In Kyobashi, you can enjoy sushi at a deep area right near the station. The 2nd floor restaurant is like a calm separate world. Sitting at the counter, you can appreciate the chef's skillful handiwork. The quality of the flounder and golden eye snapper is excellent, and the lean tuna and simmered conger eel showcase the chef's expertise. The simmered conger eel, despite its shape, feels weightless and delicate, leaving a crispy aftertaste that quickly fades away. I was truly impressed. The small bowl and chawanmushi exude elegance. Firefly squid, it must be spring. Even the grilled dishes are flawless at this restaurant. Kuroshio Kaikou is truly wonderful. The dishes on this day included appetizers (uni pudding, blanched chrysanthemum greens, and raw scallops with green seaweed vinegar), sashimi (amberjack and yellowtail), a small bowl (salmon roe and caviar with flying fish roe), the first sushi set (squid with yuzu salt, lean tuna, flounder, and scallop with plum paste), a steamed dish (miso-covered chawanmushi with firefly squid and bamboo shoots), the second sushi set (shrimp, sea urchin, golden eye snapper, fatty tuna, and simmered conger eel), a rolled dish (dried gourd roll with red miso soup and green seaweed), and dessert (seasonal dessert with matcha sherbet, sweet red bean paste, and strawberries).

I visited this day with a reservation for a 18,000 yen course. It was my first time having sushi in Kyobashi since visiting Kizuna before. The restaurant seems to be the Osaka branch of a Tokyo restaurant that has been awarded a Michelin star. The sushi rice is seasoned with red vinegar, which I love. The head chef is from Kyushu and is very friendly, making the dining experience very enjoyable. He is full of creative ideas and shows great consideration for the customers. The appetizer platter included items like mozuku seaweed and roast beef, which were perfect for starting the meal. The sashimi of the day included octopus from Wakayama and sea bream from Ehime, both of which were incredibly delicious. The sea bream from Ehime had a perfect balance of firmness and sweetness. The octopus was lightly grilled on the suction cup part, enhancing its texture and flavor. Next was the "gout" bowl, which featured ikura, sea urchin from Hokkaido, and "tobikko," a rare delicacy. The sea urchin was particularly exquisite, with a delightful creamy texture. The meal continued with various sushi selections, including tuna belly, horse mackerel, and ark shell, all of which were outstanding. Each sushi had its unique touch, like grilling the skin of the golden eye snapper and serving it with yuzu ponzu sauce. The meal also included a delicious steamed egg custard with sea urchin, followed by a sake tasting session with brands like "Taketsuru" and "Nabeshima." The abalone with liver sauce and gold leaf was a luxurious treat, with the liver sauce having a subtle bitterness that complemented the tender abalone perfectly. The meal ended with a variety of sushi, including a unique creation of snow crab and caviar with Chinese cabbage. The squid with truffle salt was a surprising combination that worked well together. Overall, it was a delightful and enjoyable dining experience in Kyobashi. Thank you, head chef!

Ehime's Michelin-acclaimed restaurant, Kuroshio Kaikan, has opened in Osaka. Despite being a Michelin-recognized restaurant, it is not too expensive and is perfect for special occasions like anniversaries or birthdays. The omakase sushi course (upper) costs ¥9,980 and includes a variety of dishes such as seasonal appetizers, sashimi of sea bream, ikura and caviar bowl, 8 pieces of nigiri sushi, grilled saury, chawanmushi, rolled sushi, red miso soup, and dessert (watermelon). The chef uses top-quality natural ingredients and the vinegared rice melts in your mouth. The fatty tuna nigiri is a favorite, with a rich and melty texture. The grilled dish featured saury, a seasonal ingredient. They carefully select seasonal ingredients to provide a truly satisfying experience. If you want to enjoy delicious sushi and are willing to splurge a little, be sure to visit this place!

