A bar located in front of the station in both countries. It has a casual atmosphere. The counter is divided by sturdy vinyl sheets, and they have solid COVID-19 measures in place. On this day, I sat at a table and had a leisurely time. The prices are reasonable for a bar. It may not be enough for those who prioritize atmosphere, but it's recommended for those who want to go to another lively place after finishing their drinks. The staff are also casual, so it may be good for those who want to chat alone.

After the last train, I went to JIRO'S BAR, a dining bar right in front of Ryogoku Station. The entrance was very stylish. I had a straight Macallan. Whenever I go to a bar, I always start with Macallan. And then, Kiss Chocolates!!! Whiskey and Kiss Chocolates have been a favorite combination of mine for a long time, but recently it's been hard to find them in any shop, so I was so happy to be able to eat Kiss Chocolates after a long time. The interior was as beautiful as the exterior, and despite that, the prices were very reasonable, which pleasantly surprised me. The staff were friendly and not pretentious, making it a relaxing atmosphere. I only had Macallan that day, so I can't comment on the taste of other drinks or dishes, but considering the service and the atmosphere of the place, I think it was a very cost-effective restaurant. They also prepare authentic homemade dishes in addition to snacks, so I would like to visit again with an empty stomach. The atmosphere is welcoming for solo female diners, so it's definitely a place I will visit again. Check out my blog for more details.【Visit this time ('14/02 visit)】

This is a bar located right in front of JR Ryogoku Higashi Exit. It's just across the road from the ticket gates. I think it's a relatively new place. There aren't many bars in the Ryogoku area, so this is a nice find. I visited on a Friday night for our third stop. We sat at a table in the back (a sofa seat in the shape of a "C") with five people. We each ordered cocktails and whiskey. The whiskey selection was pretty standard. Overall, they have a good variety of cocktails and other drinks. Surprisingly, they also had a variety of food options. We ended up ordering pasta, which was decent. There was a TV in the bar playing a movie on DVD with no sound (it was "Inception" at the time). There were a few regulars sitting at the counter. The location is convenient, and while it may not look like much from the entrance, it has a casual and nice atmosphere.

At the second party held in both countries, we decided to add one more light drink before heading home. We spotted a neat-looking bar near the station and decided to have one strong drink before calling it a night. The inside was relatively bright for a bar and quite lively, with several salarymen as the main customers. It's easy for anyone to walk in, which makes it approachable. However, it might be too noisy for someone looking to quietly enjoy a drink alone. I had whiskey on the rocks, while the other two had whiskey soda. We also ordered avocado sashimi as a snack. We were served a cracker topped with salad as a complimentary dish. The food was relatively good, but the main issue was the ice for the whiskey... using square ice cubes from an ice maker was a bit disappointing. Even though it's a bar and not an izakaya, it would have been nice to have proper whiskey rocks. Overall, if you don't mind these details, it's a convenient place to visit.

I felt like having a drink alone at night and was wandering around the area near Ryogoku Station West Exit when I spotted a nice-looking bar on the first floor, so I decided to check it out. The interior of the bar was surprisingly spacious with several table seats and had a cozy and slightly dim atmosphere. They had a slightly limited selection of drinks, but they offered the basics and some carefully selected options. The prices were very reasonable for a shot bar, and the food was also quite affordable. I ordered a unique pizza made with buckwheat flour today. The crust seemed to be made with buckwheat flour, giving it a rich flavor that was quite delicious! It's not a place to have a full meal, but it's a convenient and user-friendly spot.

I visited this bar on someone's recommendation. Since I was feeling hungry, I ordered pasta along with my drinks. The pasta was not just average, it was delicious. They really know how to cook. The fried chicken had a crispy skin that was very fragrant and juicy. It was incredibly tasty. This is not a fancy place, more like a place where locals stop by for a casual evening. The entrance is a bit hidden, but the inside is cozy. After beer, I had a bottle of wine which was reasonably priced and tasty. I'll try a cocktail next time.

Located just a stone's throw away from Ryokoku Station. It's not an exaggeration to say it's just a 10-second walk. The interior of the restaurant has a classic bar style with table and counter seats. This time, I sat at the counter seat. The selection of alcohol available is pretty standard and the kitchen is quite spacious, offering a wide variety of dishes for a bar. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great spot for regular visits. The clientele mainly consisted of office workers around 10 PM on weekdays. It seems like the restaurant is closed on Sundays and holidays. One downside was that the background music inside the restaurant was overshadowed by the conversations of the customers. I felt like they could turn up the volume a bit more.
