I came to Osaka and decided to climb Tsutenkaku. After that, I got hungry so I went to a famous kushikatsu restaurant called Kushikatsu Daruma located at the base of Tsutenkaku. The restaurant is known for its rule of no double-dipping in the sauce, and it was packed with customers. The kushikatsu I had was delicious as expected! I will definitely come back again!

I wanted to try kushikatsu during my trip to Osaka. I chose a restaurant called Kushikatsu Daruma because I also wanted to visit Tsutenkaku. When it comes to kushikatsu in Osaka, the rule is no double-dipping in the sauce. Unfortunately, the sauce was served in a container on the table. I ordered some freshly fried kushikatsu, and it was delicious as expected.

I visited for lunch on a weekday. I had eaten Daruma at another store a while ago, and I remember it being very delicious. I ordered both the original kushikatsu and beef tenderloin based on my memory of how delicious they were. The correct answer was the original kushikatsu. It was really delicious! I asked for extra sauce halfway through and enjoyed it with plenty of sauce. And when it comes to Osaka-style kushikatsu, you can't forget the pickled red ginger. The thinly sliced pickled red ginger was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a long time since I had kushikatsu at Daruma~ I came to eat kushikatsu at Tsutenkaku because I was craving it. The sauce is now in a bottle instead of the dipping sauce that you can't double dip in. If you ask, they will provide it. Ordering one by one is troublesome, so I got the Tsutenkaku set with doteni and also ordered additional scallops, pickled ginger, and onions. I enjoyed drinking and eating at the counter for the first time. It was delicious!

I went to Osaka and had dinner at Kushi-katsu Daruma in front of Tsutenkaku. I had the Shinsekai set, which includes the famous Doteyaki and a set of 12 kushi-katsu skewers. The skewers included shrimp, pork loin, asparagus, and red ginger, all of which were delicious. I especially liked the garlic-flavored chicken skewers and ended up eating three of them.

I went to the famous Daruma restaurant in the new world. It was around 2 PM and there were about 5 groups ahead of us, so we waited for about 20 minutes. I ordered a small set (1600 yen: 9 skewers and okonomiyaki) and a beer. We toasted with the beer that came out first along with the okonomiyaki. The okonomiyaki had a pre-made seasoning and honestly didn't taste good. The skewers that came out later, such as shrimp and pork, were delicious, but the rest were just average. The pushy attitude of the staff was also bothersome. Overall, I felt like this place is more geared towards tourists. I won't be coming back.

I ate here because it's famous and I wanted to try some authentic Osaka cuisine. The prices seem to have gone up since the last time I visited, and now they even charge for cabbage, which seems unnecessary. I didn't order it this time, but I felt like something was missing without it.

Let's visit "Ganso Kushikatsu Daruma Tsutenkaku Store" located right below Tsutenkaku Tower and enjoy some delicious kushikatsu! It's been about 10 years since I last visited Daruma. The original Daruma store is also in Shinsekai, and I went to see it before. The atmosphere around here has a unique Osaka vibe that I really like. Upon entering, I placed my order using mobile order. Due to the COVID-19 situation, they had changed to a style where you pour the sauce yourself. I ordered beef skewers, asparagus, pickled ginger, lotus root, shrimp, smelt fish, bamboo shoots, camembert cheese, and fried chicken. The crispy kushikatsu was amazing!

I brought my foreign friend who came to Japan for the first time to this restaurant. We waited for about 20 minutes because there were four of us. We ordered by scanning a QR code and placing our orders online. Each person's order came on one plate. The waiter tried to explain which dish was which, but they all looked similar and we couldn't tell which one was ours. As for the taste, the flavor of the oil used was a bit noticeable, and the meat was a little tough. However, the mozzarella cheese katsu, where the cheese stretched, was very delicious! Thank you for the meal.