I visited a Michelin-starred sushi restaurant in Ehime, where you can enjoy sushi courses for less than 10,000 yen. The restaurant has an L-shaped counter and quite a few private rooms. I ordered the 7,980 yen chef's choice sushi course, which included a platter of 3 appetizers, a small bowl of ikura and caviar, 4 pieces of sushi (squid, bonito, amberjack, and yellowtail), 4 pieces of sushi (black tiger shrimp, cuttlefish, red snapper, and gilt-head bream), a seafood roll, red miso soup, and dessert. The red vinegar rice was flavored nicely with yuzu, yuzu pepper, and plum paste, and all the sushi toppings were delicious. The cuttlefish with grated ponzu sauce was particularly good, and the tuna had a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Since I arrived at 5:00 PM, the service was quite smooth, and I was able to leave by 6:20 PM. By the time I left, the counter was fully occupied, so it's advisable to make a reservation for weekends.

Sushi restaurant Kuroshio Kaikou in Osaka Kyobashi, just a 3-5 minute walk from Kyobashi Station. Located in a drinking district in Kyobashi, this sushi restaurant offers reasonably priced meals and is easy to make reservations. Next door, there is a teppanyaki restaurant, so you can enjoy both sushi and teppanyaki. While there are private table seats available, it is recommended to sit at the counter for sushi. The friendly and kind owner creates a pleasant dining atmosphere. We tried the omakase sushi course (special). The course started with beautifully arranged dishes such as fresh scallops, grilled conger eel with burdock, grilled eggplant, and light bean pudding. Then we had kelp-marinated sea bream and chewy octopus sashimi. The balanced mix of ikura and caviar sushi with a strong salty flavor that becomes perfect when mixed with the vinegar rice. The sushi course continued with meticulously cut swordtip squid with a lemony accent, firm and fatty striped jack from Uwajima with a yuzu flavor, and red tuna marinated in yuzu. The seared mackerel with a crispy skin and the beautifully contrasting seared grunt were also highlights. The course included a luxurious chawanmushi with eel and corn, fatty toro from Oita with a rich sweetness, and summer-seasoned natural amberjack from Hyogo with grated ponzu. The Madagascar black tiger shrimp, uni from Hokkaido, and classic simmered conger eel all had unique flavors and textures. The course ended with a rolled sushi with nori and pickled gourd, red miso soup, and refreshing watermelon for dessert. Overall, the course provided a high level of satisfaction at a reasonable price. This sushi restaurant is a great choice for those looking for a restaurant that is not too expensive or too cheap. Be sure to visit! Thank you for the meal!

Located just a short walk from Kyobashi Station in Osaka, "Osaka Kyobashi Sushi Kuroshio Kaikou" is a stylish sushi restaurant on the second floor of a building filled with izakayas. With a counter seating for 9 and private rooms available, the atmosphere is chic and inviting. I was invited by a foodie friend to try their omakase sushi course (special) on this visit. We started with a toast with draft beer and began the omakase course, which included: - Seasonal appetizer platter - Fresh scallop and sea bream sashimi - Ikura and caviar mini rice bowl - Squid and striped jack sushi - Red tuna, horse mackerel, tilefish, conger eel, and more sushi varieties - Eel and corn chawanmushi - Fatty tuna - Natural amberjack and black tiger prawn - Uni and conger eel - Tekka maki roll - Red miso soup - Watermelon for dessert The appetizer platter was well-seasoned, and the fresh scallop and sea bream sashimi were particularly delicious. The sushi had unique flavors, with the striped jack, conger eel, and fatty tuna standing out. The rice was well-balanced and easy to eat, especially for women. Reservations are relatively easy to make, and the restaurant offers a reasonable price for a satisfying amount of food. I would love to visit again if given the chance. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Near Kyobashi Station in Osaka, there is an exciting street filled with standing bars, izakayas, and yakiniku restaurants, making it a bustling nightlife district that represents Kyobashi. I didn't know there was a sushi restaurant here. Since visiting Sushi Kizuna, which is known for being featured in the Michelin Guide, I have been looking forward to trying sushi again. I was excited to see what they had to offer. The restaurant is located on the second floor, with a counter seating for 9 people and private rooms. My friend and I naturally chose the counter seats to enjoy the live sushi-making show by the head chef. The staff were excellent, providing detailed explanations of each dish. The atmosphere was elegant and serene, and we quickly finished our beers. The first dish was a small bowl of ikura and caviar on red vinegar rice, topped with wasabi and citrus. The flavors were delightful, and it paired perfectly with the beer. Then we enjoyed a variety of nigiri sushi, followed by a palate cleanser of eel and corn chawanmushi. The final course included Engawa, kanpyo maki, and bettara zuke. For dessert, we had refreshing watermelon. The staff's professionalism and the chef's attention to detail made our dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. The chef's unique approach to seasoning each sushi piece without the need for soy sauce was impressive. The omakase sushi course we had reserved for 7,980 yen was worth every penny. I wonder what the "premium" course for 18,000 yen would be like. After a satisfying meal, we left the restaurant feeling light on our feet, ready to move on to our next destination. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I made a reservation and visited in the evening. The place seemed more like a sushi corner rather than a proper sushi restaurant, with a strange smell coming from the pipes. The fish lacked flavor and the rice was bland. Overall, the atmosphere was trying to be nice but the experience was disappointing.

