When I choose a bar, I prefer ones located underground. I feel that it makes sense to go down the stairs sober, have a drink, and then go back up the stairs when drunk. This bar in a back alley in Shinbashi is authentic, with a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. It's perfect for a drink after a meal. However, personally, I don't like low ceilings and can't stay for long. I prefer bars like Little Smith with high ceilings even though they are underground. If you're okay with that, the bartender here is very professional and it's a great bar to recommend.

It was a quiet bar. There were Maker's Mark items displayed, such as Maker's Mark warehouse and panels. I had a Maker's Mark highball. It had the taste of Maker's Mark. The interior of the bar allowed smoking, with a designated smoking area. It would be comfortable for smokers. I don't smoke, so I left quickly.

I visited around 8:00 PM on a regular day. There is a shop in the underground of a back alley in Shinbashi. You go down the stairs and enter the shop. The shop has a counter and table seats, and it felt wider than I imagined from the entrance. There were two customers at the counter. There was no menu, so they asked for our preferences. We ordered whiskey, cocktails, and snacks like chocolate and raisin butter. The whiskey was served in a stable glass with square ice cubes, making it look beautiful. They also frequently gave us chasers. I ordered cocktails like Mojito, and the large mint leaves made a strong impression. The appetizer was crackers and twist senbei, which were dry snacks. The raw chocolate was pleasantly soft with a hint of tiramisu flavor, and the raisin butter, although small, had a delicious taste. The alcohol and snacks were average. The prices were normal, maybe slightly on the higher side. The shop was not too dark and had a casual atmosphere that was easy for conversation. They also made various non-alcoholic cocktails for those who don't drink, which was enjoyable.

I found a nice bar in Shinbashi. It was a bit small, so I decided to check out the bar I had been curious about for a while. When I went downstairs, I was surprised to see a spacious area with a bartender dressed sharply in a white bar suit. I was guided to the counter and the atmosphere was really nice. I had a gin and tonic, a gimlet, and a negroni. The bartender was great at making drinks from start to finish. It was quite crowded, so I couldn't chat with the bartender much. I'll try to visit during a less busy time next time.

I received a recommendation for a bar in the Atrium in Shimbashi and decided to stop by for a drink. As I descended underground, I discovered a cozy hidden bar without a menu. They serve drinks based on what the customers feel like drinking. I tried a smoky highball and enjoyed the great atmosphere of the bar. However, since I have plans tomorrow, I left early. I would love to visit again and take my time to enjoy the place. Thank you for the meal. #shimbashi #bar #atrium #tokyo

Atrium en Bar in Shimbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, near Karasumori Shrine. Located on the basement floor of Karasumori Palace Street, it is a bar with a calm atmosphere. It was my first visit with 3 people for a second party. We toasted with Macallan single malt, which is around 1000 yen each, so you can enjoy drinking without worry. I didn't know it, but this bar is said to be a cigar bar. I am finally starting to understand the taste of whiskey at my age, but I may still have a long way to go to appreciate the goodness of cigars. It's a good place to drink in a nice and calm atmosphere. We will now cross the Tsubashi (bridge). Thank you for the meal.

The bar in Shinbashi has a nice atmosphere. Since the situation with Covid has calmed down quite a bit, we have been gradually resuming light drinking parties. We don't usually go to a second location for drinks, but since we finished dinner early this day, we decided to drink a little more. When I called, they said they could accommodate just the two of us, so we walked there. Shinbashi is great, isn't it? There are many restaurants that serve delicious food, and there are also plenty of stylish bars to choose from. When I entered for the first time, I found the cozy atmosphere very pleasant. I like Margaritas. It's a tequila-based short cocktail with a strong alcohol content, but it has a smooth taste. Maybe the acidity of the lime makes it easy to drink. For the second drink, I had a Gimlet. This is a gin-based short cocktail that is sweetened with sugar, making it even easier to drink. We had a lively conversation and had a good time. Thank you for the meal!

Visited a hidden bar in Shinbashi with a coworker. The bar is relatively easy to access with reasonable prices. They don't have a set menu, but will make cocktails based on your preferences, such as fruity drinks. It's a great place for a second round and I definitely want to visit again.

I had beer, hot sake, and tomato highball at Otemachi Ooroji in Shinbashi, but I still want to drink a bit more, so I'm heading to my favorite bar. The bartender at EST! in Yushima used to be the son of the master there, but since the master fell ill, he now runs the Yushima bar, and a different bartender is shaking the shaker. I asked for a light highball for my first drink, and he made it with Dewar's. It's refreshing and just as I imagined. I enjoyed it while nibbling on Gorgonzola penne. For the final drink, I had a classic martini. The crisp gin with a hint of sweetness from the dry vermouth. I smelled the aroma of the olive on the pin inserted in the glass, and as I sipped it, my mouth was refreshed, enhancing the intense taste of the gin. Twisting the lemon peel over the glass to add a touch of bitterness and aroma is a skillful touch. The place was almost like a private room, but when a group arrived, I decided to give up my seat and head home.

I went to a popular cigar bar. It seemed like there were a lot of regular customers. The cigar I had this time was on the lighter side and it was my favorite type. I paired it with a shot of brandy, which was a pretty good pairing. I also added a pomegranate cocktail and a Salty Dog to my order.

Crowded narrow street in front of Uson Shrine. Underground with a counter and tables. Some private rooms available. Almost full. Unusually busy. Had 2 glasses of Scotch.45. Snack mix provided. Seems like a bustling izakaya before closing time. The bartender is smart.

Long time no visit. The casual and slightly messy atmosphere feels nostalgic, not too pretentious.

So, which one was the older brother again? Actually, when I visited, the owner might not have been there at all. I didn't know them personally. Probably. Anyway, I decided to order a martini (although I should have probably ordered a daiquiri here). The base gin was Gordon's. After that, I ordered a malt. I had a 20-year-old Ardmore from the Highlands. Ardmore is the key malt for Teacher's. Of course, I had it straight. It's described as having a "pleasant smokiness from peated malt and a rich sweetness from malt." But I felt more of a softness than smokiness. The charge was 700 yen. A charm was also provided. The total bill was just under 5,000 yen. The malt was probably on the pricier side. Maybe if I had ordered something more standard, the bill would have been a bit more modest. It felt like a mix of the atmospheres of Shinbashi, Ginza, and Yushima. The party was lively. It was probably in the atrium. Wasn't it in a building along Sotobori Street in Shinbashi? It seems they also have a store in Ginza. Various things to consider.

After eating a lot of yakitori, we went to a dive bar for the second round. It was a small and quiet counter bar. I had Bowmore for the first time in a while. We might have been a bit too loud for the atmosphere of the place.

A bar with a nice atmosphere. The prices can get high with the service charge included, even for just one drink. [What I drank] Ardbeg 10 years (double, on the rocks)
