It was out of place for a 57-year-old man like me. I was drawn in by the name "Mozzarella Omurice" and ended up entering the restaurant, but it seemed more suited for cute toddlers and young women. It may be a comfortable place for younger people in terms of cost performance. The taste was a bit strong, but it filled me up.

Visited during lunchtime on a regular day. Entered the restaurant right when it opened and it quickly became almost full. The "Creamy Egg Demi-Glace Hamburg Omurice" lived up to its name with fluffy eggs covering a hot and meaty hamburger, creating an authentic and satisfying taste with a surprisingly substantial portion. The Rakel Pan was also much tastier than expected.
The restaurant is located on the restaurant floor of Marui Kinshicho store and originated in Shibuya. It has expanded its chain across Japan. During weekday lunch hours at Marui Kinshicho, it seems to be the most popular restaurant on the floor, with many female customers. It is conveniently close to the station.
The interior has many table seats with a normal amount of space between them. The decor and staff uniforms give off a fairytale-like vibe, making it a charming place.
I ordered the weekday lunch special, the "Creamy Egg Demi-Glace Hamburg Omurice" for 1,290 yen with soup, and added the Rakel Pan for 330 yen. The potage soup arrived shortly after ordering, while the main dish and Rakel Pan took about 10 minutes.
The Demi-Glace Hamburg Omurice was served hot on a sizzling plate. The eggs were indeed fluffy and covered the rice nicely. Although I wished the rice was pilaf instead of chicken rice, it might have been chosen for its compatibility with the hamburger. The hamburger was thick, flavorful, and not overpowering, paired with an authentic Demi-Glace sauce that had a rich taste. The Rakel Pan caught my attention due to its name and being a first-time visitor, so I ordered it. The staff recommended eating it while warm, and they were right. It was very fluffy with a delightful bread aroma, and the butter inside melted just right, creating a luxurious and indulgent taste. It's best to eat it early as the atmosphere changes when it cools down. Despite the slightly pricey 330 yen for a lunch bread, it was very delicious. The Hamburg Omurice was surprisingly filling, especially after eating the bread, leaving me unexpectedly satisfied. Although the total cost for lunch was quite high, I left feeling content. Ordering a set of bread and Omurice seems like a good choice.

My wife and I used this restaurant for lunch on a holiday. It's perfect for grabbing a meal while shopping. The interior is fancy, and it's recommended for when you feel like having omurice or hamburger. The restaurant isn't very spacious, so it can get crowded during lunchtime on holidays.

After several years, I revisited Racel. Racel bread is a must every time! They told me to eat it while it's warm, so I had half of it while it was still fluffy. However, it quickly became hard after some time, so be careful. It was my first time having an omelet instead of omurice. Maybe that's why I got hungry again later.

I was torn between omurice and hamburger, but I came here to decide. I was surprised to see the menu - nowadays, omurice comes in various colors like white, red, brown, caramel, and black. I chose the classic ketchup omurice and hamburger set in size S, which was described as a Showa retro dish on the menu. I thought S would be small, but it was a normal-sized omurice. The first bite brought back memories - it had the nostalgic mix of egg and ketchup, with orange chicken rice inside. The sweet and sour taste was just like I remembered. However, the chicken pieces in the omurice were a bit sparse, about the size of a one-yen coin. The hamburger was decent for the price, with a hint of pork smell. I'd like to try other colors besides red next time. I left the restaurant at 11:30, and it was full of customers.

Located in the 7th floor restaurant area of Kinshicho Marui, I went there for a lunch meeting. When I was deciding what to eat - meat, sushi, Chinese food - I saw the omurice and thought, "Today, this is it!" So I went in. I ordered the luxurious beef and mushroom stew omurice. The name sounded good, and it looked really delicious. When I dug in, I was surprised to find that it was made with mixed grains instead of the usual ketchup rice. The egg was also nice and fluffy, and it was tasty, but I still wanted that ketchup flavor. For an additional 200 yen, you get a soup and drink set. Today's soup was corn soup, rich and delicious. I chose hot lemonade for the drink, which was perfect for warming up on a cold day. It was made with lemons from Sicily, and the lemon flavor was strong. For 1190 yen, I thought it was a good deal. I will definitely go back to eat there again.

