On the second night of my Tokyo trip in the summer of 2023, I headed to the Sumida River Fireworks Festival, which was the main attraction of my journey! Before going to see the fireworks, I grabbed dinner at a place conveniently located near my accommodation. After filling my stomach, I made my way to the fireworks festival.

Seijo Ishii is a shop I always want to visit. I want to take my time looking around. I ended up buying a side bag because I forgot mine. Whenever I go to Seijo Ishii, I feel like I always end up buying something. The font on this item is so cute! I think I'll also get the organic herb Italian dressing. Even though I'm starting to struggle with all the bags, I can't resist buying things at Seijo Ishii (lol).

I have a good relationship with Seijo Ishii in Kinshicho♡. They have a variety of delicious items like shiobaragyuni, Oyama butter, Tarejjo, Mondoromuyou, wine, and emergency food that saved me during the last state of emergency when restaurants had shortened hours. This time, I bought some dried wheat gluten for my husband, and I made it in dashi and seasoned it with the best dashi and Fuji chrysanthemum. The texture was just right, and he enjoyed it. The next day, I made it into a nest-like dish with eggs and mitsuba. He loved it, so I'm happy. He's still a bit hesitant to eat dishes with oil, so I'll have to be patient with the soft texture for a while. The power of dashi is truly amazing.

Once again, I was impressed by Seijo Ishii. I casually bought it and took a bite without any defenses, and I was truly surprised by how delicious it was. Even though I'm not a sweet tooth, it felt so pleasant to me~♪ The gentle sweetness, the gentle aroma of black tea, and the fluffy texture~♪ The cream and powdered sugar on the outside are also perfectly sweet. It's a small chiffon cake, so I finished it in no time, leaving me wanting another one. I didn't even notice this chiffon cake among the other tempting cakes at Seijo Ishii, but it's so delicious~♪ Seijo Ishii is amazing~ The rectangular cakes that cost around 1000 yen always look delicious, and I wish they would make them half the size so I could buy them.

JR Kinshicho Station North Exit, go left immediately after exiting the ticket gate and head to the 1st floor of Terminal 2 Station Nakarestaurant Street. I often visit this place since Queen's Isetan withdrew from Alkakit. After seeing a feature on Gaia no Yoake about the development of Singaporean cuisine bento boxes by Seijo Ishii, I decided to try Singaporean food and bought about 4 different dishes. I also couldn't resist buying a Basque cheesecake for 399 yen, which has been recently sold. Sometimes I crave baked cheesecake, but I don't like rare cheesecake, so I carefully choose which cheesecake to buy. The Basque cheesecake has a baked surface, a fluffy and creamy inside, and a rich and delicious cheese flavor. It was so delicious that I finished it in no time, and I regret not buying two. It's hard to find a good cheesecake at a cake shop, but I'm happy that I can always buy one at Seijo Ishii. My favorite bento boxes are the Chicken Black Vinegar Ankake Wakame Rice Bento for 498 yen, Steamed Shrimp Dumplings for 499 yen, Green Onion Manju, and Potato Salad for 380 yen. I was disappointed when the Tan Tan Men, which was delicious, disappeared from the shelves within a few months. I prefer the Szechuan Mapo Tofu from Ryuryuen at the Atre Kameido Delicatessen Store. I also like desserts like Almond Tofu (moist and rich) and snacks like Crispy Fish Snack. I used to like the Olive Marinade with pickles, but it seems to have disappeared. I want to go buy Basque cheesecake again soon. The Singapore-style Chicken Noodles and Singapore-style Wonton Mee I bought were featured on Gaia no Yoake struggling with the development of thin noodles, but I thought that the product might be delicious with thin, smooth noodles like cold noodles or Sen Mee. However, it may not be possible to release it as a Singaporean cuisine. I was satisfied after trying it once and understanding the taste, but I may not repeat it. The Singapore-style Shrimp Soup Noodles had a rich and delicious shrimp miso soup, which I enjoyed. I like Sen Mee, so I also liked the thin and firm noodles. I would like to repeat this one. Note: The taste of Basque cheesecake may vary slightly depending on the day.

At Seijo Ishii, they were selling a strawberry butter that sells out quickly starting from 10:00 on July 20th. Since I happened to be in Tokyo, I decided to line up and try it out. When I arrived at Kintetsu Terminal at around 10:00, there was already a line formed. The line was decently long, but compared to usual merchandise lines, it was manageable. The line moved and I entered the store where I was handed a jar of strawberry butter. I walked around the store and made my way to the cashier. I purchased the strawberry butter for 754 yen (tax included). Review: The strawberry butter was spread on toast and it was delicious. The strawberry flavor was present and it had a nice balance of sweetness.

I visited the store around 7 pm on a regular day. The compact interior was crowded with more than 10 customers. Compared to the Lumine store in Yurakucho, the variety of products here was a bit limited. Some of my favorite items were not available, which was a bit disappointing. However, I found my beloved liver pate and purchased it without hesitation. I also tried three different flavors of gobochi, and the plain flavor was still my favorite. The small Camembert cheese with about six pieces in the pack was also delicious.

Kinshicho Telmi 2 has a Seijo Ishii store. I stopped by to buy some sweets. I was thinking of getting some limited-time Hokkaido sweet potato sweets at the adjacent Alkakit, but they were sold by weight and didn't seem worth it, so I decided not to buy them. That's why, even though I was in Kinshicho, I ended up at Seijo Ishii.
- Ebisu Pumpkin Pumpkin Pudding: A Seijo Ishii original. Sweets are tastier than their side dishes.
- Macarons: French macarons. I gave them as a souvenir so I didn't eat them, but apparently they were just sweet. Macarons are cute with their colors and appearance.

