I purchased a bento box for lunch at this high-end supermarket chain with its main store in Shinjuku. Although they take pride in their "CHEF'S WORLD" brand bento boxes produced at their own factory in Saitama, I opted for a hand-made bento box from the in-store cooking selection for this review on Tabelog. Among the limited options of in-store cooked items, I chose the "Gomoku Ankake Yakisoba" for 458 yen (excluding tax). The yakisoba noodles were topped with a sauce made of pork, shrimp, squid, quail eggs, Chinese cabbage, carrots, bamboo shoots, baby corn, snow peas, and wood ear mushrooms. The amount and variety of ingredients were much richer than your average local Chinese restaurant. The sauce was light in flavor, possibly reflecting a health-conscious approach, but I was highly satisfied with the generous portions of thick-cut pork and tender squid. The bento box from the high-end supermarket was indeed of premium quality. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Supermarket Santoku has its own factory that produces and sells a variety of delicatessen, bento boxes, Japanese sweets, Western sweets, and bread. I often buy Japanese sweets and bread here, but this time I purchased the "Colorful Inari" set. It includes six flavors of Inari sushi such as yuzu, brown sugar, matcha, and plum. I was drawn to the colorful presentation and decided to give it a try. The flavors could have been a bit more distinct, but I particularly enjoyed the subtle yuzu flavor, which was elegant. The area also has attractions like Peace Park with cherry blossoms, so I think it would be nice to buy a bento here and enjoy hanami (flower viewing). Since it is a brand within the supermarket, the prices are relatively affordable, which is great.

Located along Fujimi Street, there is a supermarket called Santoku. The first floor is occupied by Santoku, while the second floor houses a drugstore and a baby products store. Upon entering from the entrance near the escalator, you will find an in-store bakery with a variety of original breads on display. There are also manufacturer-made breads nearby, making it easy to compare and purchase. In addition to bread, they also offer delicious sweets and appetizing bento boxes. There is even a section dedicated to selling cakes that look like they belong in a cake shop. Overall, it seems like a supermarket where you can enjoy a fulfilling shopping experience.
