On Mother's Day, May 14th (Sunday), I had lunch with my mother at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, and then we took a stroll to the nearby Imperial Hotel's Gargantua. We decided to visit a restaurant we've been to before to make my mother feel more at ease. The cakes next door can sometimes be hit or miss, but the deli and bread are always delicious!! (Separating cakes, deli bread, and gift items is a hassle, but I don't like it...) Everything was empty on Mother's Day, so we were able to enter the store in about 30 seconds. We glanced at the bread and headed to the deli section! We bought dinner. Since we were full from lunch, we opted for the scallop gratin with noodles for 1,382 yen each, salmon marinated salad for 1,296 yen, sausage croissant (forgot the name) for 860 yen each, pineapple brioche for 750 yen, and macadamia nut petit bread (5 pieces) for 700 yen, totaling 7,230 yen. I was torn between shrimp and scallops for the gratin, but I'm glad I chose scallops! It had plenty of scallops and the right amount of milk and noodles. The marinated salmon was served on top of the salad. The seasoning was great. The sausage croissant bread was for breakfast. It had mashed potatoes on top! The sausage was also delicious! The pineapple brioche was shared with my mother. We heated it on the grill, slightly toasted the edges, cut it, and ate it. It was so delicious! I will definitely buy it again (laughs). I put the macadamia nut petit bread in the freezer because I couldn't eat it right away. I tend to buy a lot, but this time I restrained myself (laughs). It's not cheap, but if it's this delicious, it's worth it. We don't go there often, and my mother enjoyed it, so it's all good! Thank you for the meal!