I had the 9,980 yen omakase sushi course at a restaurant near Kyobashi Station. The appetizers included three types of dishes, such as marinated sea bream with kelp, which had a nice texture and delicious taste. The course also featured soy sauce-marinated salmon roe, chewy caviar, and tender red vinegar squid. The sushi included flavorful fish like premium horse mackerel from Nagasaki and rich-tasting amberjack from Oita. The grilled fish, simmered fish, and steamed egg with eel and corn were unique combinations that surprisingly worked well together. The fatty and sweet amberjack from Oita was a standout. The grilled rare Ise meichidai with grated daikon and ponzu sauce was fluffy, tender, and fragrant. The course ended with Madagascar shrimp, Hokkaido sea urchin, and pickled burdock roll. Overall, the chef's carefully selected fish from the market were all delicious, and I had a truly luxurious dining experience. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Osaka Kyobashi Sushi Kuroshio Kaiko / Kyobashi (Kuroshio Kaiko) Just a 3-minute walk from JR Kyobashi Station, this restaurant has a great location but a calm atmosphere inside. We enjoyed authentic Edomae sushi at this Michelin Guide-listed restaurant. Sitting at the serene wooden counter, we had the Chef's Choice [Upper] course for 9,980 yen (tax included), which included: - 3 types of appetizers - Grilled eggplant with ginger - Squid and conger eel roll - Marinated sea bream - Salmon roe and caviar mini bowl - Sushi selection including squid from Nagasaki, Kasumi sea bream from Goto Islands, bluefin tuna from Oita, seared isaki from Ishinomaki, and flounder from Shimane - Seasonal dish of grilled mackerel with sesame vinegar - Steamed egg custard with eel and corn - Chef's Choice [Second] course, including fatty tuna from Oita, Meita Dai from Ise, Black Tiger prawn from Madagascar, and sea urchin from Nemuro, Hokkaido - Kanpyo roll - Red miso soup - Today's dessert of watermelon - Drink: Oolong tea The Chef personally selects the finest natural ingredients at the market, ensuring top quality. As this is Edomae sushi, the vinegared rice perfectly complements the fresh fish. Each piece is carefully crafted with exquisite timing, from the fatty tuna and seared Meita Dai to the ikura and caviar. We savored every bite, including the last roll. It was a truly luxurious and delightful experience enjoying authentic Edomae sushi. Located at 3-4-13 Higashinodamachi, Miyakojima-ku, Osaka City, Claire Kyobashi 2F. Contact: 050-5872-4374. Ehime's Michelin-starred restaurant has opened in Kyobashi. It is located right after exiting the north exit! On a street lined with standing bars, but going up to the second floor feels like entering a different world. Sushi Kuroshio Kaikaku has counter seats and private rooms, suitable for dates and business entertainment. We tried the Chef's Choice Sushi Course (upper level) which included appetizers like scallops with seaweed and yuzu pepper, and grilled eggplant with ginger, sashimi, rice bowl with soy sauce-marinated Hokkaido salmon roe, various sushi including baby squid, horse mackerel, bonito, grilled sandfish, hachibiki, and fatty tuna, as well as eel and corn chawanmushi, steamed fish, more sushi like sea bream and flounder, shrimp, sea urchin, and rolled sushi with gourd, red miso soup, and a seasonal dessert like watermelon. The sushi was just the right size with thoughtful touches in each piece, all delicious! I've never heard of hachibiki before. The side dishes were also tasty, and the sushi course was substantial. They also offer affordable lunch options!

