Despite being a bar, it has a perfect atmosphere where you can linger from the first drink to the last one. The variety of dishes is rich. The Yaochou Curry has a natural sweetness that brings out the spices, reminiscent of the Navy Curry in Hiroshima. According to the master, the secret ingredient is mango chutney.

It was a scorching summer, but no matter how hot it gets, there's always something enticing about a BBQ. So, I was invited to a BBQ for a small summer gathering, right in Roppongi on Stars and Stripes Street. The place was set up for BBQ right at the storefront, with a wooden deck that almost felt like an open-air bar by the poolside. Despite being in Roppongi, Stars and Stripes Street isn't very crowded, so it worked out well. The ventilation was great, which was perfect for those who wanted to drink and socialize during the pandemic. As we fired up the BBQ on a still-sweltering day, we grilled a variety of ingredients and enjoyed cold beers. Grilling summer vegetables, satsuma-age, tandoori chicken wrapped in tortillas, and a huge hot dog made with a baguette - the food just kept coming. It was a relief that there wasn't too much smoke. The cheese-stuffed peppers turned out deliciously gooey, a real highlight of BBQ. We also grilled some beef loin for steak-like bites, which paired perfectly with highballs. It was a fun and relaxed two-hour BBQ session for our small group. I don't usually have BBQs, but this limited-time experience in a calm atmosphere was perfect for a summer gathering.

Enjoy a BBQ right in the heart of the city. In addition to grilling ingredients, they also offer Tandoori-flavored chicken and cheese-stuffed bell peppers. It's delicious and enjoyable.

It's fun to go with everyone. It's reasonably priced, but for course meals, a little more quantity may be desired.

We had a private BBQ party for the company's birthday celebration. The location was somewhere between Roppongi and Nogizaka, closer to Nogizaka. It was a bit chilly today, but the fire and drinks kept us warm. We had an all-you-can-drink option and enjoyed salad, bacon, chicken skewers, and giant sausages wrapped in French bread. The food had good portions and we had a great time celebrating together. Thank you for the meal.

In October, I received a message from my friends about a drinking party. They suggested having BBQ at a place on Stars and Stripes Street. I wasn't sure at first, but when I checked the restaurant's website, I saw the slogan "BBQ in the heart of Tokyo" - apparently, they do BBQ all year round. I used to wander around this area a lot during my student days, but now it's almost unrecognizable. On a weekday night in October, I visited the dining bar located on Stars and Stripes Street. The outdoor area has a wooden deck where they grill BBQ on two stoves. Right in front of me is the Stars and Stripes newspaper, a newspaper for US Department of Defense personnel. It's a bit of a lonely sight. The course for the evening was an all-you-can-drink BBQ course for 4,980 yen (including 2.5 hours of all-you-can-drink). We started with a toast inside the restaurant with beer. The all-you-can-drink options included beer, wine (red/white), shochu (barley/sweet potato), cocktails, bourbon/whiskey, and soft drinks. The staff was friendly and quick with serving drinks! We then moved outside to start the BBQ. The first dish was "cucumber and tomato marinated in miso". For grilled items, we had "processed fish cakes, hanpen" I believe. Next came a variety of "grilled vegetables" (pumpkin, lotus root, zucchini, bell pepper, baby corn, shiitake) with various sauces (salsa, anchovy mayonnaise, basil, BBQ mustard, yuzu pepper, aurora). This was followed by "grilled mackerel" and sausages. Be careful not to burn them! The "spicy tandoori chicken and shishito pepper skewers" were served on skewers and wrapped in tortillas. It went really well with alcohol. Then we had a whole piece of bacon, grilled until crispy and cut into dice. Next was "grilled stuffed bell peppers with cheese" - the peppers were filled with cheese. The combination of sweet pepper and salty cheese was quite enjoyable. Lastly, we had beef, I'm not sure which cut, but meat is always a hit at BBQs. It was getting a bit chilly outside, but the hot dishes kept us warm. With 9 dishes included in the BBQ course, both men and women enjoyed the unique menu items. However, if you're craving carbs, head over to Kaotan Ramen Entotsuya Minami Aoyama, as they're open until 5 am and you can even have BBQ late at night.

