first store in Okushibuya in July 2019. The founders of Sushi Risaki are Mr. Shiozaki and Mr. Mogi. The name of the restaurant comes from the "Ri" of Mogi and the "Saki" of Shiozaki, combining the two to name it "Sushi Risaki." Initially, the two head chefs ran the restaurant together and quickly became a popular spot. Shiozaki trained at "Rinda" in Meguro, while Mogi trained at "Sushi Sachi" in Jiyugaoka. Mogi continues to lead Sushi Risaki, while Shiozaki has taken on a managerial role and is not currently on-site. The head chef in Ebisu is Naoki Shiotani. Shiotani learned the basics of Japanese cuisine at "Kikunoi Honten" in Kyoto and gained experience in French cuisine at "Tsubaki" in Nishi-Azabu. This restaurant opened on November 1, 2021. It is located about 2 minutes' walk from Ebisu Station, heading northeast from the Ebisu Station intersection along Route 416 for about 100 meters, with the restaurant on the left. The operating hours are 18:00-20:30 and 20:30-23:00 (two sessions, each 2 hours and 30 minutes). The restaurant is closed irregularly. There are 10 counter seats only. Reservations can be made by phone or online through Tabelog. There is only one omakase course available. The owner visits Tsukiji Market every morning to select fresh fish. Wasabi from Shizuoka produced by Koichi Tashiro is used. Two types of rice, "Tohoku 194" and "Emi no Kizuna," are blended and used. The omakase course consists of a total of 18 items. While the price of the course has increased since the opening, it offers great value for money that cannot be found at other restaurants, and the stylish black interior makes it a convenient place to dine. I visited the restaurant on the same day with a reservation. It is located on the 3rd floor of a mixed-use building, and you have to climb a narrow staircase. When I entered, it was crowded. The taste was good with some delicious dishes and some not so great ones. The appetizers were limited, but overall, there was plenty of food, and I was full. What's amazing is the cost performance, around 15,000 yen per person, which is very satisfying.

Recommended by my Japanese friend, I had the chance to try Edo-style sushi for the first time during my recent trip to Tokyo. The flavors were amazing, with rich broth and overall satisfying experience. I definitely want to visit again on my next trip to Tokyo.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Ebisu Station, this restaurant offers high-quality sushi with a great atmosphere and cost performance. It is a calm space where women can easily dine together. While the appetizers are limited, the overall quantity is sufficient, making it a very satisfying counter sushi restaurant at this price point. The alcohol goes well with the sushi, and even with extra orders, the total bill stays within 20,000 yen per person. The head chef is very polite, making it a place worth visiting again.

When you climb up the narrow staircase, you will find a dark interior with only a counter in the shop. While it is said that reservations are nearly impossible to get at the Yoyogi branch, this location has a counter with 11 seats, so you might be able to make a reservation even on the same day if you are dining alone. I had a very delicious sushi meal, thank you for the feast.

The sushi was very delicious. The fish was fresh, especially the squid and medium fatty tuna, which were tender and sweet. They have 13 types of sake to pair with the sushi, and the three types recommended by the chef were all delicious. The quiet atmosphere makes it suitable for girls' night out or a date. By the way, the chef is very cool. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

Located a little further from Ebisu towards Shibuya Bridge, on the second floor of a mixed-use building. The interior is calm with a black color scheme, creating a nice contrast with the building's exterior. This branch is part of the popular Okushibu restaurant chain, with locations in Aoyama, Ebisu, and the newly opened Nishi-Azabu in May. The Ebisu branch offers the most casual dining experience with an omakase course priced at 12,100 yen. The cost performance is high. The menu includes dishes like firefly squid chawanmushi, red snapper and bamboo shoot soup, scallop with seaweed, and cherry leaf-wrapped sea bream sushi. The sushi selection is diverse and well-balanced, with highlights such as squid sushi with a crunchy texture and strong mineral flavor, and sardine sushi with a perfect balance of oiliness and acidity. The pace of the meal is good, with a good balance of appetizers and sushi, making it a satisfying course. Adding four extra pieces of sushi after the cherry leaf sushi, the total bill including drinks comes to a wallet-friendly 15,000 yen.

The course was incredibly delicious! The building may be hard to find, but the interior is stylish and perfect for a date! The sushi with akami, chutoro, nodoguro, shrimp, kasago, and bafun uni was all delicious! The abalone with crab miso was also amazing!

