I came here because I wanted to eat horse meat. The restaurant is full and very lively. What surprised me when I came to this restaurant is the price of horse meat. Nowadays, horse meat is considered a luxury, but it is incredibly cheap here. It is imported horse meat, not domestic, but it is still affordable and comes in a generous portion.

I planned on having a light drink at the second place, but ended up drinking a bit too much because the horse meat was delicious. It's a horse meat specialty store, Bakurou! Horse Meat New Shimbashi Store♪ The "Umeshoju" horse meat dish was refreshing and tasty. The assorted horse sashimi was light and easy to eat. The horse karaage (fried horse meat) was very delicious! I highly recommend it♪ After having three drinks, the shop was closing, so I left.

①They have a variety of horse sashimi (supposedly 7 types) available. The atmosphere is casual and you can easily enjoy drinking and eating. They also offer large jugs of alcohol, so the cost performance is good. Although it's a horse meat restaurant, there are surprisingly many menu options, but most of them are horse meat dishes. ②I had the fried rice twice, and the first time it was very delicious. The second time was just average, so it seems like there is someone skilled at making it.

I finally went to Bakuro-san for the first time! It's a horse meat specialty store that I've been wanting to try for a while. The interior of the store has a Showa retro vibe that I love. I tried the horse sashimi and it was delicious! Specialty stores are truly the best. I definitely need to visit again.

I gave up on the fish lunch place I was aiming for because of the long line, so I decided to try this place instead. They only serve horse meat dishes for lunch, such as horse meat toro bowl and horse meat fillet steak bowl. Since it was my first time, I went for the cheaper option, the horse meat toro bowl. The finely minced and thinly sliced bright red horse meat, paired with the yellow egg, looked beautiful. It had a subtle sweetness and a melting texture in the mouth, with no hint of gamey taste. When mixed with a little sweet soy sauce on the egg yolk, it added depth and tasted delicious. It may not be very filling, but for a spontaneous lunch choice, I was quite satisfied. I might try the fillet steak bowl next time.

For our last year-end party, we went to Bakuro New Shinbashi to have horse meat. My spouse and I attended together, and it seemed like the other party's wife was trying horse sashimi for the first time. Horse sashimi was high in protein and low in fat, and cutting the fatty parts thinly brought out a sweet flavor. It had been a while since I had horse sashimi, and it was incredibly delicious. The fried dishes, like the tempura, were also refreshing and tasty. The last dish, a sukiyaki-style dish, had a generous amount of broth and reminded me of a dish from the Rokusanjin restaurant. It paired well with the low-fat horse meat. We enjoyed the udon noodles at the end and were completely satisfied with the high cost performance of Bakuro.

Located on the extension of Nishishinbashi and Karasumori Street, this restaurant specializes in horse meat dishes. I visited in the evening hoping to get some horse sashimi for takeout, but they only had frozen items available, so I had to decline. After a few years, I saw on a TV show featuring a former model from Okinawa that they offered horse sashimi for takeout and were now serving lunch, possibly due to the pandemic. Finally, after a few more months, I found the perfect timing to visit for lunch. I was seated at my favorite table, the farthest from the other two groups of five diners. I ordered the "Horse Toro Don Set" for 980 yen and chose the "Horse Toro Pickled Don Set" for 1080 yen, but opted for the former to have less change to deal with when paying in cash. I also selected the horse meatball and horse tsukune as my two side dishes. I requested garlic in the sauce for the horse toro bowl. The meal was served on a tray with everything neatly arranged, along with disposable chopsticks and a spoon for the side dishes. I enjoyed the meal, mixing in the garlic, and using the shichimi togarashi on the table. The bowl was satisfying and I finished it quickly with the help of the egg yolk, miso soup, and pickles. After paying with cashless payment, I left the restaurant in just 10 minutes, surpassing the five-person dining group in efficiency.

There is a horse meat restaurant in Shinbashi. It seems that more people use it as an izakaya for dinner, but actually, the lunch is a great deal and delicious. They also offer lunch service, and you can have a horse meat lunch for around 1000 yen during the day. The image shows a horse meat bowl with horse sashimi, horse toro, and a raw egg yolk on top. You can choose from three sauces: garlic soy sauce, wasabi soy sauce, or yukke sauce. I tried both garlic soy sauce and wasabi soy sauce, and both were delicious. It's not common to casually eat horse meat, so it's nice to be able to eat it easily and affordably near my workplace. Additionally, you can choose two side dishes from a selection of four, which are also included. The rolled omelette is delicious. I am still trying out other dishes. This affordable, relatively quick, and tasty horse meat lunch will continue to be my go-to choice during work breaks or after work.

The atmosphere inside the horse meat wholesale store in Nishi-Shinbashi is my favorite, it really gets me excited. Especially the toilet was very elaborate and lovely. They offer a wide variety of horse meat cuts, including rare cuts like hige (mane), as well as hiré, rosu, and more. Horse meat lovers will definitely be satisfied. My top recommendation is the horse meat karaage! It's surprisingly tender, has no gamey taste even though it's rare, and the seasoning is rich, making it perfect for enjoying with drinks. The young and energetic staff members create a lively and positive atmosphere in the store!

