I had some business in Tennoji and decided to visit a famous restaurant with high ratings on Tabelog. The restaurant has a long history and has been open since the year of the Expo. I arrived around 4:15 pm and found a table easily. I was intrigued by the original modern yaki dish, so I ordered the "ton" (pork) version with oil residue topping. The beer came in a large bottle. The dish arrived fairly quickly and was oval-shaped with a good portion size. It was my first time trying Abetan, and I was impressed by the delicious flavors. It reminded me of the tasty okonomiyaki I used to eat in the past. The combination of the dough, soba, and sauce was excellent, although I felt the amount of pork and oil residue topping was a bit lacking. Considering the affordable price, it wasn't a big issue. I thought about trying the pork topping next time. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and will definitely come back to try their okonomiyaki or negiyaki next time.

Abechika. The restaurant is spacious. As expected, even on weekday nights, there may be a wait for about one group. It's better to make a reservation in advance if you have a large group. They cook in front of you. The photo is of a dish that looks like suji ponzu and cheese yakisoba? I thought the yakisoba would have been better without cheese. It's nice to be able to see them cooking.

I went to the long-established okonomiyaki restaurant AbeTon for the first time in a while. I ordered the Sukicon Negi yaki and pork yakisoba. The Sukicon Negi yaki was thick and you can choose between a soy sauce-based sauce and a regular sauce, or you can have both with a half-and-half option.

I visited this restaurant for the second time around 1 pm for lunch and ordered the satisfying set meal. I opted for the small size of rice and it was definitely the right choice as the portion was generous. You can get extra servings of rice and miso soup, so make sure to order the right amount that you can finish! Thank you for the delicious meal.

Hmm. I'm not really hungry>^_^< and I'm feeling quite sleepy. However, today is a special event day at a pachinko parlor that I frequent (days with the number 5>^_^<), and I couldn't go in the morning due to work, but I plan to join in the afternoon. It comes with rice, miso soup, mini negiyaki, mini butatama, and mini yakisoba. I'm definitely a rice person when it comes to okonomiyaki. I won't go into details about why because it would be a long story. The waitress recommended putting ponzu sauce on the negiyaki, and it turned out to be refreshing and delicious>^_^< The okonomiyaki was topped with the usual reliable sauce. The freshly cooked yakisoba also had a fragrant sauce that whetted my appetite. After about 10 minutes at the table connected to the teppan, I finished my meal. Thank you for the meal.>^_^< As for the results of playing pachislot❓️ I managed to secure my daily earnings for the half-day of play>^_^<

I love it! I love the cheese tonpeiyaki at Abetonton so much that I invited my friends to join me. They also enjoyed the cheese tonpeiyaki and we ended up ordering more. We had drinks too, and it was 4,000 yen cheaper per person! I highly recommend trying it when you visit Osaka! Tonpeiyaki is a must-try!

For lunch, I wanted to eat okonomiyaki so I went to Abetonn in Abeno. It's a popular place, so I went a bit early around 11 am and was seated at the counter right away. After a while, there was a line of people waiting to get in outside the restaurant. After some thought, I ordered the Mix Modern (¥1080). The counter seats were right in front of the teppan grill where three people were cooking, so it was quite hot, but the excitement of feeling the Osaka flour dish being made was nice. The soft and crispy parts of the soba were good, and the squid, shrimp, and pork matched well. The balance of the sweet sauce was excellent, and it was a great value for the price. Truly worthy of Abetonn!

I went to the Abetom restaurant in Tennoji for lunch after a long time. They offer various set meals for lunch, so we decided to try the most popular Manpuku set for 990 yen and the second most popular Tonpei set for 930 yen to share. The Manpuku set includes mini negiyaki, mini butatama, and mini yakisoba, while the Tonpei set includes tonpei yaki and mini yakisoba. In hindsight, we should have ordered the Mini Modan & Tonpei set instead of the Tonpei set to avoid getting duplicate yakisoba. The sets were served on plates. The food was delicious, but the mini portions made the butatama and negiyaki a bit lacking in texture. The tonpei yaki was so tasty that it made me crave beer. The yakisoba had a typical flavor. The sets are a good way to try various flavors, but if you want to fully enjoy the okonomiyaki and negiyaki, it might be better to order regular sizes cooked on the hot plate. The set meals come with miso soup and rice. When asked about the size, we chose small, which was this size. This longstanding okonomiyaki restaurant seems to be adapting to the changes brought about by inbound tourism, but it still offers traditional flavors at traditional prices.

My son and I went to Tennoji for some errands. We couldn't decide where to go, so I let my son choose between ramen and okonomiyaki. We ended up at a place we had never been to before, and ordered the following dishes: ❤ sujikon negiyaki for ¥1380, butadama for ¥600, and cheese omu soba for ¥1180. We started with the cheese omu soba, which had a creamy sauce with cheese and eggs that went well with the yakisoba. Next, we had the negiyaki and butadama. The negiyaki had a mix of ponzu and sauce, with the ponzu being the winner. The butadama was fluffy and delicious. At first, my son noticed that the sauce was a bit sweet, but by the end, we were fighting over the ponzu part of the negiyaki. Next time, we might try the sauce with less sweetness, or just go for all ponzu on the negiyaki!