Rakel in Marui's restaurant street in Kinshicho! A restaurant specializing in omurice and omelettes founded in 1963, named after a beautiful woman from mythology. The atmosphere is perfect for families with children, with cute gingham check dresses worn by the staff and tables matching the theme. The menu offers a variety of choices, such as creamy chicken omurice, sakurahime chicken with herb breadcrumbs, Hokkaido mascarpone cheese garlic mashed potatoes, mochi mentaiko cheese doria, and beef and mushroom stew omurice. There are also kids' sets with a variety of options. The plates with combinations like omurice and hamburger or omurice and chicken are a fun way to try different dishes. The cheese doria dishes are served piping hot until the last bite. Overall, a delightful dining experience for both kids and adults. Check out my blog for more details: https://zan3tho.com

This day (December 12, 2021) was a holiday. I didn't want to waste this precious holiday, so I decided to go for a solo lunch. I went to Marui in Kinshicho and decided to look for a restaurant in the mall. It was crowded everywhere due to the holiday and lunchtime, but the only place that seemed available was Rakel. "I love omurice so much!" I was excited. It had been a while since I last visited Rakel. The last time I went, I had a bitter memory of being invited by a former colleague for a multi-level marketing pitch. Since then, I hadn't been back to Rakel, even though I loved it. I really wanted to go. I ordered a simple omurice set with ketchup sauce. It felt nostalgic, right? When the omurice arrived, it came with salad and potatoes, making it quite a generous portion. And the bread was delicious. Eating it hot was the best! (It gets tough when it cools down). So, I started with the bread. Then I leisurely enjoyed the omurice, salad, and potatoes, feeling satisfied. It was a carb overload, so my stomach felt very full. But it was incredibly delicious. Rakel is a place I feel like visiting occasionally. It was great that it was near my home! I want to go again someday. But I'm currently on a diet, so maybe later. Thank you for the meal! #KinshichoGourmet #SumidaCityGourmet #TokyoGourmet #Rakel #FoodieWanted

I felt like eating something sweet, so I visited this place. After having a heavy lunch at another restaurant, we decided to share one plate of French toast because it's quite filling. The French toast was covered with a generous amount of fruits, almost hiding it. It had a rich flavor, topped with ice cream and whipped cream, and when drizzled with maple syrup, it became quite sweet. However, the abundance of slightly tangy fruits balanced out the sweetness, leaving a refreshing aftertaste. It was delicious.

I'm in Kinshicho. I had a full day of training today, so I'm tired. I met up with my companion for dinner at "Rakel" on the 7th floor of Marui, and had omurice for the first time in a while. Personally, I have a special connection with "Rakel". It's more like Kagurazaka than Shibuya! It's been decades, but I used to live right next to Akagi Shrine in Kagurazaka, so "Rakel Kagurazaka" was just around the corner. Well, it's all about the taste of memories, right? So when I see the name "Rakel", I can't help but stop by. This Kinshicho store has been renovated by Marui, but the interior and everything else hasn't changed much, so it's comforting. I don't think the menu has changed much either, but well, I always order omurice (laughs). The taste hasn't changed much either, right? It's like a sense of security. Oh! And there's "Rakel bread", right? I can't do without it (laughs). Omurice with bread? Even if you think it's strange, you can't do without it! (laughs) And today, it met my expectations. With many nostalgic restaurants closing these days, places like this are precious. Of course, the Kagurazaka store is no longer there, but I'm satisfied as long as I can taste the flavors of memories. Thank you for the meal.

