The bookstore is where I can earn the most steps (lol). Walking around the bookshelves in circles can really rack up the steps. The air conditioning is working perfectly, so I don't even break a sweat, although my wife tells me "Stop it, you're bothering me!" I'll walk from the bottom to the top of Isetan, then Lumine, and take a break at Gran Duo's restaurant area for lunch. I remembered MyRebi's review mentioning Chicken Nanban, so after all this walking, I thought, why not have it with tartar sauce? I got the Chicken Nanban set at "Torimina," a chain by Japan Restaurant System which also operates "Yomenya Goemon," "Hamburger & Steak Tawaraya," "Hoshino Coffee," "Tamago to Watashi," and more. Now, at "Torimina" ♡ they use "Date Chicken," known for its tender texture, rich flavor, and low odor. I randomly ordered the Chicken Nanban set, and it was really, really delicious! The texture and taste of the chicken meat were so fine and well-balanced that I almost want to show you a close-up photo of the cross-section of the chewed chicken meat! The flavor of Chicken Nanban is not only about the seasoning but also about the quality of the chicken meat, as I realized once again. That's why Miyazaki Jitokko's Chicken Nanban is so delicious... I just realized it now... So, what about Nagoya Cochin, Amakusa Daioh, Hichin Chicken, Awaodori Chicken, Satsuma Chicken, Tamashamo, Oyama Chicken, and all the other branded chickens' Chicken Nanban? I had a set of chicken broth ramen and a half oyakodon. The egg in the oyakodon was rich and delicious. The chicken in the dish had about 4 or 5 small pieces that were like little stones. The chicken chashu in the chicken broth ramen was as expected, so I made the right choice not to order it separately.

The chicken white broth ramen is good... it has a gentle flavor. The parent and child rice bowl is incredibly delicious! I should have ordered the full size instead of the half size... I wonder if they offer a large size option... I want to try the large size! There is no call button or anything once you place your order, so you have to call the staff yourself, which might be tough for those with social anxiety. I had some errands to run in Tachikawa, so I decided to stop by Tori Gomi for a meal before my appointment. I ordered the Spicy Tan Tan Men with Chicken White Soup, which caught my eye among the various options like Oyakodon and fried dishes. The flavor was delicious with a strong taste of sesame and Sichuan pepper. Personally, I would have preferred the noodles to be cooked a bit firmer. Next time, I'll try ordering a different dish. Tachikawa is located on the 7th floor of Grande Duo, at "Torigomi" restaurant. I thought it was called "Torigomi" but it's actually "Torigoaji" haha, my mistake^^; Today I had work in Akiruno. There was train delay information, so I left with plenty of time and ended up arriving more than an hour earlier than planned. Haha. Since I had some time, I decided to stroll around Grande Duo before taking the Ome Line train. By the way, I love Grande Duo Tachikawa♡ You can do almost all your shopping at Grande Duo. Honestly, I don't think I've ever been outside the station in Tachikawa haha (maybe just to Showa Kinen Park). Now, before it gets crowded, I decided to have lunch at Torigoaji. They offer a variety of lunch options using the popular brand chicken "Date Jidori", such as chicken white broth ramen and rice bowl dishes. I decided to indulge a little. *Chicken white broth and half parent-child rice bowl set ¥1380 Both the chicken white broth and parent-child rice bowl were made with the luxurious Date Jidori chicken, and they had a refined taste. It was delicious♪ Now, I have plans to come back here next week, so I'm thinking about what to eat next time.

First time at the restaurant! I ordered the chicken broth char siu ramen. The soup was delicious, but personally, I felt like the noodles didn't quite match... The noodles were flat and seemed more like pasta noodles... It's a shame because the soup was tasty... Also, they don't accept PayPay or ID for payment, which was disappointing.

Lunch on November 20, 2022 (Sunday) with my partner. Had work in the afternoon in Musashimurayama. We had lunch in Tachikawa because it looked like it was about to rain and we were short on time. We decided to go to the 7th floor of Grande Duo after checking out a couple of places. We ended up choosing this restaurant. Upon searching later, I found out that it is part of the Nihon Restaurant Systems, which also owns Gogoen and Hoshino Coffee, and there are currently four locations under this name. We ordered the Oyako-don and half ramen (1380 yen) and the Teriyaki-don and half ramen (1480 yen). The bowls and ramen arrived shortly. The Oyako-don had a nice runny egg and a slightly sweet flavor with the chicken having a bit of a chewy texture. It was decent overall. The Teriyaki-don had a crispy skin on the chicken, but it was just okay. The half ramen was chicken white broth soba, which was surprisingly tasty. The total bill came to 2860 yen.

