shara♪
I was invited by a friend to a cake buffet at Fujiya for the first time, and I went there. Fujiya Restaurant is located on the 10th floor of the station building in Kinshicho, at Alkakit. There is a cake showcase at the entrance, and there were also customers taking out cakes. The restaurant is quite spacious, with sturdy partitions between tables. When I told the staff that I was a first-time user and interested in the cake buffet, they explained the rules to me. If you want to order a cake, you have to go outside to the entrance, choose the cake you want from the showcase, show the staff a special card, and have them put it on a plate for you. You can order up to 2 at a time, for 60 minutes at 1980 yen. There is also a drink bar with unlimited drinks, including coffee, tea, oolong tea, cola, orange juice, and more. I was given a transparent plastic bag, told to put the cake films in the bag, and to leave the used plates on the table. It's like a sushi-go-round, with plates piling up (laughs). I went straight to the showcase, chose a cake, and enjoyed it♪ Below are the cakes we ordered in order of the photos. Strawberry shortcake, delicious chestnut Mont Blanc, rich chestnut Mont Blanc with Skyberry from Tochigi, domestic fruit roll with various fruits, Mille-feuille with Amaou strawberry and domestic yellow peach, premium chocolate sponge cake, plenty of cream stump cake (nectar peach), chestnut Mont Blanc from Kasama, chocolate sponge cake with delicious chocolate cream, white chocolate sponge cake, torte with Ecuadorian cocoa and Skyberry, fluffy rice flour roll with domestic strawberries and honey, baked double cream puff, savarin with plenty of alcohol, Country Ma'am chocolate-covered cake, rolling bear premium rich baked cheesecake, milk crepe with fluffy melted strawberries (Amaou), premium shortcake, domestic strawberry cake. All the cakes were delicious, and there was a wide variety, so I was very satisfied(^^) When we visited around 4 pm on a weekday, there were four people who came alone to the cake buffet, and there was even one man who came alone. Everyone seemed to be regulars, as they immediately left their seats to look at the cakes without receiving an explanation of the rules. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is definitely safer for individuals to visit alone, and I thought it was nice to see people eating cakes in their own pace while looking at their computers or phones. Since the cakes in the showcase are limited in quantity, it seems that you can enjoy a wider variety if you go earlier. I would like to use it again when I want to eat cakes to my heart's content!
