I was in Takadanobaba and couldn't decide where to drink, but then I found a super cheap izakaya with a sign advertising draft beer for 199 yen. It's very easy to get to from the station. They had a great variety of food menu items, including skewers, mentaiko tempura, yuzu salted fish roe, and motsunabe. Only the black label beer is 199 yen, but it's a great deal because you can have as many as you want at that price. It was a very cost-effective izakaya!

The other day, I ended up drinking in Takadanobaba and stopped by here because it caught my attention while I was wandering around. It's located about a 2-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station and was quite busy. The service was fast and the food was delicious! I will definitely visit again!

Visited Hakata Mangetsu for the first time. It is said to be a benchmark for Torimero. While the drink prices are indeed reasonable, the food leaned more towards Hakata style and was enjoyable. I appreciated how the staff led a toast with the first drink. However, the dishes lacked distinctiveness. The tamagoyaki and fried potatoes with that (laughs) mentaiko mayo to give it a Hakata twist, as well as the yakitori, were not particularly unique, which made the experience less exciting. Nevertheless, the Sapporo draft beer for 199 yen is amazing (laughs).

I stayed in Takadanobaba for a business trip and went to a nearby izakaya for drinks. Despite it being a weekday, the place was quite crowded, mostly with young people. The menu had a lot of reasonably priced items, which seemed to be popular among the younger crowd. Surprisingly, there weren't many dishes that gave off a strong "Hakata" vibe, with only "motsunabe" and "mentaiko" being the exceptions. Instead, they had Nagasaki specialty "Nagasaki champon" and Kagoshima specialty "kibinago tempura", giving more of a Kyushu-wide feel rather than just Hakata. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of Hakata-specific dishes. Since I couldn't decide on what to order, I ended up getting a Sapporo beer, edamame, and cabbage as a start. I hope they add more Hakata-inspired dishes to the menu in the future.

Visited with four acquaintances from university days. We're all middle-aged now, haha. No romantic relationships, just good friends. This place is perfect for hanging out with close buddies. The all-you-can-drink alcohol is tasty, and the 50 yen skewers are a steal. In the end, we spent around 3500 yen, but the value for money here is incredible. Of course, it's also because we have a great time with our group. Enjoying good drinks and good company. Gotta be careful not to drink too much. Since starting my diet, I only drink alcohol like once a month now! I really want to go back again. That's all!

This is a review of the lunch at an izakaya in a building in front of Takadanobaba Station. It used to be an Okinawan cuisine restaurant, I think? When you enter, there are all-you-can-eat ingredients in the middle of the restaurant. All items are ¥500 each!! Quite cheap. I ordered the fried chicken. While waiting for the dish, I got rice, curry, oshinko, miso soup, and macaroni! That might be enough already. After a while, the fried chicken arrived. It was decently tasty. Curry is easy to overeat. This lunch has a high cost-performance ratio.

JR, Seibu Shinjuku Line, and Tozai Subway Line are all within a 2-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station, a Kyushu izakaya chain. The price of a glass of draft beer is only 199 yen, making it quite affordable for beer lovers. While some places with cheap beer tend to have expensive dishes, this restaurant offers reasonably priced food. Items like chicken skewers and green onions are only 46 yen each, while chilled tofu is 80 yen. By ordering cheap dishes along with draft beer, you can enjoy a budget-friendly meal. The restaurant is not smoke-free, so it may not be suitable for non-smokers. The horse sashimi and grilled chicken thighs are delicious, but the chicken wings were a bit dry. The avocado with seaweed and roasted seaweed is a personal favorite. Overall, the food is tasty, with highlights like juicy chicken skewers and flavorful sashimi.

Next to Big Box in Takadanobaba, there is a restaurant that I often use for drinking parties. However, it is often full and I can't get in. That's how popular the place is. The cost performance is really great. First of all, the beer is cheap!!! And the yakitori is also around 50 yen, which is too cheap!!! So if you keep ordering beer and yakitori, it will be very cheap. But this restaurant also has other delicious menu items. I like the chicken nanban. By the way, the staff will lead the toast, which is funny.

We used this restaurant for a year-end party with 8 adults. The course was in the 2700 yen range, but it was already quite satisfying! We ended up leaving some of the dishes served, but I want to finish them all next time. While waiting for the food, we had unlimited spicy cod roe in a pot to snack on, so we had no trouble finding something to go with our drinks. What was especially great was that even though it was all-you-can-drink, they took drink orders smoothly. The size of the private room was also sufficient. The staff were friendly and cheerful. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was average, but considering the price, I have no complaints. I will definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal.