I had a delicious sushi course at a restaurant just a short walk from Kyobashi Station! During lunchtime, I visited this place and sat in a very comfortable chair, making me feel relaxed, so I ordered a bottle of beer! The dishes started with appetizers and then the sushi was made, each one carefully prepared. The chef also talked about seasonal ingredients and fish, making the whole experience very enjoyable. The Kyobashi area has many casual restaurants, but if you want to enjoy delicious and leisurely sushi, this restaurant is recommended! Thank you for the meal.

The surrounding shops near Kyobashi are quite different. After climbing the stairs and entering the store, you are immediately transported away from the hustle and bustle. I wanted to introduce my sushi-loving friends, so I made a reservation to visit. The omakase sushi course [special] included various dishes such as simmered eggplant, simmered chrysanthemum and bamboo shoots, thin bean pudding, tomato compote, pumpkin wrapped in cloth, and eel wrapped in lotus leaf. The early summer flavors were meticulously prepared one by one. The sashimi included kelp-marinated sea bream from Naruto, and seared striped jack mackerel from Shimane. The small bowl featured salmon roe and caviar, beautifully presented in a luxurious manner. The sushi selection included squid from Iki, striped jack mackerel from Uwajima, bluefin tuna from Oita, flounder from Shimane, and more. The grilled dish featured trout and green perilla with daikon, and scallop and zunda soybean paste. The steamed dish included eel and corn chawanmushi with corn paste in the egg mixture. The second round of sushi included ark shell from Aichi, blackthroat seaperch from Nagasaki, and more. The roll featured fatty tuna and pickled radish, and red miso soup with mitsuba and tofu. The seasonal dessert was red bean and mango ice cream, and hojicha tea. We started with a toast of sparkling wine for ¥1,000. The chef who started in June was very friendly and provided excellent service.

Ehime's Michelin-acclaimed restaurant has come to Kyobashi❗️ I went to "Osaka Kyobashi Sushi Kuroshio Kaikan" and had a great time☺️ When you go up to the second floor and open the door, you'll feel the sophisticated and adult atmosphere✨ This time, I had the sushi course and it was delicious from the appetizers to the dessert. Surprisingly, all the sushi ingredients are natural❣️ What left a strong impression on me was the fat greenling and the chawanmushi. The fat greenling had such delicious fat oozing out even before eating it! It was amazingly tasty with a sweet and light fat✨ The chawanmushi was a first for me with eel and corn inside! The sweetness of the corn was packed in tightly and it was delicious. If you ever go to Kyobashi, be sure to check it out☺️

I found a hidden gem of authentic Edomae sushi near Kyobashi Station. The sushi uses only natural ingredients, and the slightly warm red vinegar complements the flavors perfectly. They also have private rooms, making it suitable for business meetings or discreet dates. The lineup includes various appetizers, a delicious combination of corn and eel in the rice bowl, and a selection of sushi with standout white fish like flounder and sea bream. The steamed corn dish was particularly sweet and tasty. The atmosphere on the second floor exudes luxury, making it a great place for both casual dining and formal occasions. The wide selection of sake allows for perfect pairings with the sushi. Overall, a delightful dining experience in an area known for its many bars, offering a deeper exploration of Japanese cuisine.