Around 2:10 in the afternoon, I visited with one companion, making a total of two people. We secured a four-person table on the right side upon entering. We ordered the seared thigh meat teriyaki bowl (served with chicken soup and pickles) for 1,100 yen, and the seared Datte chicken parent and child bowl (served with chicken soup and pickles) for 980 yen. "Torimina" has several locations not only in Tokyo, but also in other areas, and is a brand operated by Japan Restaurant Systems Co., Ltd., which also manages "Hoshino Coffee" and "Yo!mienya Goemon." The cleanliness inside the restaurant was impressive. They use Datte chicken, a local specialty from Fukushima Prefecture, which is tender and free of any unpleasant odor. Visited on a Saturday night at a restaurant located on the restaurant floor of Grande Duo, a commercial facility adjacent to JR Chuo Line Tachikawa Station. There are also a few branches in Tokyo. Ordered the Chicken Paitan Ramen & Mini Oyakodon set for 1,380 yen. The ramen was not greasy, with a very light soup and mild saltiness. The noodles were medium-thick straight flat noodles. It was just right for slurping the soup while eating, but I wished the noodles were thinner. The chashu was moist with a nice texture, and the chopped green onions were fresh and neatly arranged. Overall, the portion size was on the smaller side. The oyakodon had a sweeter sauce, and the Idate chicken meat wasn't particularly impressive, resembling supermarket yakitori with little meat. It felt like eating egg over rice in a soy sauce-based broth. It was decently tasty, but I was hoping for a bit more excitement.

Sometimes, I decided to try eating at the station. The parent and child rice bowl is priced at 1,000 yen, which is quite expensive for a station. Well, if it's because of the quality, then it's okay, I guess. Now, about this place? The interior is spacious with about 60 seats. The tables are of normal size, not too big or too small. Since it seems like the place is mostly run by part-timers, it's understandable. Now, the most important part, the food, was disappointing. The rice wasn't tasty, and the chicken was all dry. It's not exactly bad, but it's not great either. The atmosphere is nice, so it's okay if you're mainly there for a chat.

I went to a restaurant that I was curious about. Although I wasn't very hungry, I decided to try multiple flavors, so I ordered the "Mini Oyakodon" (¥500) and the "Mini Chicken White Soup Ramen" (¥500). The "Mini Oyakodon" had poorly cooked eggs and the chicken tasted a bit off. The "Mini Chicken White Soup Ramen" was too salty. The service was friendly and pleasant, but considering the taste, I won't be coming back.

We visited the restaurant "Torimina Glanduo Tachikawa Store" in the restaurant area on the 7th floor of the Tachikawa Station Building with my partner for dinner at 8:30 pm. The restaurant, which opened in March this year, is still new and clean. We were the only customers at the time and we were seated at a table. As the name suggests, the restaurant specializes in chicken, specifically a breed called Date Chicken, which is originally from Date City in Fukushima Prefecture. Date City has historical ties to the Date family, although it is located in Fukushima Prefecture rather than Miyagi Prefecture. We ordered the "Torimina Bowl (1100 yen)" and a highball for me, and my partner ordered the "Date Chicken Breast with Green Onion Salt Grilled Set (1180 yen)." The dishes came with chicken soup and pickles. The Torimina Bowl included fried chicken, yakitori, chicken chashu, and various parts of the Date Chicken, but the portions were small and the chicken didn't have the expected texture. Personally, I thought my partner's dish was better. It was a learning experience about Date Chicken. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I had the Cheese-in Chicken Katsu at Tori Gomi Grand Duo Tachikawa. Chicken katsu alone can be dry, but with the cheese inside, it becomes incredibly delicious. The cheese is gooey and amazing! I will definitely come back to eat it again.

Chicken white broth ramen and half oyakodon set I couldn't forget the chicken white broth ramen, so I had to come back again. This time, I didn't get the half size, but it was still very delicious. The lunch drink for 80 yen is also appreciated.

The Datte Chicken Bowl and Half Ramen with Chicken Paitan Soup were delicious. The taste of the Oyakodon was also good and I feel like I could get addicted to it.

I had the Chicken Nanban set meal. The chicken was juicy, tender, and satisfying to eat. It was large and filling, and went well with plenty of tartar sauce. The salad was also fresh and delicious. Thank you for the meal.