My wife, child, and I used this restaurant. My wife's recommendation was not the omelette rice but the bread (lol). It was true that there was something like butter inside, spreading a rich and delicious flavor. I had the garlic chicken omelette rice with Sakura Hime chicken, and the chicken steak had a crispy skin, juicy and tender meat, just the right amount of salt and pepper seasoning, and it went perfectly with the dry curry omelette rice. The staff prepared a chair for my child before entering the restaurant, there was temperature check and alcohol disinfection at the entrance, and the restaurant was cleaned frequently, so we could enjoy our meal with peace of mind. I would like to visit again! Thank you for the meal♪

I had an omurice with hamburg steak and demiglace sauce for lunch. The rice in the omurice was mixed with multigrain rice, which went well with the sauce and hamburger steak. It was a satisfying lunch at a restaurant in Marui 7th floor restaurant street in Kinshicho. The atmosphere was nice and they had a wide variety of omurice options. The pricing was reasonable and I would rate it between 3.0 to 3.5 out of 5.

This is a Western-style restaurant located on the 7th floor of Marui at the south exit of Kinshicho Station. The interior of the restaurant is decorated with red and white checkered tablecloths and curtains, and the dishes are printed with characters from Alice in Wonderland, giving it a girly atmosphere. The prices are slightly high, around 1,000 yen for lunch items like omurice and hamburger with soup. The service is good and the staff are attentive. Customers can enjoy drinks and desserts at a reasonable price, making it a popular spot for women to relax, chat, and enjoy dessert after their meal. The turnover rate is low, which is reflected in the pricing. The recommended dish is the Hamburger Omurice with soup (1,120 yen + tax). The soup served first is corn potage with croutons. The omurice is substantial, topped with cress and cream, and made with multigrain rice. The demi-glace sauce is light but plentiful, allowing you to mix it with the rice. The hamburger is small but flavorful, with a good balance of beef. The restaurant caters to a female clientele, with most of the staff being women dressed in maid cafe-style uniforms. It's a great place to enjoy a meal while watching the female staff in their frilly outfits.

I was able to enter the omelette specialty store without waiting in line today, probably because of the rain. I think the lunch set is a good deal. The inside of the store is bright, and the staff girls are kind and cute in their frilly aprons. The tables are a bit close together, so it's not very relaxing. The seasoning of the dishes is on the strong side, more suited for younger people, so it may be too rich for older individuals. Overall, the food is delicious.

I had a sudden craving for omurice and decided to visit this restaurant for the second time in 10 years. It was their 56th anniversary, so they had some special discounted menus available. I chose the garlic chicken with Sakura Princess chicken and omurice. The main dish was chicken steak, which was different from what I had originally expected, but it was delicious.

The staff uniforms, tablecloths, and various items in this shop are cute with red check patterns. The bread is very soft and delicious, and it seems to be their specialty as they sell take-out at the entrance. The curry-flavored omurice is also delicious, and the roast beef is tender with a very good sauce. Thank you for the meal!

Rakel Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo) opened "Coffee Shop Rakel" in Toranomon in April 1963 (Showa 38), and the following year, they introduced the "Rakel Bread" which became the shop's signature item. In 1975 (Showa 50), they opened the first Rakel store in Miyamasuzaka. "Rakel" is the name of a woman from mythology who served as a model for the queen of diamonds in playing cards. The lunch featured Omurice wrapped in dry curry, Rakel Bread, as well as a Sakura Hime Chicken steak from Hokkaido with Baron potatoes and cress on top. The meal also included a collagen-rich corn soup and a lemonade made with lemons from Sicily in the Mediterranean. The eggs used in the Omurice and Rakel Bread are of high quality, making them delicious. The bread has always been soft and sweet, making it perfect for soaking in butter. I have become so hooked on the bread that I occasionally get it for takeout.

Visited the restaurant street at Kinshicho Marui in March 2008. Ordered the Rachelle-style omurice with Chipotla-style sauce set for 934 yen. Comes with a drink and soup. Not sure what Chipotla is, but it had a scent similar to bonito broth. The rice was buttered rice, and the egg was cooked thoroughly but still fluffy. It had a great flavor. I prefer my eggs runny, but this was delicious too. Rating at the time of posting: 3.07
