Company drinking party. It seems to be a super long-established store that has been in business for over 130 years. On this day, we indulged in a luxurious sukiyaki course for 14,500 yen called "Matsuki." The meal included various types of alcohol. The appetizer included raw ham, yam, and lotus root. The next course was a low-fat part of the meat cooked at a low temperature. We ate the meat as it was, wrapped in green onions, and dipped in ponzu sauce. The meat was Matsusaka beef, with each person receiving 180g of meat, which was quite satisfying. The meat was cooked by the waitress and then topped with a sauce. The smell was amazing. We dipped the meat in raw egg and took a bite. It was delicious! There's no need for explanation, it was just delicious. Following the meat, we added vegetables such as bamboo shoots, tofu, and enoki mushrooms, but the highlight was the green onions that absorbed the flavor of the meat. It was so delicious that we ended up ordering extra green onions. We also had rice, red miso soup, and dessert, which was kudzu ice cream. The sake we had was a junmai ginjo called "Edo Kaicho" made by a sake brewery in Minato Ward. It had a fruity taste like white wine but with a very good finish, making it very delicious. We drank a lot of sake, including a 4-gou bottle of sake that cost 5,500 yen. We also tried wine and shochu, all of which were of good quality. In the end, we ordered more meat and drank a variety of alcohol, spending around 25,000 yen per person. We ate and drank too much. Whether it's considered expensive or cheap is a bit difficult to determine, but the reassuring feeling of being able to enjoy delicious meat and good sake at a long-established store is wonderful. There was a slight dissatisfaction with the taste of the non-meat dishes. It was a nice treat once in a while.