I have only been to 6 sushi restaurants so far, but this one is my favorite. The hotaruika chawanmushi, akami tuna, medium-fatty tuna, abalone liver sauce, and shari nodoguro seared with binchotan are especially delicious. The young chef is friendly and makes the sushi experience enjoyable. The menu includes hotaruika chawanmushi, tofu crab ankake, sakuramasu, straw-smoked soy sauce-soaked managatsuo, yu-an grilled karei with sakura leaves, sumiika, trigaigai, ika, abalone liver sauce, and shari takenoko charcoal-grilled tuna akami, tuna chutoro, shima sweet shrimp, clams in red dashi, nodoguro seared with binchotan, horse dung uni gunkan, anago, tamagoyaki, and additional toro and dried gourd roll.

Recently opened trendy sushi restaurant in the Risaki Group! I casually made a reservation here with a girl who had never been to a non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant before. The food exceeded my expectations and I was pleasantly surprised! The rice was the same quality as the main restaurant, so it felt very reliable. I think it's much better than paying over 20,000 yen at other places around here, and watching the young chefs work so hard was enjoyable in itself. I also introduced my younger brother to this place and he was very happy with the experience! I think it's a shame to waste such a great restaurant on someone's sushi debut!

I visited the up-and-coming sushi restaurant "Risaki" in Okushibuya, and the sushi I had at the main store was truly delicious, so I decided to stop by the Ebisu branch. While reservations at the main store require waiting for over six months, I was able to secure a table at the Ebisu branch with just a one-week advance booking. Despite being located in a somewhat questionable building, once inside, the sophisticated atmosphere of the restaurant exudes luxury. The omakase course was excellent, and the sake complemented it perfectly. The head chef at the Ebisu branch is only 25 years old, and I believe this restaurant has a promising future ahead.

The atmosphere is dark and perfect for a date. Starting with sakuraba tai, followed by iwashi, simmered clams, and more, the hidden knife work was superb, and the flavors melted in the mouth. Four appetizers were served, all delicious, making me want to try more. The quality at this price point was impressive. The generous chef's attentive service throughout left me very satisfied.

I used to come here once a month, but it's been a while since I last visited. The food is still delicious, just like it used to be. Despite the increase in course prices, the cost performance is still high compared to other restaurants in the same price range. The menu now includes small dishes in addition to sushi, which was the main focus before. This change actually increased my satisfaction this time. While I used to enjoy the solid and cold shari (sushi rice) which was a unique feature, it has now become softer and warmer. I preferred the previous style of shari, but I understand the change. Overall, I still had a great time and enjoyed the delicious food, so I would like to come back again.

A fantastic restaurant where you can enjoy incredibly delicious tuna! The sushi is truly delicious and pairs perfectly with tasty sake. They also have white wine that goes well with the sushi, and I ended up drinking a lot. Every piece of sushi was delicious, but the striped jack and tuna were exceptional! I made a reservation and went to this place. ・Steamed crab in a tea cup ・Shirako (cod milt) ・Soft-boiled octopus ・Kasugo sea bream ・Snow salted sumiika ・Kanburi (winter yellowtail) from Himi ・Sardine ・Boiled clams ・Ankimo (monkfish liver) ・Sawara (Spanish mackerel) with turnips ・Tuna ・Kohada (gizzard shad) ・Shrimp ・Sea urchin ・Anago (conger eel) ・Castella egg. Everything was delicious! The best ones were the sumiika and kanburi ^_^

I had visited the main store of Toshizaki a few times before, but this was my first visit to their third store in Ebisu. It is located in a mixed-use building about a 5-minute walk from Ebisu Station, with a stylish black-themed interior resembling a bar. I was treated to a meal, so I didn't know the price, but I thought it would be around 20,000 yen for a normal sushi course, but it turned out to be 11,000 yen, which I found to be very reasonable for the quality. I visited in December, so the meal started with seasonal kawahagi and shirako, followed by 3 appetizers and 13 pieces of nigiri. Each piece of nigiri was carefully crafted, with a gentle vinegar-infused shari that melts in your mouth. There were 2 pieces of Oma tuna, as well as uni. The hoshigaki roll was handed to me directly. Personally, I found the sardine and sweet shrimp to be particularly delicious. Reasonably priced and delicious sushi. The first piece of spring child sea bream with kelp was excellent, raising expectations. The second piece of white squid was captivating. The medium fatty tuna at the end was incredibly flavorful with a great amount of fat. Opting for just the nigiri was the right choice (originally it was only a nigiri course, but they increased the price and now offer a regular omakase course with appetizers as well). Even with the price increase, the total bill was 13,000 yen. I've been to all the branches of Toshizaki, and each one has a different price setting and atmosphere, making it easy to choose depending on the occasion. The Ebisu branch has a dark interior with black walls and a few flowers, making it feel like a stylish bar. While I prefer the sushi itself at the main Shibuya branch, in terms of availability and cost performance, I would recommend the Ebisu branch as well. Thank you for the meal!