A one-night, two-day trip to Osaka. My daughter wanted to explore various places without going to USJ, so we decided to enjoy Osaka's flour-based cuisine culture. Our first meal after arriving was at this restaurant. We visited it after enjoying the height of Abeno Harukas. It's after 12:00 but there is still a line. It's a weekday during summer vacation. The lunch menu includes set meals (okonomiyaki, rice, miso soup), but I didn't feel like eating that much, so my daughter and I had Butatama (¥600) and Omusoba (¥800) together. It's cheap. The cheese omusoba seems to be popular at this restaurant, but I wanted to try the regular omusoba, so I chose that. Water is served in a jug. It was served in 10-15 minutes. Since we ordered while waiting in line, the service was quick. The omusoba had thick noodles with slightly sweet sauce. It was delicious. My daughter seemed to prefer it over the okonomiyaki. The okonomiyaki was fluffy type. It's light, so you can eat more than it looks. Some groups ordered various dishes to share, but there was also a gentleman enjoying okonomiyaki alone at the counter. There was also a woman dining alone. If this restaurant was nearby, I would definitely visit regularly. It's cheap and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant because I really wanted to eat okonomiyaki during my trip to Osaka! I stopped by before going to Abeno Harukas. The restaurant was popular and highly rated, so it was full as soon as it opened. It was worth the wait though. It's located at the back of Abeno underground and there were also charming bars along the way.

When I went to the underground shop on a weekday night, there was a wait of about three groups, but the interior was surprisingly spacious and the turnover was fast. I ordered the popular cheese omu-yakisoba, and it was really delicious! I went with my child, and they even provided a straw for the child and water, which was very thoughtful and appreciated. ♡

I had never eaten Negiyaki with such a thick layer of green onions before. It was really delicious. I recommend getting the sauce and ponzu half and half. Of course, the Okonomiyaki was amazing as well. The sauce is a bit sweet, which is nice. I like to sprinkle a lot of shichimi on top. I was very satisfied at Abeton.

I went to Abeton in Abeno Underground Shopping Street in Tennoji! This restaurant in the underground shopping street. When you think of Osaka, you have to eat okonomiyaki, so I went there! The interior of the restaurant is filled with counter seats in front of the teppan grill and table seats with teppan grills. It's located in a corner of the underground shopping street, but there were quite a few customers! This time, I ordered the Beef Tendon Stew Okonomiyaki (Abeton Mix) and Cheese Omelette Yakisoba. The beef tendon is also served in an aluminum foil container and placed on the teppan grill! They really use the teppan grill to the fullest! I was impressed by that. The taste was very tender and delicious. The flavor was strong, so it goes well with alcohol! The okonomiyaki was filled with shrimp, squid, octopus, scallops, and more! It's Osaka style to bring it to you right after cooking, so it's nice to eat it fresh without any hassle! They also poured plenty of sauce on top, and when you eat it, your mouth gets excited! It really warmed my heart! The final Cheese Omelette Yakisoba had the cheese melted and mixed with the eggs, making it very appetizing! The yakisoba was the type with medium-thick noodles and a generous amount of sauce. Fried foods are the best! It was so much fun and delicious... I was very satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

On Sunday, 7/9, I went to Abechika and Abeton for lunch after a long time. The restaurant has expanded in size, maybe even tripled. I had squid yakisoba and okonomiyaki with shrimp. The teppanyaki table seats now have electric grills, which make it easy to adjust the temperature. It's great for Osaka gourmet dining.

The restaurant is quite spacious, so we were seated at a table smoothly after it opened. I left the ordering to my local companion, and we chose the mixed grill and the grilled leeks. The dishes were cooked on a hot plate. The mixed grill had a nostalgic flavor, but the grilled leeks were particularly delicious. After having drinks during the day, I suddenly felt like eating okonomiyaki and quickly found a restaurant to enter. It was a weekday and not crowded, so I purposely chose to sit at the counter. I think I ordered the Mix Modern style. Even though Kansai people may know good local places, Abeton's food is really high quality! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

In June 2023, I visited the restaurant on a weekday when it opened. I was alone, but I was seated at a table. I ordered the "Nama Chuu Set" with "Tonkotsu" and "Mini Yakisoba" for 1,250 yen. Although there are many high-end restaurants in Namba, this place felt like the true essence of the area. The clientele seemed to prefer high-alcohol drinks even during the day. It was a good experience.

I arrived around 8:45 PM, but had to wait in line for about 10 minutes before being seated. I ordered horumon, yakisoba, and negiyaki, and they were served to me fairly quickly. The negiyaki with ponzu sauce was particularly delicious. It was close to closing time so I couldn't stay long, but all the dishes were tasty.

I was prepared for a long wait, but surprisingly I was able to get a table in about 20 minutes. The restaurant had counter seats and table seats, and I was lucky to get a table further inside where it was cooler. They took our order while we were waiting in line, so the food arrived within a few minutes of sitting down, which was very efficient. I ordered the popular No.2 dish, the Mix Modern, pork yakisoba (large portion), and it was delicious with a sweet and tasty sauce. I would definitely want to come back and order the Mix Modern again next time.
