[July 2019 Revisit] When it comes to pork offal in Kansai, this is the place to go. I have been coming here regularly in search of the finest offal (^_^) This time, we originally planned to visit with 4 people, but one person suddenly fell ill and had to retire. So, we ended up visiting with 3 people. Despite the name being "Buta Kin" (Pork Gold), the master recommended, "Our chicken is the best." Trusting his words, we ordered a platter of chicken sashimi. And of course, we couldn't miss the offal mix, but I didn't realize until now that there were 2 types (^_^;) Initially, we ordered the regular daily mix, but later added the master's special mix. We only ordered heart for the grilled dish. One of the participants is not a big fan of offal or chicken, but we ordered cold noodles and kimchi for that person. We also had Hoppy, which is not commonly found in Kansai, so it was a pleasant surprise. And it was Shari Kin~^m^ ・Kimchi 300 yen Just a delicious cabbage kimchi, not too spicy. ・Daily 8-piece offal mix 2000 yen ・Master's special offal mix 2000 yen The offal mix comes in two types, "daily" and "master's special." This time, we ended up comparing both. It was my first time trying the daily mix. We got slices of liver, tongue, and heart, each in sets of 3 pieces per person (^_^) Just when I thought it was delicious, the master's special mix took it to a whole new level. The glossy appearance was on a completely different level. They use different parts even for the same tongue. If you want to enjoy the pure offal flavors, I highly recommend the master's special mix over the daily mix. ・Chicken sashimi platter The chicken was from Tajima, I believe? A platter of gizzard, heart, liver, and breast meat (maybe chicken tenderloin) (^_^) This time, I made sure to reserve the items by phone, but it seems like they are becoming more regular menu items lately. This sashimi platter is incredibly fresh with no cloudiness in flavor. In addition to the unique chicken flavors, the liver and gizzard also have a hint of sweetness. Even for those who don't like raw food, this platter might be enjoyable due to its lack of strong flavors and abundance of umami. ・Heart and aorta *Price unknown My favorite grilled dish here. It's cut around the great artery and its base, creating an interesting contrast in texture (^_^) The quality is outstanding, and being able to do this kind of taste comparison is the charm of this restaurant. Of course, the aorta side is excellent as well. ・Cold noodles 900 yen The noodles are smooth with a firm and bouncy texture. The soup seems to be derived from beef bones, but I don't remember them handling beef (^_^;) Taste-wise, it's a relatively traditional cold noodle dish. Perfect for finishing off the meal. ---------------------------------------- [In conclusion] Indulging in premium pork offal with Hoppy is pure bliss. There aren't many restaurants in Tokyo at this level (^_^) I've been coming here many times, and I will definitely continue to do so in the future. Once again, I was completely satisfied with today's meal. The bill today averaged about 5000 yen per person. Thank you for the delicious meal.
