I found this tofu shop at the end of last month and I've been missing it lately. I bought the special selected silk tofu and ganmo, and they were so delicious that I couldn't forget about them, so I came back again. It's a bit of a walk from Takadanobaba, but I just couldn't forget about it. The handsome staff at the shop are really cool and stylish. I bought 3 blocks of special selected silk tofu and 3 blocks of ganmo. I can't wait to get home and eat chilled tofu with salt and olive oil. I will definitely keep coming back here. This tofu is in the top 3 of all the tofu I've ever eaten. It's so delicious that I wouldn't be surprised if there was a line forming. I'm not a fan of tofu, so it has to be really delicious for me to eat it. The fact that I find it delicious is very credible. When you make yudofu, it's so smooth and creamy, with a mild tofu flavor. I can't even find the right words to describe it, but it's just incredibly delicious. I feel so happy. Thank you for the delicious tofu. Next time, I'll buy some fresh fried tofu and regular fried tofu to make inari sushi. I think I can make delicious inari sushi. I'm looking forward to it. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The "agedashi" (twice-fried at low and high temperatures) fried tofu is exceptionally delicious, and I personally consider it a hidden specialty of Takadanobaba. The fried tofu is stir-fried with komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach) and seasoned with soy sauce. Next, the "nama-age" (grilled tofu) is also delicious. Grilled and topped with grated daikon radish, drizzled with a good quality soy sauce, it's just perfect. While I have tried other dishes, I recommend starting with the fried tofu and grilled tofu. Be prepared to not be able to go back to the ones sold in supermarkets. With only 2 reviews on Tabelog, I think of this kind of modest but locally loved restaurant as a hidden gem.

During Golden Week, it's good to work diligently because good things will come your way (^o^). I received a treat from someone - donuts from a tofu shop in Takadanobaba! Many tofu shops offer donuts with okara, but this shop always has fresh ingredients and hot frying oil ready, so they would be missing out if they didn't sell them! I remember trying tofu from this shop before at Shin Yashiki, where their fried tofu was amazing. Tofu from a proper tofu shop always has a rich flavor and a firm texture, which is delicious. It's really sad to see nearby tofu shops disappearing over the years. In the past, we used to bring bowls and pots to the nearest shop to have tofu put in them. That was quite eco-friendly! Now, back to the main point - the donuts! They look cute with a crispy exterior and a soft inside. They are slightly smaller than Mister Donut, maybe similar to Krispy Kreme donuts. The oil is well-drained, and the texture is fluffy and chewy when you bite into it. This okara donut is the first of its kind for me - it's incredibly delicious! It's not as sweet as the pon de ring from Mister Donut, but it's firm, moist, and chewy with a subtle sweetness. Despite being a donut, the okara effect and the mild sweetness make it guilt-free, which is great. Next time I'm in Takadanobaba, I'll definitely buy tofu and donuts to take home. Thank you for the meal! I feel motivated for tomorrow!٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
