'15/01/31 revisited - The juiciness and pleasant texture of the bone-in ham were truly divine.
'14/01/26 - Today, I purchased authentic sausages in Tachikawa. I aimed for German-style at "Zehof." The store's appearance, atmosphere, and selection exuded a top-notch quality. It's been a while, so let's have a sausage party at Zehof for dinner. The glass case in the store beautifully displayed the goods. Cakes are nice, but sausages are also wonderful. I was excited to choose which sausages to get. The more I looked, the more I wanted to have a beer. Today, I got four types of sausages, four of each. They are sold by weight in grams. "Weisswurst 4 pieces (668 yen)," "Japanese-style wurst 4 pieces (340 yen)," "Garlic wurst 4 pieces (455 yen)," "Fresh sausages 4 pieces (290 yen)." Oh, the gold medal-winning bacon also looked delicious. I sliced about four thick slices on the spot. "Thick-sliced bacon 4 pieces (405 yen)." It's recommended to simmer it like pot-au-feu, but today I'll have it grilled. I grilled the large, thick bacon on a hot plate. Wow, the smoky aroma was amazing, and the fat was juicy. It was like the bacon Calcifer cooked in Howl's Moving Castle. The Weisswurst, which won the silver medal, was white, thick, with a fine and fluffy texture. It was easy to eat with plenty of basil and lemon flavor. The garlic wurst had a strong skin that cracked and crunched. It felt like a coarsely ground sausage that goes well with beer. The skin of the fresh sausage was chewy and also delicious. The Japanese-style wurst had a gentle soy sauce flavor with the kick of shiso and sesame. The gentle skin had a nice texture and was delicious. Each one had its own unique character in terms of sound, texture, aroma, and flavor. With a beer in hand, you'll want to conquer all the varieties. In conclusion, the authentic German-style sausages and bacon with unique personalities were truly divine. Thank you for the delicious meal.'