After visiting Tsutenkaku, the first stop is here at "Ganso Kushikatsu Daruma Tsutenkaku Store". It's a famous restaurant so the seats are full! They asked us to wait a bit while they clean up! Does that mean we can sit right after they clean up? No, it's because it's crowded and the turnover is fast, so we have to wait! But after a short wait, we were called to our seats! We ordered beer and the Tsutenkaku set - 15 skewers and doteyaki! And kimchi too! As expected from a long-established restaurant! The skewers were amazing! Truly the best!

Of course, when it comes to Tsutenkaku, we had to stop by for kushikatsu. The location is right below Tsutenkaku and there was always a line. We started lining up at 1 PM on Saturday and it took about 45 minutes for 6 of us to get in. We couldn't help but order a beer in front of the kushikatsu and doteyaki. The doteyaki had a nice sweetness from the miso and beef tendons, making it irresistible. It was a great appetizer. As for the kushikatsu, we tried many different kinds and had a fun draft pick session. The variety of flavors in kushikatsu is definitely a highlight. However, you can also order individually, and the separately ordered onions were also amazing. The sweetness of the onions matched perfectly with the sweetness of the sauce. The sauce came in a bottle, so double dipping was okay!

This is a shop right in front of Tsutenkaku. There are many seats so it's good for large groups. They have various types of dishes, so we ordered a lot. The seasonal oysters and prawns were large and fragrant. Maybe because they were coated in batter, the aroma didn't escape. The original kushikatsu was delicious too, but depending on the type of meat, it can be tough and the batter may come off. Well, it's still tasty. Whenever I go to Osaka, I always visit Daruma, and eating there after a long time was delicious.

Originating from the world of kushikatsu, we visited Daruma, a popular chain with multiple locations in the Shinsekai area. This time, we went to the store near Tsutenkaku Tower and waited about 20 minutes before being seated. The kushikatsu here is served quickly and at a reasonable price, making it perfect for day drinking. The batter is light and crispy, and each skewer is delicious. It's easy to end up eating too much because it's so good.

This popular restaurant had a long line, about 30 minutes wait to get in! The interior was small with a counter. I decided to try the Daruma Ramune as well! As expected from the original kushikatsu place, the coating was completely different from what I had at other izakayas! It was really delicious! I also tried Doteyaki for the first time! The simmered beef tendon? It was delicious!! And the plates were cute too!

I enjoyed eating a variety of small skewers, including juicy and sweet onions, pork cutlet, lotus root, cheese, rice cake, meatballs, pork, and crispy cod roe. The onions were my favorite, so I ordered more. It was convenient to order using my phone.

When it comes to Osaka, you think of kushikatsu, so I visited a kushikatsu restaurant after 7 years. The food was not as impressive as I had hoped, but it still gave me a taste of Osaka. It was convenient to be able to order from my mobile phone. The batter was firm and crispy.

My wife and I came to Osaka, and for our first meal we had to try kushikatsu. We decided to go to the original shop. We started with dotenabe and tried all the classic dishes, and they were all delicious. The chicken skin gyoza was especially amazing. The flavor of the dotenabe was also to our liking. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

On the third day of the Osaka gourmet tour, the fourth stop. Okonomiyaki -> Kushikatsu -> Takoyaki -> Kushikatsu. Kushikatsu Daruma is a chain restaurant that I visited before when I was in Osaka, and it became my favorite among the several shops I visited. I was a bit disappointed at the previous shop, Omoya, because they didn't have the red pickled ginger skewers and the kushikatsu itself wasn't to my liking, so I felt a bit unsatisfied. I decided to go to the reliable Daruma. Even though I've been eating a lot, I couldn't order much, but I was very satisfied to be able to eat my favorite flavors. I reconfirmed that if it's kushikatsu, I prefer Daruma. The ordered items were: 2 red pickled ginger skewers, tomato, and a highball. Among the skewers, my favorite was the red pickled ginger, followed by the tomato. I have no regrets about the skewers I ordered. I drank various types of alcohol yesterday and it didn't sit well with me, so today I decided to stick with highballs. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal. Now, let's head to the fifth stop, a standing bar!