If you want to eat delicious horse meat at a low price, this is the place to go! From horse sashimi to horse meat salad, everything is delicious. Their recommended dish is the fried horse meat, which is very filling so it's best to order early. The egg rice has horse meat salami or smoked horse meat on top, adding just the right amount of saltiness. Eating it with a little bit of salted kombu on top of green pepper is the best! I will definitely come back again!

It's been a while since I went to "Bakurou" for a drink. The place is still crowded with many customers, with chairs cushioned with tatami mats on top of beer cases. I enjoyed a refreshing lemon sour with a platter of 5 different kinds of horse sashimi, umami-spicy meat tofu, and a delicious harami steak. The horse sashimi was particularly tasty, especially when eaten with the "koune" (mane) part which adds a nice touch of fat. However, when I think of the mane, I can't help but feel a bit sorry for the horses. I never feel this way when eating beef. As I continue to enjoy my drinks, I apologize in my mind to the horses, feeling a bit tipsy as the night goes on.

On this day, I headed from Shinbashi Station to Uchisaiwaicho with a friend to eat horse sashimi. We had a reservation for Saturday night at 8:00 pm, but the popular restaurant was already full. The place was very lively! Looking at the menu, I was surprised by the affordability of horse meat compared to a Kumamoto local cuisine restaurant. We started with a toast with beer and enjoyed horse meat wiener, horse sashimi platter, Chinjao horse, horse steak shoulder loin, horse steak sirloin, and garlic rice. The quality was excellent and fresh, allowing us to enjoy the meat raw. It's a great restaurant that I would love to visit again!

As usual, I went out with a friend who shares the same hobby one day. Last time, we enjoyed lamb and duck, so this time we wanted to try horse meat! My mother eats horse meat regularly, so I might be exaggerating a bit. But horse meat is commonly sold in supermarkets, there are horse meat specialty shops, and most izakayas have horse sashimi and tataki. I come from southern Nagano, so I love horse meat too. Finding delicious and affordable horse meat in Tokyo is quite limited in my personal opinion. That's why my friend found this restaurant. From horse sashimi to grilled and fried dishes, the horse meat was very delicious. The lean meat was excellent, and if they put more effort into other side dishes, it would be even better. The atmosphere of the restaurant was typical Showa era style, which seemed fitting for the area. Thank you for the meal!

I was impressed by the assortment of five types of horse sashimi. You can clearly taste the difference in flavor based on the part of the horse. Personally, I think the sweet soy sauce served with the set goes well with it. The sirloin steak comes out on a hot plate. Eating it with sauce and bean sprouts enhances the deliciousness. Mixing the egg and sauce with the Yukhoe makes the horse meat stand out. I found it hard to tell where the horse was in the fried horse dish. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely go back.

I arrived at the counter seat at 7:15 p.m. It's not easy to find a place like this without being brought by someone else. The old-fashioned atmosphere and the chefs cooking right in front of you were very interesting, and the conversation was lively. They seem to have a good grasp of their customers' hearts, so they probably have a lot of repeat customers! I learned a lot about the origin of horse meat (mostly from Canada) and there were also some secret menu items! The items I ordered this time were: 1) Sansho Highball: Goes incredibly well with sashimi! A must-try. 2) Horse Crystal: Chewy and goes well with the Sansho Highball. 3) Horse Meat Sausage: Very juicy and no unpleasant smell. 4) Assorted Horse Sashimi: The fillet is tender like tuna, the loin has a slightly chewy texture, and the thigh has a hint of redness with a melting sensation of the neck fat. 5) Grilled Onigiri: Fried rice seasoned with soy sauce, grilled on a charcoal grill. Absolutely delicious. Yesterday was a good day for drinking!

I visited a horse meat restaurant a little away from Shinbashi Station. The interior of the restaurant was crowded, but I managed to get in without a reservation. Luckily, the seat I sat in came with a free drink! I love horse meat, especially with sweet soy sauce. The three types of horse sashimi I ordered were delicious, each cut had a different flavor which made it very enjoyable. The Yukhoe (Korean-style raw beef) was not only tasty but also had a great portion size. The cost performance was excellent! The menu was very extensive, so I definitely want to go back again!

This is an addition to a previous post. On this day, I went to a horse meat specialty restaurant with my junior high school classmates for a joint birthday party for those born in the Year of the Horse. The fresh horse sashimi was very delicious! It was really good! I've had delicious horse sashimi in Osaka as well, but the horse meat here was also incredibly delicious.

My wife and I went for the first time. We toasted with Akahoshi, drew a great fortune in the lottery, and received an Akahoshi glass. After that, we had Mega Highball and Jasmine Highball. For food, we had a horse meat sashimi assortment, Chorogi salad, Sujipon, and fried rice. The horse meat assortment had 5 types, with tender lean meat and creamy mane, providing a satisfying texture and taste. The fried rice was also delicious and the portion was generous. The prices were reasonable. We both agreed to come back again.