Black Tide Kaikou, which was featured in the Michelin Guide in Hiroshima and Ehime prefectures in 2018, has opened a branch in Osaka! I visited the restaurant right away. It is located on the second floor of a building a little north of Kyobashi Station, surrounded by many standing bars. Although there is a sign, it may be a bit hard to find. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a counter and several private rooms, and there is a teppanyaki restaurant on the right side. This time, I had the omakase sushi course (upper). It included: - Appetizer - Red snapper sashimi - Salmon roe and caviar mini bowl - Flounder - Striped jack - Squid - Eel and corn chawanmushi - Umeshu jelly - Botan shrimp - Grilled trout with salt - Sea urchin - Medium fatty tuna - Conger eel - Seafood roll - Red miso soup - Dessert mango and tomato sherbet The food was all delicious from the appetizers to the nigiri sushi! It seemed like red vinegar was used, but the acidity was not overpowering. The fish was all tasty and satisfying. For the price of 10,000 yen, I think it was worth it. Personally, I thought it was great that the course included striped jack, which is quite rare and not often found in restaurants. Overall, I was very satisfied! I highly recommend you to try it out.

The counter at this restaurant has a row of private rooms. This time, I had the chef's special course. The appetizers were all beautifully and delicately flavored. Each piece of sushi was elegant and delicious. The sea bream was firm and fresh. The squid was incredibly tender with many fine cuts, shiny and beautiful. The eel and corn chawanmushi was incredibly delicious. The sweetness of the corn was a surprising flavor to experience in this form. And the dessert was delicious until the end. The sherbet tasted like mango at first, but then subtly transformed into a tomato flavor. It was a sherbet that changed in taste. It even had mango fruit pieces for a nice texture. It was delicious from start to finish. Thank you for the meal.

Michelin-featured restaurant from Ehime prefecture has opened in Kyobashi! Located among izakayas and standing bars, the restaurant offers a calm atmosphere on the second floor. I tried the omakase sushi course [upper] with 19 items for 9980 yen. The course included appetizers, sashimi, a small bowl, various sushi, side dishes, steamed dish, rolled sushi, red miso soup, and dessert. The chef carefully prepared each sushi in front of us, and they were all exquisite. The use of red vinegar in the sushi rice was outstanding. The ingredients were all top-quality and beautifully presented like works of art. The chawanmushi (savory egg custard) was particularly delicious, the best I've ever had. The restaurant offers great value for money and is highly recommended for dates and special occasions. They also serve teppanyaki, which I'm curious to try next time. They have lunch service as well, with reasonable prices, making it a great option for a satisfying meal.

We decided to visit this sushi restaurant near Kyobashi station for the first time in a while. It's located in a deep area of Kyobashi, Osaka, and we enjoyed the walk there. The street was lively with standing bars and people having a great time. The restaurant is on the second floor of a building, with a cozy atmosphere and a welcoming counter. We reserved the most affordable course for 7980 yen. We started with a toast of mandarin sake and cola, followed by appetizers like edamame pudding and simmered bamboo shoots. The sashimi of sea bream with plum soy sauce jelly was refreshing and delicious. The mini rice bowl with ikura and caviar was shiny and tasty. The sushi selection included amberjack, striped jack, bonito, and more. The eel and corn chawanmushi was a delightful summer dish. Grilled trout with green tea salt, tomato compote, and mashed edamame was unexpectedly delicious. The fatty tuna sushi was beautiful and delicious. The meal ended with red miso soup and a dessert of green apple and mango ice cream. The overall balance of the course was great, and we felt it was a good value for the quality of food. We plan to return when we want to enjoy casual sushi at the counter again.

I had a meal with a customer in Kyobashi and they told me they had made a reservation at a Michelin-acclaimed restaurant here. I was surprised to find such a restaurant in Kyobashi. Inside, the restaurant was divided into sushi and teppanyaki sections, but the overall setup felt like a converted izakaya. I tried the course meal, but for the price, the food was just okay. It wasn't as delicious as I had hoped. Perhaps because of the initial izakaya image, I was a bit disappointed. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be visiting this place again.