Theme was "adult (BBQ)", but let's put aside the question of what makes it adult. How convenient it is to be able to do BBQ here in the middle of the city, even after work! This place, "Yaocho-Bar", is located along the Stars and Stripes Street, different from the branch along Roppongi Street, so be careful! The guys are already here and starting to drink beer. Yeah, that's the privilege of those who arrived first, right? But since it's all-you-can-drink, the wine options are cheap (probably Australian white and Chilean red), so I reluctantly drink while trying to distract myself, and end up being in charge of grilling with the help of the organizer. There are six types of sauce available! Thick slices of pork bacon came out, and then another huge chunk of meat! Just put it on the grill and cook it up! Oh, and you can also bring your own food, and a considerate person brought "farmer's bacon", so we grill that too! The cutting is also bold and hearty, with scissors! Here, everyone, eat from the cut pieces! Chicken skewers and pumpkin rice cakes are left over quite a bit. Then, frozen garlic buns for everyone to eat? Enter! This seems to be quite popular. The inside of the restaurant is a bit shaky, but it looks like this (see photo). And somehow, a completely unrelated customer was eating curry rice from the grand menu, which looked delicious, so I took a picture. What an annoying customer, right? After eating and drinking for a while, we head to the karaoke bar on the same street. There are surprisingly many karaoke bars along this Stars and Stripes Street, so I've been going there quite often recently.

Located away from the hustle and bustle of Roppongi, there is a bar called Yaocho Bar where you can have a barbecue outside! Even though it's in the office district, being able to grill meat outside was a pleasant surprise. As a meat lover, I particularly enjoyed the sausages. While it may seem like a lively festival atmosphere, you can also relax and enjoy drinks with a loved one in the evening. Despite its name, it has a cool Western vibe. If you want to escape the chaos of Roppongi and unwind, it's worth checking out. You can easily enter without any pretentiousness. Visit their homepage at http://www.yaocho-bar.jp.

Recently, my favorite shop has a sister store. The best thing about this place is the staff. They have a good sense of distance. They seem to be joking around (including their appearance), but they still take care of you properly. They are kind and helpful even to someone like me who is not used to going to bars. Of course, that should be a given, but sometimes it's not done, or bars can be intimidating. The casual atmosphere is good. The food is also delicious, with a French influence. They even offer BBQ on the terrace, so they say to come empty-handed. I'll gather some friends and go there next time!

Nishiazabu is a bar located in the middle of Stars and Stripes Street. They have a good selection of drinks and the atmosphere is somewhat cafe-like, making it a bit more casual. The interior is unified with dark brown wood, giving off a cozy and homely vibe. They recommend light-tasting drinks like seasonal mojitos, perfect for a late-night drink and a light meal to satisfy your hunger. It's a great place to relax and chat with friends over drinks.

Located in Nishi-Azabu, on the Stars and Stripes Street, this bar is designed in a trendy Hawaiian tropical style that was popular 30 years ago. It has a terrace facing the street, making it easy to enter. The interior has a few local regulars, and the male staff members wear aloha shirts, adding to the tropical atmosphere. They are very friendly and approachable. Known for their fruit cocktails, we tried the Frozen Passion Fruit Margarita for 1,500 yen and the Kyoho Grape Cocktail for 1,500 yen. Both were made with fresh fruits and tasted delicious. Occasionally, the smell of curry and other appetizing dishes wafts through the restaurant. Next time, we might try their food as well. Relaxing with tropical drinks in hand, the laid-back atmosphere is just perfect.

This is a bar located on the Stars and Stripes Street in Nishi-Azabu. It's the kind of place you would visit as your second or third stop. The interior has a few tables and a counter. When I visited, the counter was almost full with staff and regular customers. Some bars like this don't offer food, but this one has a pretty good selection. I particularly liked the Tortilla, which is a simple dish of avocado dip with tuna wrapped in thin bread. It's not fancy, but the bread is firm and the flavors of avocado and tuna are pleasant. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. It's no wonder there are many regular customers here.

There is a yaocho-bar☆ located around the middle of Stars and Stripes Street. I often use it when I get hungry late at night, and the food here is delicious. It feels like homemade cooking. I often eat curry here. Even if you order something random, they will make something for you, so it's very convenient. They also have fresh fruit cocktails and a good selection of rum. It's a nice place in Nishi-Azabu where you can drop by without any pretense. The store is open until the first train, so you can have a leisurely chat.
