I'm probably about the third time in my life to have yakiniku, so I'm a beginner when it comes to yakiniku (^_^)v I've been wanting to try yakiniku alone for a while now, and today my wish finally came true. The lunch I was aiming for at the restaurant was all sold out (I always start my days off late on my days off, haha), so I hurried over to this place where the lunch last order was a bit late. I really wanted to debut a yakiniku lunch (I'm really determined, huh). I have a bit of a dislike for harami, so I decided to exclude that from my choices, and I also wanted to avoid any platters that might include offal. I actually wanted to just have the sirloin on its own, but since it wasn't on the menu, I ended up going a bit over budget and ordered the beef kalbi and beef sirloin platter lunch. I've been to this restaurant several times before to have their hamburger lunch, but this was my first time trying yakiniku here. As a yakiniku beginner, I was feeling a bit nervous (^-^;) Soon, a tray with rice (I chose the medium size), salad, kimchi, and soup was brought over, and shortly after that, a plate of meat was served. The grill had already been lit by the staff, so I was ready to go, and I started grilling the meat. I had no idea how long to cook it for or when to flip it. I just flipped it randomly based on my instincts. Once it seemed cooked, I transferred it to a plate and dipped it in soy sauce and salt sauce alternately. It was delicious! I don't have much experience comparing it to other places, but it was good (^-^;) I grilled and ate, grilled and ate, repeating this process about three times, and before I knew it, I had finished everything. I thought I could have eaten a bit more, but I told myself that this was probably just right. I finished off with self-served coffee and roasted green tea (all-you-can-drink). My first yakiniku lunch was over. The restaurant's interior was clean, with seats arranged in a relaxed manner, so I could enjoy yakiniku alone as a woman without feeling self-conscious. The prices are not particularly great, but the service was good despite the current circumstances, whether due to a labor shortage or just because they are short-staffed. The floor was being managed by just one young female staff member, who seemed really busy but still provided good service at key moments. She was working hard! I wanted to cheer her on, but I couldn't say it out loud, so I sent my support silently in my mind.
