After the renovation, it was my first time visiting, so I was worried it might be crowded. I intended to arrive early, but it didn't go as smoothly as planned, and I ended up getting there at 10:20. On a weekday at 10:20, I was fifth in line in front of the escalator at KITTE. It's hard to tell how many people were waiting as most seemed to be meeting someone. Just before 11:00, a security guard led us up the escalator. I assume it was to prevent any accidents from people rushing ahead. Most of the people seemed to be heading to the same place I was. The restaurant seemed to have added more counter seats after the renovation. The table with a nice view in the back was gone, and the divided kitchen was now consolidated into one. There were a few tables on the left and right sides, with the counter twisting and turning. It seemed narrow, so I guess each lane had its own server for serving dishes. I ordered my usual menu, but the paper for ordering had been renewed. And when I handed it over, they scanned it to share the order with the kitchen! I wonder how it works - do they send a photo? What happens if it's illegible? Haha. The seasonal and limited menu items were 'Flower Crab Gunkan', 'Uni Wraps', 'Seared Tuna Cheek', 'Fried Wakame', and 'Striped Shrimp Nigiri'. I took photos of the rare and expensive ones. Well, all of them were delicious. And not even expensive. Also, the guy in charge of our lane was handsome and polite. I enjoyed his service. There were some menu items that weren't ready yet, but that's okay. The fried wakame was unusual but tasty. And the seared tuna cheek was so fatty, almost like meat. The uni was delicious, as well as the flower crab and striped shrimp. I also love the octopus and squid ink gunkan. The tsuntsun roll is always a nice little treat. I've known for a while that everything here is delicious. However, the service was a bit slow, and I ended up staying for about an hour. The payment process seemed to be a challenge too, as there was a line. It's only been about 10 days since the renovation, so it's understandable. I'd like to visit at night sometime, but I wonder if that will be possible... Haha.
