The restaurant had high Google ratings, so I had high expectations when I went. I ordered the 1300 yen fried chicken lunch. The staff were friendly and when I placed my order, they said, "I'll bring you something really delicious!" which raised my expectations even more. First, I had a salad. The dressing had a strong vinegar taste and there were slices of purple turnip or something similar on the greens. After finishing the salad, there was a bit of a waiting time before the appetizer. The fried chicken seemed to be taking a while to cook. Finally, after about 15 minutes, the plate arrived. It included the main dish and soup. The lunch was a set course, but the portions were quite small. There was a small dish of carrot salad, a small cup of corn potage, about 6 pieces of fried chicken, and a small bowl of rice. The carrot salad was just a bite, the soup was about two sips, and the rice was about 90 grams. The fried chicken came with mustard sauce, yuzu juice, gochujang sauce, and teriyaki sauce for flavor variations, but the staff recommended eating it without any sauce. The fried chicken was not very juicy and the taste was quite plain, so the sauces helped enhance the flavor. The rice was not very tasty, so I enjoyed it more with the mustard sauce. Overall, the fried chicken was similar to the kind you might find in a homemade bento box, not exceptionally delicious. The restaurant seemed to be trying their best to provide a good experience, but there is room for improvement, particularly in terms of portion size and value for money. It felt a bit lacking. The tiramisu dessert was light and delicious.
