In December of the first year of Reiwa, the long-established sukiyaki restaurant Asakusa Imahan has opened a bento shop in the Mitsukoshi department store basement. "Imahan" is a company that has several branches, similar to the previously mentioned "Senbikiya," so I will touch on that briefly. The original Imahan main store was established in 1895, and through various branches and divisions, there are Imahan Bekkan, Asakusa Imahan (Imahan Co., Ltd.), Ningyocho Imahan, and Yoyogi Imahan, all of which are separate companies. This shop is Asakusa Imahan (Imahan Co., Ltd.), which was established as a branch of the original Imahan main store in 1895, located in the basement of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi. The bento options include sukiyaki bento, beef bento with sliced beef, beef belly bento with belly meat, shoulder loin sukiyaki bento, and loin sukiyaki bento, each with different amounts of meat. The stacked sukiyaki bento for 1,944 yen is the most delicious, but recently I have been repeating the beef bento for 1,296 yen, which offers good value for money. However, the taste seems to be slightly declining lately. The beef bento for 1,296 yen has well-marinated beef, tofu, onions, konnyaku, and pickled ginger. It has a safe and decent taste, but this time the appearance seemed a bit sloppy, and the taste may have dropped slightly. Overall rating: 3.6 (down from 3.7), taste: 3.4 (down from 3.6).