Just outside the north exit of Kinshicho Station, on the left side, you'll find Seijo Ishii in TERMINA2 Diner. Seijo Ishii actually sells wine! Sometimes I buy wine to drink at home. It's convenient to access and they occasionally have sales, so you can get wines around 3,000 yen. One of my favorite wines is Château Citran. It's usually around 3,500 yen, but sometimes you can buy it for less than 3,000 yen. It's full-bodied with a powerful taste, sweet and fragrant. It's vibrant and you can feel its youthfulness. It's more reasonable than department stores and more reliable than Caldi.

This is a shop located on the first floor of Termini 2, directly connected to Kinshicho Station. It is open until 11pm, which is convenient. As it is a shop in a commercial facility, it is smaller compared to other stores. The set includes mini raisin bread, chocolate Danish, and mini croissant made with fermented butter. The mini raisin bread has a subtle sweetness with raisins inside. It is easy to eat due to its small size. The chocolate Danish has a moderate sweetness with a small amount of chocolate. It may not be as crispy as when fresh. The mini croissant has a good buttery flavor and can be enjoyed as is or slightly toasted. It's nice that you can enjoy various flavors with the three types included. Thank you for the meal.

I had lunch at Horii-san (^-^) Today was the day I had to go shopping for a week, so I didn't have time to stroll around! With a typhoon approaching, I hurried back home (^-^)/ I quickly went to my regular supermarket in Telmina for shopping, and the rain seemed to be holding off, so I made a quick stop at "Seijo Ishii" in Telmina 2. I love stores like Seijo Ishii and KALDI that carry foreign products (*^^*) I always visit them, but I couldn't resist the temptation of a product called "Losti" that had been on my mind recently. I usually don't buy it because I'm trying to maintain my weight, but today I couldn't resist and bought it \(^o^)/ I hurried back home before the typhoon arrived and took a short break (-_-)ボー and now it's almost time for my evening drink, so I started preparing dinner for today's menu ( ̄0 ̄)/ Let's eat! First, I cooked the "Losti" in a frying pan as instructed on the package, and it was done. Then, shortly after, the rest of the menu was ready. Let's dig in! First, the Losti is a traditional Swiss dish made from potatoes. To be honest, it's just mashed potatoes (*´∇`*) I took a bite (^o^) Delicious! The surface is crispy and fragrant, while the inside has a slightly soft texture. The taste of the potatoes is distinct, with a mild sweetness. It has a light salt seasoning, so you don't need to add more seasoning, but you can sprinkle some pepper or powdered cheese for extra flavor (^ー^) Overall, it's a convenient potato dish for busy homemakers looking to save time in the kitchen. Thank you, Seijo Ishii-san! m(._.)m

Just next to Kinshicho Station, there is Seijo Ishii where you can enjoy Singaporean food. I decided to try their homemade Singaporean-style Hainan Chicken Rice for 647 yen and Singaporean-style sweet and spicy yakisoba with five ingredients for 539 yen, both made without chemical seasonings. The Hainan Chicken Rice uses authentic Thai rice and has a unique aroma of herbs. The sweet and spicy yakisoba includes shrimp and dried shrimp with flat noodles. Both dishes have a strong herb flavor, so they may not be suitable for those who don't like it. By the way, I've been to Singapore before, back in the '90s, still immersed in the bubble era. I remember playing fake golf on Sentosa Island, where the ball always seemed to land in the right spot no matter where I hit it. I did manage to chip it properly though!

This shop is located in a station building and stays open late. I always thought that Seijo Ishii was the best for a variety of prosciutto, but this shop also has a lot of different types of prosciutto. I always have a hard time deciding. This time, I bought the 14-month aged Jamon Serrano (I was tempted by the 5% bonus). It was sweet and salty, and it disappeared in no time. I will definitely be a repeat customer here. I also love oysters, so I tried the Hiroshima oyster curry. It had plump oysters and I was satisfied. I also picked up some Eitaro's throat lozenges. It was a fulfilling shopping trip.

When commuting daily for three hours one way, I can't make it to my local Seijo Ishii in time. So, I end up making a stop along the way to visit this store. The variety of items here never fails to catch my eye, and I never get tired of looking around. On this day, I stuck to my usual favorites. Above all, I've become obsessed with Anis de Flavigny. If anyone knows of something with a "coffee" flavor, please let me know!

I love it, but I only buy it if it's 20% off, so I often check in. Today I'm feeling lucky. I bought 6 pieces of nira manju with sesame oil. I lightly coated a frying pan with sesame oil and cooked them on low heat, slowly browning both sides. I enjoyed them with the runny whites and yolks of a sunny-side-up egg.

I tried a bento from Seijo Ishii for the first time! The name "Spanish Iberico Pork Demi-glace Meat Sauce Tagliatelle" is impressive! I think Iberico is from Spain, and the name has a nice touch to it. It's like a cross between ragu and bolognese. The pasta is also good. "Three Types of Chicken Bento" with teriyaki, tsukune, and soboro had a refined taste with a subtle saltiness, and it was delicious. Just a side note, I'm old so I didn't eat all of it by myself. 😄
