I heard that they only open on weekends and decided to visit late at night. The ramen from Sano Ramen was indeed delicious. They can only make up to two bowls at a time, so there may be some waiting time if there are multiple people. However, if you are dining alone, it should not be a problem.

Sano Ramen Susumu-ya @ Bakurocho - A unique shop with operating hours only on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8 pm to 3 am. When open at the Bakurocho intersection, a sign is displayed. The shop is part of a rotating food court-like location called Nihonbashi Small Food Court, so dishes are served in disposable plastic containers. I ordered the Chashu Ramen for ¥1,200. It had a classic Sano Ramen taste, making it a good late-night option. The fact that they use tap water to serve water was a bit concerning. The shop seemed to be run by a single staff member, so service was a bit slow. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Since it was understaffed, there was quite a long wait. The noodles were overcooked, the soup was lukewarm, the chashu was cold, and they forgot to put in the green onions (but they gave them to me when I asked). The dish that came out was different from the menu image, so it was a slightly disappointing dinner. However, the soup was delicious.

I found a rare Sano Ramen shop in Bakurocho at night and decided to go in. They have a very irregular schedule, open on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8 pm to 3 am. Among the various ramen options, I sometimes crave the unique noodles of Sano Ramen. The ramen that came out was the classic Sano Ramen and it was delicious! If the opening days and hours match up, I would definitely want to go back for more. Thank you for the meal.

I had Sano Ramen. The soup has a strong soy sauce flavor, refreshing taste. The noodles are curly and have a wheat flavor. The toppings were green onions, bamboo shoots, and chashu. The chashu was very tender and delicious.
